What a wonderful experience. Lovely service (even though it took quite some time to get our order taken) but it was worth it. We paid 34£ for afternoon tea. It was plenty of food for two. My fiance and I didn't finish it all because it was a lot. Tasty desserts. There is a desserts version of afternoon tea for 21£ without the sandwiches. (So make sure not to get the two confused) Everyone here is fairly well dressed. Business casual.

My mother and I always like to try new places out for afternoon tea. Our visit started poorly when the restaurant had lost our reservation. Thankfully my mother brought a paper copy and they seated us. The staff were very rude and cold, nothing like any other restaurants we had been to in London. The afternoon tea was adequate. It was nice enough but nothing out of this world. Overall, I would not return to this branch, but have since tried the Piccadilly Circus one and the staff were much friendlier.

Nice place for afternoon tea. Feels a cut above the competition and you pay a bit more for that. But a great location, excellent service - and good tea!

We ordered 2 full English breakfasts and they were barely warm I sent mine back twice as the second one was no better than the first one we were not charged for my breakfast as I did not eat it we paid £9.95 for the breakfast that was eaten. I reflected on the price l thought the menu price was£8.95 when we got outside the menu in the window stated £7.95 then the board in the street advertised a full English at £6.95. So a restaurant that tempts tourists with a very reasonable price only to charge an additional £3.00 & not only that it's not even hot when you get it. I agree with other comments regarding the staff. Service was dismissive bordering on rude. Not somewhere I would recommend or go back to.

Loved our afternoon tea here. Omar was a very attentive server and the food was delicious. We don’t normally eat everything on our plate but we cleared everything! Would highly recommend.

I booked an afternoon tea at this venue yesterday afternoon. The premises, in terms of decoration and cleanliness, where very good and at the standards of Piccadilly where they reside. Sadly, I had the impression to be treated differently because I used a voucher. Not all the members of the staff that approach my table where as polite and professionals as you would expect in a fine restaurant. It would be appreciated if you allow some time for your clients to greet eachother and offer a polite and detailed orientation/introduction to the menu. The greatest disappointment that lead me to leave you this score was the food. It wasn't fresh. This is no good marketing and, personally, I would not be back to this Caffe Restaurant. I wish this feedback helps to remind you that people buying vouchers (if that's the reason for the way I felt) are no less than others clients. Fortunately, the lovely background music and the tenuous lighting from the beautiful ceiling lamps helped to smooth the evening.

I enjoy this place for a quick meal, so far I've had the lamb and the steak, both were good, with good, unfussy service. It has a nice layout, and staff are relaxed but polite.

The atmosphere is lovely, in the heart of London and great for date night. The customer service is hit and miss, food is decent but chicken breast can be dry but overall a good option for lunch time. I prefer the chicken club sandwich ????

I went there to buy a take away birthday cake. Bad customer service. The cakes are great, and you can find the same brand in Sainsbury supermarket , where they don't have grumpy faces telling you to go back and stand by the door.

Friendly, helpful service. Food was very well presented and tasty. It was extremely busy at mid morning and this needs to be taken into consideration if you have limited time. The atmosphere was relaxed and surroundings comfortable. It is somewhere I always go to when in London, even if it is only for their excellent coffee and cakes.

Very very low quality food. This place was good at some point, but is going down and down. I wonder given the low quality, why they've increased the prices...

Great place we always walked past and hesitated because their cakes were not we usually like but we decided to give it a try for the food. We has the table by window which we loved and the croque madame was amazing! Coffe was very good also i guess they are cleaning really well the espresso machine :) Not to mention out waiter Zenur was so welcoming and smiling. I kept watching him he was the only one smiling even when he was putting the orders through the till. That is what us customers want to see well done!

Dropped in for a quick coffee and enjoyed lovely, frothy soya lattes and amazing vegan pistachio cake. Great atmosphere, gorgeous decor and welcoming staff.

surprisingly nice environment for breakfast given its in a tourist spot. pretty silverware and little extras like that make it a cut above a typical breakfast place. Food is as expected for a generic chain, not disappointing but not great. Reasonably priced especially for the location. I'd go again. Gets busy at lunch though so would likely only go for breakfast.

The place is really low quality in terms of food. The cakes and coffee aren't great, especially when compared to the price. This visit I had tiramisu and a latte. The tiramisu (£5.85) was below average. The ladyfingers were completely dry, and the cream was almost pudding like in density and texture. There's no coffee taste at all, and it just tastes like a very average -but dry- vanilla cake. It was also served with jam from another cake smeared on the non-wrapped side. This doesn't change the taste at all, and is just because of the way everything is displayed in the case, but it just adds to the disappointment of the experience. The latte (£4.35) was decent. It wasn't bitter or sweet in any way... It tastes very watery. Drinkable, but nothing special at all. All in all, the coffee and cakes are edible. But for the price points they are at, it's not worth the time or money. The location is good, so you're paying a premium for that, but there are many really good restaurants and cafes in the area for much cheaper. The only reason I would recommend coming here is to sit in the outdoor area and enjoy the weather when it's nice out if you're in the area. But then again, you can do that at many decent places.

The first impression was really promising, a nice atmosphere and breakfast in a decent price range. But the full English breakfast is not the best one I have had. It was quite average but did not live up to the atmosphere in the café. The coffee is a different story. I had a double espresso. Smooth and with notes of hazelnut, I think it was a dark roasted coffee, therefore it was surprising that it was not too acidic. The service did not live up to expectations. All In all I was a bit disappointed with the whole experience.

Rude waitor. We went inside to meet our friends and they didn't let us talk to them because we weren't staying to order sth. I kindly asked him to give us 2minutes just to talk (the caffe was our meeting point since our friends were already there and it was freezing cold outside) and we had 2 kids in strollers with us but the waitor suggested we left since we were not ordering. They did not let us speak to each other! They only see you as money. I don't know how the cakes taste but the attitude tastes realy bad.

If you want to get stressed just to have a coffee,go to this place!!! First we arrive and took 25 minutes waiting for one of us to get up and go with menus to ask ttheva waitress to take the order, after we wait another 30 minutes for coffee, the cakes ordered never arrived, after yet another 30 minutes we just wanted the bill,of course it took another 15 minutes,no apologies just a snobbish grunts towards us, really an horrible service, the staff, from the waiters to manager completely ignored the customers and they were just chatting between themselves.

The day of the soup was really good! I only wished they had more vegan options for the desserts and maybe write down which dessert is alcohol and gelatin free on the menu.

my friend and i went for dessert and coffee at this restaurant 2 days ago. I have to say we will not be returning, We were served by a very obnoxious male waiter who brought us the wrong dessert and then through his hands up in the air and complained in his native language to his colleague when we asked him to bring the correct cake. I guess the name of this restaurant is well suited as He acted as if he was doing us a GRAND favor serving us the cake and tea we ordered. Th pistachio cake was terrible and the service worse. Highly recommend NOT to go.

Delicate and romantic place. Blessed hideaway from the crowds of Piccadilly and everyday routine. The food is simple Mediterranean with cosmopolitan twist. The salads are particularly appetizing; the rice balls with wild mushrooms are exquisite. Do ask for advice if the choice is too wide though. We were served by Dara and his gorgeous partner and got pleased with all the choices. As a bonus we were given few takeaway pastries (as they don't keep them overnight, I suppose). For the best seat - ask for the sofa by the window or one behind the cherry blossom for extra privacy...

Mussels marinere were well prepared, black spaghetti alla pascatore and bolognese were good. Excellent service and attention to detail, - Cynthia spotted my child had dropped her piece of bread and promptly served us another 2 pieces of warm bread. Best of all, one of the male service staff made my child's day when she saw her gazing at the desserts and gave her a macaron on the house! Will be back again.
