We visited here as treat while we were in London we were very impressed with the service and food. All the staff were friendly and helpful they explained how the small plate dining experience worked and made some suggestions on dishes which was nice.
The food was all very tasty apart from one of the pizzas being very overcooked and dry but the seafood and pasta was amazing. We ordered 3 dishes each and that was enough for us for lunch but would recommend a little more if visiting for dinner.
We will definitely look at returning when we are in London again and look to visit some of the sister San Carlo restaurants around the country in the future.

Amazing restaurant, not cheap but worth the money. You choose several smaller dishes to share and they were all so nice. There is so much choice , meat, fish, pasta, vegetarian that you will find something to suit everyone. Fumo has put perspex screens between the tables, have track and trace in place so have done all they can regarding COVID. Great choice of wines and their glasses are beautiful. We cannot wait to return.

Delicious! Went with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We were looking for a place with a few truffle dish options and this was perfect. The ravioli were our favorite. Service was great as well. Definitely make reservations!

The food was quite good though the tempura prawns had barely any meat. They are covid secure but be warned they have put screens between each table so the whole restaurant is still full and feels very packed and tight and loud with the screens in between every table. We booked in advance and had been looking forward to going but were given a table in a back tight corner, had to squeeze in. Not great ambiance.

Overrated food. Great service but the food was terrible. Wouldn't visit again. Do not order pizza. Got a peice of bread with cheese on top. Disgusting food. Aubergine was nice though. Enter with caution...

Good atmosphere, but in the plates there are no food. Literally - no food. I ordered a salad, a glass of champagne, and pasta with clams. They gave me unripe tomatoes in my salad. The tomato were green. I refused to eat them. I didn’t want my stomach was sick after that. They replaced them for red, cherry tomatoes which was nice of them. After that I received my pasta, and literally there were ONLY two spoons of pasta. It was delicious, but it definitely was a super small plate that I would have needed three of them to fulfill myself. I was so hungry, and I spent 35 pounds in their restaurant and remained hungry. I went to another restaurant to eat more food. I will not come back for dinner there. They should not put green tomatoes to customers dishes, and they should provide bigger portions for the price they charge.

Nice place, attentive staff, great food. We tried several different dishes, they are small portions, meant to be shared. They were all very good, but the one that surprised me the most was the "pumpkin risotto". We decided to try it because it was in the specials menu and my husband loves risotto, it turned out to be one of the tastiest we ever had.

I love this restaurant! They offer marvelous dishes, their menu is nice, The cook in that place is a specialist, I enjoy very much trying all their food. The dishes are consistently fresh and tasty, the service towards the visitors is efficient. I visit often this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. Highly recommended.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful.
However if you like to eat a proper meal this place is not for you, no starter or main dishes, they serve tapas type small dishes. They also bring out whatever is ready.
We were a group of 18 people we were not able to share as they suggested. And some of us had to wait for nearly 1 hour for their food.

Surprisingly good Italian restaurant in the middle of the West End. Clientele appeared to be half locals half tourists. Bookings absolutely necessary. While many dishes are too big to be authentic cicchetti, but they were cooked well and cheap by London standards. The half black leg chicken and the halibut fillet were both £11 only. Good for a boisterous evening; not exactly romantic.

Great atmosphere and taking all the COVID precautions to make you feel comfortable. Unfortunately the food and service was just not up to scratch. The bread was stale, the tuna very salty and not much flavour in any of the dishes. Service was quite cold and felt rushed. Plates were taken away before finishing. I have had lovely experiences here in the past but it just wasn’t how I remembered, such a shame.

Terrible service. Ordered starters and mains. Starters arrived immediately. Next up ravioli then a very very very long wait and the waiter brought us dessert menu. Completely forgot about pizza we ordered. After a further extremely long wait the pizza arrived and was burnt black on the bottom. Great pasta, fkd the pizza. Not sure we will rush back here tbh !!

Lovely place where they serve Cicchetti. There is a good section of fresh seafood and fresh home made pasta. The place is always busy and the service is very good. It is full of real Italians so there is a very authentic ambiance. It's a great place to go for lunch or dinner before or after the Theatre. Another thing I like is that the toilets are really clean and well presented.

Very cool restaurant. The concept is great as all the dishes are small so you have the opportunity to try many dishes. All the waiters are Italian and speak Italian so you really get that feeling of being in Italy. Highly recommend coming here for dinner if your in London, their truffle ravioli is a must!!!!

Early 2020 ... Fumo was amazing. Great cocktails, Old Fashioned, Cherry Star Martini, and Espresso Martinis. Had a lovely pizza as a sharer, eating at the bar. Staff were cheerful, and welcoming especially the lady making the cocktails. Grazie mille!

Lovely Italian restaurant but a little different to your usual restaurant. On arrival we had drinks and were then shown to our table. We were a group of 15. The waiter then came to explain how they work. All dishes are cooked fresh but you order a selection from the set menu or the main menu. However the waiter told us that the dishes come up as they are ready in no set order, they are placed in the middle of the table and you share. It's a strange way if serving your food and seems a little odd. However the food which we had was delicious and flavoursome just off that you eat each part of your meal seperately. They are small portions too so you may need to order extra. We ordered wine to accompany our meal which we found pricey but this is London so to be expected.
Overall we enjoyed our visit as the food was lovely as was the atmosphere, service generally good, although they forgot a salad dish which was served to a couple of our party at least half an hour after the rest of us had finished! Fir a different and unusual experience give Fumo a try.

But you mainly come to an Italian restaurant for Italian food, right?
Good things first, service was prompt and responsive. They got our booking wrong (2 instead of 3 people) and got us a table with olives on the house. When we complained the burnt skewer, the manager quickly changed it for us with no quibbles.
Sadly the food was very mediocre. The ingredients were poor in quality and not fresh. The dishes were bland and poorly made. The prawn on the skewer was clearly soaked in baking soda to make it plump and juicy but had no prawn taste. They burned the skewer completely the first time. It was charred. I couldn’t even poke my fork through the prawn. Zucchini fritti was soggy and greasy. Adding poor quality truffle to dishes doesn’t make them better. Our truffle ravioli was a creamy mess. The table next to us was complaining about salty pasta and soggy dessert too.
It’s really a shame cos they branded themselves as having Zilli’s endorsement and a “£2m worth interior”. Guess money can’t buy you good taste.

Really nice Italian. Very tasty. Cleaned out plates. Love the idea of Italian tapas. Dishes weren't sharable for more than 3 people though. Also, a little pricey. Could come down 50p-£1 on each plate. Cocktails were lush at £9ish. Make a reservation or you won't get in. Fully booked on a Tuesday night.

Four of us shared a delicious meal here. Good service even when very busy and the food was lovely, great choice and catered very well to vegitarians. We ordered 2-3 plates per person and everyone was satisfied and full at the end.

Tapas style menu, you may be surprised why the menu is so cheap for a fine dining experience - you are recommended to order 4-5 dishes for 2 persons. If you're on an average budget, don't get the £10 asparagus as you will be left wondering for a second part, you will be presented with one stalk. A pizza will likely be your largest dish presented.

The food here is authentic Italian fare with good flavours and at a very reasonable price. Regrettably however, the service was less than premium. After being rushed to place our initial food and drink order, we were often neglected for much of the evening which was a real shame.

I was expecting a better experience from this place. The location is gorgeous and the team is really friendly, but the food is just right. Nothing really special as I would find in a fancy place like this. Anyway, if you like italian kitchen I would recommend this restaurant. Bring your partner or your clients. Very cool concept and the restaurant has a very cool vibe. It's basically tapas with Italian food. They recommend two tapas person and everything we had we enjoyed. The prices do add up but the quality was good. I recommend the calamari and the veal Milanese. Service was good.

One star would be for the attentive service. I have never heard of Italian food being served 'tapas style' that is brought to your table as it is ready. The portions are small, the food is average at best - no bread or simple sides either. I left hungry, a first for an Italian restaurant. Plenty of better options in my opinion.
