Awful you ring at 8am can't get through took 84 times to finally get through then when you do there is no appointments! Doctors are useless think they know how you feel then advise you to go somewhere else!! Constantly changing your doctor they never stick to one doctor so you have to repeat yourself over and over again Shocking place wouldn't advise anyone to go here !!!!

Very slow service. I have been going for 1.5 years for one disease but still they are not able to get me a sergeon at Hospital. Hospital is waiting for expedite letter and GP is saying they have written the letter but Hospital has not received. When Hospital has asked me to request a call from East Leicester Medical Practice, they are saying that they will do it today, today .. bla bla.. it's been a week and no one has solved or got time to make a call ???? Very bad service.

Were going to die anyway. These doctors are only a short term solution for our pathetic short term existence. Going back and forth on some of the critics on this reviews page. You can afford botox. You can afford the vets for your expensive breeds of dog. But you threaten the practice with bad publicity when you could just as well seen a private GP since your throwing your cash on your ugly face. Jokers here. I think you need to get your heads checked first.

The experience of visiting is just ok, not up to the mark, I mean reception staff not really interested to understand your point of view or issue, always in rush and have ready made answer rather than giving a chance to customer to explain what's best option. However this place have free car parking which is great but make sure don't park in the reserved parking for doctors or you will be given a ticket fine. There is nothing much to say about this place it's just like another GP place a average or below average customer service place.

True its difficult to get appts, the same everywhere, but i have needed a lot of appt,s in the last year and have been very happy with my care by all i have seen, the reception staff are friendly and helpful, do yors have been very good,and the pharmasist there is very helpful. Iam very happy with elmp.

Never thought I would give 5 starts but for service today I can not complain. Rang the surgery at 8.0 was told 8th in the cue - thought i would be waiting for ages but was less than a minute the receptionist was really helpful got an appointment - admittedly this is rare and was seen by the doctor on time who was great - Dr Adnan Abdulali really understanding, caring and helpful.

Rang for an appointment for was told there's non available, I was 9th in queue at 8.10am. phone answered at 8.23. When I rang at 8am I was unable to get through. Not sure if they offer more that a dozen appointments at the surgery. The appointment was for a 6 year old child.

Called for a phone consultation was told none available till September. When I questioned this saying that a friend of mine had called the day before and was offered a phone call or appointment I was told that a few are issued in the morning only my friend had called very late afternoon the receptionist had nothing to say about this. She then suggested that I get an online password so I could make my own appointment saying this would save time in the morning instead of calling. She said to do this I would have to take photo ID to the surgery at 8am in the morning. I don’t see how going there getting a password then going home to make an online appointment would save me time from calling. I have ended up in hospital once because of this surgery. And it also took them almost 2 years to diagnose my PCOS. Don’t know why I stick with them. The service is a joke and the staff are rude and negligent. I work in care and if any one in my care was treated as such I would be fired. It will take someone to actually die before anything is done it’s disgusting.

Dr maula absolute horrific service seemed like she just wanted to do her job quickly so I can leave. Nothing was explained properly and after handing me the medication leaflet, she was typing away. Had to ask if it was okay to leave now. Didn't feel comfortable with her at all!

I am going to be totally honest and fair as I have had a few good visits due to the odd decent member of staff. Starting with the good, my Dr is excellent and does go the extra mile though I have the same appointment problems as everyone else on here. I once popped in to collect my script and there was a queue of 10 at the 1st window and nobody at the second. The receptionist was chatting so i asked if i could get my script as on way to work. She looked at me like something she'd trod in and said script is other window then walked away!! I made a complaint but nothing has obviously been done.

Firstly I rang up at 7.50 and the phones were engaged but carried on ringing till the phone was answered at 8.55 please don’t tell me your phones were busy for a hour because normally you wait in a queue till someone picks up but I was just getting the engaged tone for a hour. Secondly it’s ok saying you need to tell the receptionist what’s wrong but the lady I spoke to couldn’t care less,she was rude and abrupt plus she made me believe there were appointments available but then in a smug tone tell me there isn’t any for today.When I asked for a call back she rudely said not today and that I should go to the A&E if I wasn’t feeling well. I’m all my time I have been at this doctors I have been treated bad but this beats all the previous time.I think it’s time you stop changing your receptionist and focus on customer service and try and make people at ease because right now I’m feeling like we are not cared for by Uppingham Road Medical Centre.Its one of the worse doctors surgery in Leicester if not the worse. I will be making appointment to speak with the Leicester Mercury to voice my issue because I think keeping Uppingham Road Medical Centre open is waiting for someone to get seriously poorly and being ignored in the process. The surgery isn’t run properly and it’s time to either change and listen to your complaints and patient or close and let your patients get better care else where.I would say I’m more than happy to sit down and talk to the people incharge to see where we can improve the surgery.

No stars from me. Absolutely useless and you cannot get an appointment no matter when you call them. The Pharmacist at Boots told me I desperately need an appointment but, can I get an appointment? Can I hell. I could be dead for all they care. I am so angry and there is no point complaining as I've put in three complaints over the last 2 years and nothing at all has changed, in fact, it has gotten worse. They are absolutely bloody useless

I wish there was an option to give no stars. The practice is a joke - in every sense of the word. GP appointments are next to none existent (unless you want to wait 7 WEEKS... Yes, 7 WEEKS was the earliest they could offer me). The receptionists are rude and clueless... I'll be transferring out of this practice. Useless & puts the NHS service to shame. I'm struggling to understand how we justify the taxes we pay for this level of uselessness & the extent to which we allow it to continue. You are compromising people's health & well being, which you've no right to do.

Medical staff such as the doctors and nurses are fantastic but they do suffer a really bad rush in the mornings and can get overwhelmed quite easily. Alot of people complaining about the service on here need to understand that this is a free service in this country and to appreciate any little help that they do get. In any other country no one would even give you a second glance without coughing up some cash.

ZERO STARS!!! What a horrendous GP surgery, full of rude staff and non-existent appointments!! Might as well shut down as they never offer any appointments. Been with this surgery for many years, it has gone downhill, Dr longsworth is possibly the best doctor there but getting an appointment with him is difficult as he's so popular. You have to ring at 8am to book an appointment, you will be lucky to get an appointment on the day as 9 times out 10 you will be told there's no more appointments. Some doctors are lazy, my partner went in with pain to the breast but the doctors diagnosis was to keep checking yourself even though she was complaining that she was in pain every time the doctor touched her.

If you’re lucky enough to get through at 8am , you will sure as hell get hung up on before getting an appointment booked. Ring back and appointments are gone. When you explain that they conveniently hung up on you they tell you to calm down. When you threaten to go to the papers they miraculously find an appointment. 2 weeks later you get a letter from the idiot of a practise manager stating that you have a formal warning for abusive behaviour - and that you will be removed from their list of it ever happens again... What? Since when did expressing upset at a public service become “abusive”. Don’t use this surgery all the receptionists are clueless and liars. Shoddy service and should be shut down! I’ve left ! This is the worst gp surgery i have ever been to. My daughter had pain in her mouth for days and i clearly told the doctor she has a massive ulcer on her tongue and all i was told was to apply bonjela and that was by phone. Wouldnt give her an appointment to actually diagonose her. Took her to boots pharmacy where a pharmacist seen her and said she needs to be seen asap as she has a bad infection. I called the GP back asking for her to be seen and they were not willing to see, and said i have to call 111 if you feel it is an emergency. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Staff have no compassion whatsoever. You can never get an appointment, litertally have to be dying to be seen and thats if u are lucky.

Odered a repeat prescription one week Earlier and never received it, Dont put it in there box make sure you get it put on there computer, and aks them to repeat what you ask for, other wise, you may never get it .If you can go to another surgery do so .This is a very poor surgery,they are completely swamped with patients, and it’s creaking at the seams

The practice is very difficult to deal with. You can never get hold of them on the phone. The automated switchboard has you going round in circles. When you do get an answer, the attitude is very negative. The nurses and doctors are brilliant once you get to them but that's so hard to do. I am moving away from there when I can.

The most unprofessional disgrascefull service. I am having a nurvace breakdown form the experience. You can't get an appointment for a month, for a doctor to call you back it's a week wait to get the call back. After waiting a week and speaking to a doctor on the phone your issued prescription which even after 8 days haven't reached your pharmacy. When you call to see what's happening with your prescription you lied to and only have to keep ringing back. Shame on you ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Nurse B Kaur was absolutely horrendous she obviously couldn't wait to get rid of me this evening looking like i was her last patient of the day. She didn't even bother to check me properly just looked in my ears and let me leave.. even though i explained to the doctor earlier how i hadn't slept all night had the chills with joint aches and really bad headache with dizziness. Confronted her about her lack of observations and checks in which she said she'd just get someone else to check me then. Absolute disgrace, no care towards me at all, East Leicester Medical Practice use to be such a great practice were you actually could build a rapport with you carer now your just a number with staff who cant be bothered and dont even check your medical history, or you have to go see these so called 'specialist nurses' 5 times to resolve one problem. Had enough.

Worse doctors in Leicester! You can never get a doctors appointment on the day. Instead they tell you to go to a walk in centre or private doctors for injections. Never have prescriptions ready on the date they give you. All the receptionist tell you different things. Spent 40mins waiting for doctors appointment then 45mins with the doctor, doctor asking me what medication they think I should be on, and sending msgs to other doctors for help on what to prescribe or what the issue is. Worse service you can ever get from all the staff. Nurses can't tell you one simple piece of information either. Definitely don't recommend this doctors practice.

If your feeling sick don't bother - waste of time, never any appoints - always a 1- 2 month wait - pointless surgery. And don't expect to get through on the phone on your first try! If you wait for at GP to call back it's often a rude nurse whose not qualified to deal with your problem. (Also beware if the surgery is open till 6.30pm - they switch off their computers at 6.00pm - no point in remaining open really!!!)

Got more chance of winning the lottery than getting an appointment here. Been with this surgery since I was a child, but over the last few years this surgery has gone downhill. Don’t bother try ringing at 8am for an appointment; because you either won’t get through or be told you can have an appointment for the following week. Lost a day’s paid work trying to get an appointment. Avoid disappointment and try a different medical centre.

NHS service does not deserve any rating at all, I am forced to give even 1 star which East Leicester Medical Practice do not deserve. They really need to improve their services, nhs is going downhill. Get rid of staff, nurses and hire robots instead. All I get everyday when I ring up in the morning is 'we don't have any appointments, try again 2mrw morning' I am ill and I have to wait 2 months for an appointment, by that time i'll either get better myself or die. Also, if i don't get any appointments and get a call back I would really appreciate if a doctor would ring back instead of a training nurse or receptionist because I need proper, professional advice not from someone who is rude, talks over you and who repeats there is no doctor available for today, try again 2mrw morning. It is really pointless and very bad service.

Terrible surgery. I recently had a bad accident and suffered head trauma as well as other injuries. I have been trying for four days to get an appointment, ring them up and every single time it's my turn to be answered the phone line goes dead! When you go down to try to talk to someone they tell you to ring later, I bloody well would if they answered the phones.

Worse surgery the you can’t even get an appointment I really needed to see a doctor was feeling unwell to the point I could not walk I told this to the person who thinks they are god on the phone who told me that i didn’t need an appointment to go to the hub I couldn’t even walk turns out my gallbladder was leaking and I ended up in hospital over it this doctor puts peoples life’s at risk and they don’t care it’s not the first time I’ve ended up in hospital cause of the neglect from this doctors
