I’ve had a really pleasant experience at this surgery so far and would recommend them. The reception staff have always been very polite and helpful. The doctors and nurses I’ve been in touch with so far have been lovely too and I felt very safe attending for my smear test in person during the pandemic. I’ve had no issues booking a routine call back for non urgent problems. I think those complaining about being unable to book an appointment due to finite slots will find that this is the case across the NHS in all surgeries and might find it more productive to write to their MP than complain about a surgery trying their best during a pandemic. Thank you for your hard work.

I joined this surgery, after having horrific experience of nearly loosing my life, with my last surgery - Highfeilds Medical Centre. I have a very complexed medical history & I joined beginning of the pandemic. The receptionists are the face of the surgery & I have to point out a specific receptionist named - Annie whom is fantastic. She’s professional & caring, not once has she been rude, snappy, unprofessional & is always happy to help. You can tell she’s truly passionate about her job & cares about the patient’s. I haven’t had the chance to meet any of the doctors face to face yet, due to the pandemic. However I have spoken to a few, many times now & they are ever so helpful. They listen, don’t fob you off & the level of care is consistent. Every doctor I have spoken to Male or Female, actually listen & don’t cut you off mid conversation. I’am truly shocked to see this surgery is not rated higher. As I when I speak to the doctors here, it is just as if I’am speaking to my private consultants at Spire or Nuffeild hospital. I couldn’t be any happier. I’ve moved my elderly mum over & my children. This surgery definitely deserve recognition for the level of care. If your looking for a surgery, I highly recommend this surgery. Like I said, I have a very complexed medical history & these doctor’s really do care about their patient’s. You will not regret it. I wish I had moved surgery, when Johnson’s medical centre had opened, as we know I wouldn’t of been neglected & wouldn’t of been classed now a critical patient, after all the negligence of - Highfeilds Medical Centre & their sister surgery Belgrave Medical Centre. My family & I are very thankful to all the staff at Johnson’s Medical Centre & I look forward to meeting the doctors & receptionists in person, when it is safe again.

As a patient I am not happy when I phone up I feel the receptionist(s) can be quite rude. Understandable they are busy but sometimes you can be mid-sentence and you get rudely interrupted when you are trying to explain your issue and they make assumptions. Retraining is definitely needed for the staff. I had no issues with doctors and nurses... just the reception staff that are quite rude.

Wow, they're listed on google twice! So, I'll put my complaint again. Called in complaining of stomach problems, was given a call back by a GP, who told me to take Gaviscon (that was the whole of the 'phone consultation'). Tried that, didn't help. Today I called back in for another phone consultation, and was told by Secretary that 'phone consultations' had to be booked at 8AM in the morning in order to get a slot. The only alternative I was provided was to call 111 - I'd recommend everyone find a new GP.

The worst surgery in England. You never get any appointments to see a doctor. Waiting time is at least 3/4 weeks. Basically you have to beg for an appointment. If you live in Hamilton, only GOD can save you.

Absolutely shambles of a surgery. Especially the doctors. They defo need questioning or investigating why the public are saying the same thing and reviews appalling. So many people cant be wrong.

DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS GP. Mumtaz was very rude and incompetent in listening. Incredibly rude and as the reviews below suggest, they simply do not want to listen. Constantly talking over you and trying to finish your sentences. Lacking in both customer service and communication skills! It would be advisable to join a GP that can train staff than wasting time.

It’s like the staff just don’t want to listen to you, so hard to arrange an appointment, even to request for a GP to call you, visited the practice again to pick up a sick note today as if been in last week to request for one on Monday, 1 week later they still have no sick note for me and now can not be found, I’m getting the receptionist asking me if it’s been picked up?, no it’s not! That’s why I’m standing here, now having to sit and wait

Rang in for an appointment with the female dr to be asked what was wrong with me, I stated I wish to discuss that with the dr (receptionists are not privvy to my personal situation) can I have an appointment with her to be told she was not the last dr you seen when I know very well she was!!! I had to go through a 5 minute bloody argument with the receptionist who insinuated I was a liar just to get an appointment..... unbelieveable, I had been passed from dr to dr having to explain my symptoms over and over again when I got dr Jones she said to me book with me next time then you won't have to keep doing that just to put up with this farce from the receptionist! I have had numerous batteries of tests done and still no answers what if it is something serious?? I cannot be treated so flippantly! The dr's are ok but some of the reception staff are ridiculous not to mention waiting 15mins for the phone to be answered (it told me I was first in line) Get some telephone receptionists and teach some of your current ones not to be so nosy or rude!!!!! *Edit 25/4/19 Rang in today for a repeat prescription, receptionist told me they never do this.... absolute tosh. I have rang in for a repeat prescription several times over the years and it has never been a problem before this surgery is turning into an absolute joke never have I ever seen such a shambles. It is getting so bad here that after 10 years as a patient I am looking for another surgery because the whole establishment is run like a second rate circus! Most of the receptionists are absolute idiots who do not know what they are doing and speak to people with appalling manners I have a good mind to report this place to the health authorities. Time after time they fob you off I have seen the surgery sitting empty when they claim they have full appointments! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Being told by the doctors that me having type 1 diabetes doesn’t need insulin and further saying my insulin and diabetic kit can not be funded...absolutely insulting! After many complaints, doctors finally realise that CALPOL can’t cure diabetes and “negotiate” to give me my insulin but in a lower dose as I might not need it. After another complaint, I get my own diabetes kit (self funded) and half the kit I need to survive. The chemist helps me with this. Rude staff, doctors always rush appointments and take no care in your health and well-being. If you wish to live your life, look elsewhere. Believe me from experience. *If I had the option to take away stars, I would, however it’s a 1 star from me.*
