Went to Duke of Uke on the weekend to buy my first ukulele. Didn't have any idea of what I was looking for, but the staff member at the shop was extremely helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend going to this lovely little shop.

Brilliant little shop run by passionate and knowledgeable people. Have been through the whole life-cycle of the ukulele with them now, from purchasing my very first instrument, attending group lessons in the shop and having the talented Matthew (shop owner) expertly install a pickup in my uke at short notice so I can go electric at gigs! What I love about the shop is that they are not snobs (like in so many small music retailers) but don't mind if you're just starting out or have silly questions. Highly recommended!

Hand-on-heart the best service I have ever received from a music shop. The customer before me just starting out and myself an actor-musician (just back from tour so I've shopped around) both received high quality, friendly, personal service. Matthew and I tried different types of ukulele, wood-type, sound type and he helped me buy the ukulele that was right for me (like Ollivander in Harry Potter) instead of trying to hard-sell the most expensive uke (and even then that wasn't as high as it could have been). They even gave me a better deal than I was after (and I didn't have a budget) and after being recommended here a year ago from another performer, I too am here to spread the good news!

Be careful. I purchased a ukulele from the store. When I tried to return it, I was told that I was unable to do so because I did not have the original CD and tuner that accompanied it. This was after I had alerted the store to the problem, and they had said that it would be fine to return with just the receipt (which I was able to present). I was left feeling very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Best to avoid.

Brilliant. Went there too buy a gift. Zero music snobbery, lots of help. The receipt had the music for Bowies Heroes on the back of it!. The only downside? Now I might have to buy myself a Uke from there!

Fantastic little place for ukeleles, banjos, and even some guitars. Great for accessories as well, with selections of picks, capos and straps. The staff are well informed and helpful, not to mention their friendliness. Would give it 6 stars if I could. If you are interested in ukeleles and and find yourself in London I would definently reccomend stopping by.

Went there yesterday to upgrade from my Lanikai Tenor and get a solid wood Concert. Only been playing since Christmas and no prior musical experience so had a ton of questions. All answered by 2 chaps with thought and depth. Lots of ukes to try out and 60 mins of whittling the choice down to 2 ukes. Then another 20 mins of trying to figure out which one was best for me! Absolutely fantastic customer service. Thank you so much.
