I figured half an hour was long enough to wait for my ordered cocktails, so we left. Especially with so many staff milling around looking sulky. Shame, used to love it here.

Very beautiful decor which would have looked even even more beautiful in the day. The waitress was very lovely and polite. We had a massive steak to share between the two of us, with two sides and two glasses of wine as it was steak and wine night. The steak was cooked beautifully! The sides portions were quite small. Overall, very pleasant so would recommend and would go again!

I took my team here for a late holiday lunch. It was perfect; the atmosphere was very much in the holiday spirit and the service and food were wonderful. Afterwards we moved to a table by the bar to have drinks and our server from our old table came over to bring us water. It was a very nice experience and lent to a lovely holiday outing.

Really disappointing from start to end. Had table of 4 booked for 3pm and was initially offered a coffee table joint to waiting area as a table to dine on. The table was really low not suitable for dining so asked could we have a regular table. The hostess was in fact really helpful with this, it couldn't have been her first time listening to this complaint and a table was arranged 15 mins later. The service whilst polite was incredibly incredibly incredibly slow. Food items took 40 + minutes and had missing items when it finally did arrive. Even grabbing attention for water proved difficult. Dessert was forgotten and when it finally arrived the pancakes were burned and not of serving standard. Again, the waitress and waiters were very polite but the service was unorganised and poorly managed. Requested the bill 3 times from different staff before having to go up to till and ask for the bill there and then after 20+ mins of waiting. We didnt fancy paying service and wanted to leave a cash tip for waitress as she was polite, however the manager seemed baffled by the fact we didnt want to pay service, his approach and attitude towards a legitimate complaint was unprofessional to say the least. Maybe a bad day but bad enough to not entice me to return.

Really nice venue. Staff very attentive, manager was very hospitable as I am breastfeeding and needed a quiet place to feed my baby.

I attended this restaurant with my best friend for her 30th birthday. Nice food but unfortunately the atmosphere was not the most accommodating. The welcome staff were not so welcoming. Our waitress seemed rushed and unapproachable; we often had to ask for service and felt we were being an inconvenience. I emailed B&H ahead of my reservation and asked for the possibility of any special touches as I had booked to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday; the restaurant replied they would be happy to accommodate this but on our visit this request was completely ignored. This is all extremely disappointing since a 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill - a charge I did not feel comfortable asking to be removed as the waitress was so unapproachable. The restaurant has much potential but I would expect much better from the customer service, especially since they charge for it for a party as small as two people.

Great food, appropriate prices, beautiful place. Service was ok but we had to ask the waitress if she was sure there wasn't space (she had said there were no tables for walk ins) before she bothered going to check and then was able to find us a table. The waiter also said they could do the eggs however we wanted, however didn't understand that we wanted the yolks well done.

Excellent decor & a large range of drinks are available in an ambient music & light mood setting with plenty of natural light. There is a small menu on offer with breakfast, pancakes, poached eggs & savoury dishes circa £10 plus side & pudding servings available as well at reasonable prices.
Located next to a park it is a really good for chilling during the summertime.
The staff are polite in this spacious, internal area with very comfortable seating and even seating for one. It is worth a visit to this high standard British eatery for young, mature & family guests alike.
Advanced bookings are advised although some walk-ins are permitted during non-peak hours as I was advised it does get busy.
Guests were in smart, casual attire where trainers, sportswear & summer wear are permitted. There was no apparent dress code.
A little judgmental so you have to make of it what you will if you decide to attend. :)

A stunning venue, bright and airy with an 'orangery' feel. I was a guest of the upstairs kitchen which was beautiful. Well worth a trip for the log fire.

Very nice venue, slightly disappointed that despite booking me and my other half were left with the option of sitting on a couch next to other random people or to sit at the bar. Staff were top rate and although the cocktail menu didnt have a favourite drink of mine, the experienced staff made one up on the spot for me. Very impressed.

Food and drink were ok, but the service is terrible. My friends and I went for a celebration, the staff were rude to us throughout and in the middle of our celebration (presenting the cake), they forced us to leave our table with the cake and our drinks unfinished. We asked if we could temporarily transition to other table or the waiting area just to finish and they said no. They could have been accommodating because no one waiting and there were other tables free but they chose not to be and ruined our celebration.

My daughter booked brunch a month ago or so. When we arrived, reception said we were sitting at the bar. That is not what we booked or expected. With no explanation nor apologies they made us wait saying they were going to TRY and sort it out. Another couple arrived and were shown straight to their table. What had we done wrong to have to wait??? We eventually were shown at a table and there were several tables free around us... fortunately our waitress was really sweet. although they got part of our order wrong Food was good but nothing really different from other brunches. All in all the reception we had put a bad taste in our mouth

The food was reasonable but the service was poor. I was disappointed by the whole experience given the restaurant's reputation.
The food and drinks were extremely slow. When they eventually arrived the waitress plonked them down in a grumpy manner. A smile would have gone a long way. In a group of two both of our breakfasts were missing items, even though they were just standard orders off the menu.

The service is rude. The receptionists were completely lost and slightly condescending. The waitress that served us, could not explain the dishes. The food is ridiculously average. In such a pretty restaurant, you should also put more attention into the food you serve. I had banana pancakes. You also have a picture of banana pancakes on your website that look completely different. After asking the waitress why my pancakes look so differently, she said that you don't serve pancakes like this or at least not anymore. Well, update your website then. I would love to come back, but it is seriously not worth to come back to a restaurant just for it's decor.

Average at best. You're definitely going for the decor. I've been here several times as was near to my previous work and I can say I've never had anything wow. Brunch portions are small and lacking flavour (eggs benedict). When I went for lunch the fish had too many bones in and the cocktails were like pub cocktails! The service is also somewhat mediocre. I gave it three rather than anything lower as it's not terrible, just a place that's all style over substance.

I am unsure how I found this place or how I hadn’t found it sooner but what a find it is. Cocktails were good and a solid selection of non-alcoholic choices too. Food was really tasty and portions were pretty reasonable. All the staff were very friendly.
Once when my girlfriend and I were having dinner here, a drunk lady felt the need to shout at one of the waitresses, and then the manager for quite a while. I have no idea how they remained so calm; Highly commendable. They were very apologetic about the whole incident and gave a discount. Brilliant attitude and service.

B&H Café stands out for its beautiful setting, the quirky retro style and decorations with plants. All the dishes we ordered were mediocre, took a long time to arrive, and were lukewarm rather than hot. The coffee was rather disappointing as well. Service was mixed: some staff are very welcoming, for others its clearly just a job. Wouldn't go back for the food, but would consider going back for the space.

5 of us went for lunch to celebrate my son's birthday, lovely atmosphere, food was quite good, all had a jolly time, spent the best part of £200. My sons girlfriend has baked a birthday cake but when she's asked for a knife and plates she was told she would have to pay a further £20 or buy desserts so we left and went for drinks in a nearby pub where they were happy to oblige free of charge. Very disappointing poor customer relations and their loss as we would've had cocktails with our cake!!

Loved this place! I came for the bottomless brunch last week and it was great. Beautiful venue, attentive staff without being pushy, great food and good prices.
We went for the bottomless sparkling Kombucha rather than the prosecco, which is totally refreshing! So nice to have a non alcoholic version that doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re missing out.
Will definitely visit again, and keen to check out the other venue in the City!

I just came back from there.
Firstly the place was nice it was chilled with comfortable furniture and nice decor.
At the door you will see a rack of coats they hang for customers.
When it came to my friend and I they did not offer.
I asked if I could sit outside and the lady said she will go and check but she never came back I had to ask someone else.
Already I felt uncomfortable and mistreated compare to the other customers.
Service was very half hearted.
I ordered the vegetarian breakfast the toast tasted like it has been toasted a while ago and left cold, the hash brown was burnt and the banana pancake had potential but you can tell it was so half hearted as the food came so quick.
When my friend made a payment by card we split the bill some in cash and some on card the lady did not confirm how much she was taking out before taking the card to use contact less.
Place was nice, food was below average and service was half hearted and we definitely felt like we were treated unfairly compare to the rest. It's a shame.

Came here with my friends for a Sunday brunch. The place is just lovely with all those plants and very cool decor. I had the vegetarian full breakfast and a dessert, the food was nice but not exeptional. We had one main each, a dessert, a bottle of wine and coffees, we spent £30pp (3 of us), average price.The atmosphere is very nice and the service kind and smooth. The neigborhood is also lovely for a walk after meal. I would suggest a bit more effort on the food, because otherwise the place is just perfect!

Genuinely terrible food. Friends drinking on the bottomless offer were quite happy -- perhaps if I were as drunk as they were (coffee only) and hadn't wanted to eat actual food, I wouldn't have been as offended.
Ordered dish for brunch following our waitress's recommendation (braised beef or something). There was almost no beef on the plate, which had a ratio of 95% potato/4%pink sauce slop/1% beef and flavourless greens. The beef in the dish looked like some remainder from the night before that they just wanted to get rid of.
Wasn't asked about the meal until I went to pay, at which time I explained the state of things and was told it all depends on who is in the kitchen. Paid 9.50 for a bowl of potatoes, received a sympathetic apology and no discount. I'm more mad at myself for not complaining immediately - hunger trumped consumer justice.
Won't return and will advocate amongst friends to seek alternatives.

Had a wonderful time at B&H buildings. Brunch was indeed bottomless, and there was a steady stream of drinks flowing to our table, even before our old ones were empty. The food was delicious too; I had the best cooked vegetarian breakfast of my life.

Interior was beautiful, service was decent, food was poor. Portions were small, several items unavailable by 2.30pm (had the brunch menu so perhaps to be expected at this time of day). Baked avocados for £9 only came with 5 soldiers of toast, very small pieces, and the cress and salsa just seemed a bit random. Cocktails were pretty basic again at £9 a pop. Place had a great atmosphere and the staff were fine but overall not an experience to shout home about.
