I would highly recommend people to change doctors. This is the worst doctora surgery I have come a cross. Few new doctors are great like doctor pandaya. Doctor adeel great But doctor kumar is the worst you have to do his job for him . Very unprofessional. The receptionist are noisy and rude there is not much humanity left in them. Lastly the good doctors keep leaving.

This place should shut down for good. By far the worst GP in UK. Rude staff, google doctors, unprofessional staff and drs. They don't seem to respond when you try to talk to them normally. It seems you need to give them stick otherwise you will be ignored.

So far, I’ve had a good experience at this surgery. The registration process was straight forward and my repeat medication was added to my record quickly and efficiently. I was able to promptly book in for a smear test during the pandemic and the nurse Saleha was fantastic and very friendly. I felt safe at the surgery and they were clearly following the social distancing protocols. Patients complaining about the lack of appointments available need to understand that each surgery has thousands of patients and a finite number of appointments, this is the case across the board in every GP surgery in the NHS. The staff have worked tirelessly through the pandemic and do not deserve some of the negative comments on here. Thank you to the team at Hilltop surgery for your hard work during the pandemic.

The surgery has two google listing, so I am posting my comment here as well. “The worst surgery in England. You never get any appointments to see a doctor. Waiting time is at least 3/4 weeks. Basically you have to beg for an appointment. If you live in Hamilton, only GOD can save you. “

Called in complaining of stomach problems, was given a call back by a GP, who told me to take Gaviscon (that was the whole of the 'phone consultation'). Tried that, didn't help. Today I called back in for another phone consultation, and was told by Secretary that 'phone consultations' had to be booked at 8AM in the morning in order to get a slot. The only alternative I was provided was to call 111 - I'd recommend everyone find a new GP.

Receptionist forcing an elderly lady who stated she is exempt on multiple occasions stated she uses oxygen at night on multiple occasions to wear a mask or she has to wait outside in the pouring down rain and cant see a dr. I am furious at what I've just witnessed. Partronising her telling her to 'just come on, it's not for long' despicable behaviour and extremely rude lady. Wants sacking!! Absolutely disgusting and such a rude lady!! @johnsonsmedicalpractice @hiltopsurgery

Being NHS of course we have to wait, that's a given. But once in, the service is warm and friendly. Polite staff. When you see on reception the electronic board that an incredible no of person's didn't even call in to say they couldn't make it, I see that as a real waste of resources. My only critique is that on the whole I mainly see a new GP every session. So it's a case of reading through the files and it feels vague. A lack of continuity. Overall. A great service. A good prepared report too.

DISGRACEFUL....not surprised in the slightest about the 1 star.Calling from 8am in the morning inbetween trying to get 2 children ready for school and a baby to feed, constantly engaged then when you do get through surprise, surprise all the appointments have gone! Receptionist advice come into the surgery at 8 yep ok with 3 children to dress and feed.also if you ever do get a appointment you wont be informed if it's with the nurse practitioner who clearly cannot deal with certain problems.as a working mother with children I do not have the time to spend my mornings on the phone trying to get through to be told no appointments available.there needs to be booking appointments.the system is truly awful

Reception staff are actually quite nice. Of course they have a ton to do so they can't always deal with people's problems right away. Front receptionists always very kind. Nice big surgery. Good doctors who care about patients.

This has been my GP my entire life, they are despicable and ignorant I had a chest infection and they misdiagnosed me as asthmatic (which is still on my record) when they finally gave me antibiotics to sort the infection I had an allergic reaction (which was never put on my record) so now everyone that needs to see my record see's that I'm asthmatic and don't know I'm allergic to the antibiotics. This is completely unexceptable no matter how many doctors I see or tell that they have it wrong they don't want to hear it. This is MY health on the line.

Awful service struggle to make appointments ... when you turn up ten minutes early for your appointment you still wait for thirty minutes past your appointment slot. The turn over of doctors is incredibly high my kids have never had the same doctor twice.

The doctors don't want to see that anything is actually wrong with you. I've been suffering with dizziness for 2 years and they put it down to my low blood pressure or blood sugar (which is actually fine). I went to the walk in centre and 5 minutes after walking in I had a prescription and was told to see my doctor after they had ran out. The multiple times I have had appointments at this surgery, the doctors have all seemed like they are on a tight schedule where I need to be in and out in about 3 minutes. I don't think I have ever been there longer than that and I've always felt as if they didn't look into what was wrong (or did the basics, blood pressure) just to then blame it on that or send me for a blood test and push me out the door. As for the receptionists! Baring in mind the first person you see when you walk in is a female receptionist behind the glass with a face liked a slapped backside. If you don't want to be there and don't like interacting with people don't do a customer service role, there are many people who would jump at the chance to work there. I have had the phone put down on me numerous times and been spoken to like an idiot nearly all of them. There is a male receptionist who is easy to talk to, you don't feel like you are being judged or looked down on and you feel like you are being treated equally. And I know this is more the patients fault than the doctors but the amount of times I have sat and waited with a maximum of 5 people I wonder why the hell I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment! Upside is the nurses are very nice, cheerful and easy to get on with. I don't go well with needles so they have always put me at ease when having my blood tests. Overall, I think the doctors is a disappointment. I would much rather go to the walk in clinic and wait 1-2 hours to see a doctor as I know that he will actually listen to me.

I am 26 weeks pregnant and went to surgery to register. I had all the relevant paperwork, however when handed them in I was turned down and told that they don't copy any paperwork. I was upset and confused as I booked time off work to get myself registered and be able to book much needed appointment. Keep in mind as I don't have a car there was nowhere to copy and I had to leave. Now im back to square 1. If you ever go to register make sure you have all the paperwork copied prior as the surgery will not do it for you.

Went in today and the girl at reception was the rudest person I have ever met in my life. I wanted to register with them and Instead of telling me that I couldn't politely and the reasons why. She doesn't make eye contact with me, is fiddling with prescription papers and rudely asks where I'm coming from (Manchester btw) and how she can't help. I have never felt so insulted. All she had to do was look at me, acknowledge me and answer my questions. There was no need for her behaviour and for a nurse as Well? What ever happened to duty of care and compassion? Despicable. You won't catch me back there ever again. Even if I'm dying I'll go to A&E thanks.

Rang in for an appointment with the female dr to be asked what was wrong with me, I stated I wish to discuss that with the dr (receptionists are not privvy to my personal situation) can I have an appointment with her to be told she was not the last dr you seen when I know very well she was!!! I had to go through a 5 minute bloody argument with the receptionist who insinuated I was a liar just to get an appointment..... unbelieveable, I had been passed from dr to dr having to explain my symptoms over and over again wgen I got dr Jones she said to me book with me next time then you won't have to keep doing that just to put up with this farce from the receptionist! I have batteries of tests done and still no answers what if it is sometging serious?? I cannot be treated so flippantly! The dr's are ok but some of the reception staff are ridiculous not to mention waiting 15mins for the phone to be answered (it told me I was first in line) Get some telephone receptionists and teach some of your current ones not to be so nosy or rude!!!!!

Terrible surgery, tried to make an appointment for a week now with a doctor, NOT A CHANCE!!! Staff- very rude!!! No appointments available- what’s the point of having a GP! Unacceptable service! Doctors don’t want to see patients/don’t want to speak to patients!!!! Avoid this place. As you can see rest of the reviews.

The last few years we have been coming to this surgery you always have to wait at least 30 mins past your appointment time to be seen. If you come 10 mins late they would ask you to rebook but they always on average see you 30 mins or so after you arrive on time for your appointment. It is disgraceful and the fact that it has been like this for years sums up the way this surgery is managed and run. The NHS need to look into to this place urgently

Very bad experience from today's visit. My appointment was 10.40 amd they called me 11.55! Every visit there finishing with 1h delay! Unacceptable! On the top of that unskilled nurses who speaking bad English and rude staff on the reception! To make appointment there is nearly like moon mission as they do prioritise Muslims and Indian patients. One lady fainted on the waiting room and they didn't provide wheelchair just carried her on the armchair!

Unacceptable service! Receptionist with rude attitude and unhelpful over the phone. When we ask for appointment we get told to see the chemist instead of a doctor! despite the patient needed medical attention which requires professional doctor. Also hilltop surgery GP did not provide prescription for under age patient who was eligible. Poorly organised practice with many negative reviews by others on NHS website! This surgery needs urgent review by an independent complaints bureau.

Most useless gp surgery ever, receptionists are no help, can't never get an appointment, repeat prescriptions are always wrong, iv never seen my own gp iv only ever saw a selection of random doctors from around the world, too many patients for an estate surgery, The NHS is a mess, taking in too many people from different countries, when people who are born here struggle getting appointments and medications, useless.
