Ordered some ukulele strings from Duke of Uke, but when I checked the postage it had more than doubled. I left a message on their chat app asking why. No more than 15 minutes later, Paul from Duke of Uke, called me to explain that there was a fault on their website, which they were unaware of until I sent my message. This had now been rectified and that my postage had been refunded. That's what I call great customer service. Well done.

Very slow service online. I ordered 11 days ago now. Order still hasnt been processed. I dont mind the wait but they havent even kept me updated with why it's taking so long. I have emailed twice for information and still havent recieved a reply. Had I known it would take so long previously I would have ordered elsewhere. Hopefully it will turn up at some point.

Visited the store yesterday (07 March 2020) with my daughter to buy a new instrument for her birthday and was very impressed.
Staff were knowledgeable and attentive and we were in the store for over an hour trying out various different ukuleles, comparing and contrasting.
We eventually settled on a beautiful spruce topped Kala which my daughter is delighted with together with a good quality hard case and capo.
If you are in the market for a new ukulele or want any related help or advice this place is really the only place to go! They also have a good website but, to my mind, nothing quite like visiting a store and being able to try before you buy.

I from the US and planned on visiting during my few hours in London. It was so worth it even though I arrived on a Friday just prior to close. The power was off due to a light installation, but plenty enough light to buy a uke (a Duke tenor) change the G string to low G, and buy a gig bag to get back to the States. Wanted a shirt but they were redesigning them. (Oh well) Brought back cards and have passed them out to my ukulele group. Can't wait to return again.

Absolutely atrocious experience. Don’t buy form them online...... I purchased a £300 uke on the Sunday. It didn’t even get processed until the following Wednesday. Then they had to check the delivery address. They then said they couldn’t deliver to that address. Then they could. I spoke to them and I was told it would be with me Thursday or Friday. I then rang them on the Saturday. They said they would ring me back. They didn’t. It is now Sunday and and I am considering cancelling my order, merely out of principle.

Wonderful place! I went in as a complete beginner, and was patiently helped to choose the right ukulele for me. We went through a wide range of instruments, and he showed me some chords so that i could try it out, and also offered to play so i could listen to it properly. Patient, friendly, and happy to answer all of my questions, no matter how silly, we talked about construction, wood types, and the impact on sound. I came out knowing far more than I did when I arrived.
Prices are very competitive.
I am extremely happy, strumming away on my new little friend!

A great little shop with a huge range of beautiful instruments. The staff were exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Really good range of ukuleles. They've got some reasonably priced 'entry level' type ukuleles right on through to the top end.
I found the staff really helpful when choosing a new ukulele, they talked to me about what I was after then let me play a few of them to get a feel of them.
If I were to buy another ukulele I'd definitely come back here to do it!

A delightful shop where the friendly owner was very helpful and gave honest advice about what to buy. As a beginner I felt self conscious and sensing that, he played on the ukelele so I could appreciate the different sounds. Once I plucked up courage to play he joined in and gave me the space to try each one. Absolutely recommend this shop!

Wonderful shop - totally agree with every review about the real community they've created. Amazing customer service, good range of both cheap and spendy instruments and (my favourite), they host live gigs in the shop itself. Or rather, they did - I haven't got an email from them in a few months and really hope they haven't stopped their seasonal singalongs. What a lovely place.
