Although the interior is lovely the service is extremely slow. I had to wait 45 minutes to get served - the staff ignored me and my friends a few times. The food is nice - both the bruschetta's on the menu are lovely! I would only recommend going to Fumo if you have a lot of time.

Excellent food and wine. Quite expensive for the small dishes. The truffle ravioli was amazing and would go to Fumo again just for that dish!

I like this place because they serve good quality and tasty dishes however the service is slow and not very accurate (after having been there multiple times). Also the price is relatively high for the overall experience that you get.

Very good Italian restaurant in London: location and interior are great. All the people are very friendly and caring a lot about the customers. The food is good and with reasonable pricing compared to the average offer in London. Definitely worth a visit for lunch or dinner!

Love the sharing concept of this restaurant, we came as a large group for a birthday and enjoyed dozens of delicious bites shared between us all and washed down with some great wine. Only slightly down size is that it’s a tad expensive for the tiny sizes of the ‘sharing’ plates however as a treat order one of everything on the menu and enjoy!

I went for dinner here on Monday night with my friend after seeing all the good reviews . I like Italian food and I ordered the fried zucchini and the veal. I was impressed by the decor and the hostess so was expecting good things ahead. I was shocked when I ate the first bite of the veal. It took me back to my carefree childhood days when I chewed paper and cardboard in the absence of chewing gum at school. I cannot accurately describe how dry and completely tasteless this dish was besides asking you to chew paper/cardboard. I took one more bite to make sure my mind was not playing games with me. My friend who ordered the lamb cutlets, took one bite and said he won't take another since it was so dry, he couldn't make himself swallow. I sent the veal back to the kitchen and the manager asked me what i'd like to order instead so I chose beef medallions. We asked for the bill and the manager didn't remove the veal I sent back despite our discussion! Can someone please explain why we were tricked like this? This is not professional for a place like Fumo. The two stars here are for the nice hostess and the decent gin and tonic.

I thought the Tapas style menu and the quality of the food was great. I would have paid more to eat here. This was the first place my wife and I ate while visiting London and we both loved it. The wine menu was great and the service was great as well. Our waiter made some recommendations on wines we had not previously had but will now find their way into our collection at home.

Very Italian restaurant. Marble floors, walls and tables. All the staff seemed to be Italian and were extremely professional. The food was good but it felt like the restaurant put more effort into their decor and service.

Food was decent but service was really not as great as the restaurant looked. For a place as elegant as this, you’d expect the utmost professionalism from the server. Granted, we were a big group, but they fully forgot two whole dishes off the order, brought wrong orders, served a drink with a lipstick mark and didn’t return it until further prompting (and even then it was the wrong drink but at that point we’re not gonna say anything). When these mistakes were pointed out, our waiter either visibly rolled his eyes or facepalmed himself. I understand having to work in a busy restaurant on a Friday evening is stressful, but with these prices, I don’t think expecting a little grace from the server should be a big ask.

Really nice food just slightly over priced as you order like you do tapas. Staff were friendly but a bit rushed. It was close to Christmas though.

I will not mentioned the food here because it deserves a 5 star mark; I highly recommend the seafood. I want to focus on the attentionn we received. The staff here are truly committed to customer service. When you first step in, you feel that this a very formal, dressing-code type of restaurant. Nothing can be furthest from the truth. The waiters are the friendliest and most relaxed staff I have come across. The chef himself was the first to be around the table looking after me and my wife; we even had one of the waiters preparing some dressing for us at the table after he overheard my wife saying she would like something to add to her salad. I definitely will come back to this pleasant restaurant.

A little over priced for what you get. The choice of dishes makes a big difference. Don't order the scallops, that's a complete rip off.

Great food and not ridiculously priced. For being a tapas concept, portion sizes are quite filling, so not to worry, your wallet won't get empty as your stomach gets full. The quality of the food was great. Of all the things I tried, I have to say that the mushroom bruschettas and the Gnocci gorgonzola are a winning combination. Very friendly staff too, who were more than happy to go the extra mile to find as a table.

Good food but bear in mind that you need to order 2 or 3 main courses when you look at the prices! It's a bit noisy and difficult to hear what people are saying if you are in a group. However the food quality seems very good. I would caution against the filetted sea bass cooked in a crust of rock salt. They break off the crust before serving but there were still small lumps that made it unpleasant to eat. You couldn't see the small lumps because the lighting level was quite low. Other than that, the food was delicious.

Vibrant Italian restaurant with friendly Italian staff. Delicious, delicate dishes come in small or medium size so they can be shared like tapas. Memorable dinner, we will come back!

The restaurant is quite busy but the food is good and the waiters nice. As we haven't booked, we had a dinner at the bar, which was quite ok but I think the experience would have been a bit better at a table. But I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a fantastic experience at Fumo. The food was excellent and the service superb. Antonetta was our hostess and made our visit particularly enjoyable. Her recommendations were spot on and she made us feel welcomed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in London. You won’t be disappointed!

Authentic Italian restaurant conveniently located for leicester square and Londons Westend, attentive service, lovely decor and well presented food, reasonable prices but relatively small portions, although the flavours do make up for this. Great choice of food across the menu and excellent choice of complementing beverages

Beautiful place with very nice staff. Unfortunately the food is very average which makes you leave with dissatisfaction and disappointment. The fish we had was very dry- we ordered halibut and monkfish. Moreover I’m pretty sure it was not even monkfish... the texture was very suspicious- more like cod. Nothing special. Don’t ever be tempted to order the lasagna- it is the smallest portion I’ve ever seen, literally 2-3 bites and all sloppy swimming in a soup of sauce. The porcini/ truffle pasta was very nice. I won’t be returning and also can’t recommend ;(

Italian tapas style restaurant. Two will share a meal for one but pay for four. Lovely setting and the service is good though. Decent food but very small portions and not amazing. Perhaps well priced for tapas but not a ££ restaurant as per google listing.

GREAT food, TERRIBLE service! The last few times we have visited, the wait staff would fail to take our order, and/or would become completely inattentive. I've taken out of town visitors there twice and we've have had to walk out after waiting an hour for someone to take our order (despite getting up and asking several times) (as did other diners). If you're able to get food though, you won't be disappointed! The various plates are all well prepared with fresh ingredients.

Beautiful Italian 'Tapas-Style' Restaurant in a great location. The interior is extremely decedant with marble and granite used everywhere, a beautiful bar and Cured meats hanging by the window. The food was very pleasant, but even more surprising (for the location) was the extremely reasonable prices. We had a meal for 2 with around 5 dishes + Oysters to start, we both had drinks and the meal came to around £90. Very much enjoyed our meal, i would definitely go back.

Extremely disappointing. Rude and arrogant staff with appallingly low levels of customer service. We were schooled on arrival that their policy is "not to share plates" and that the concept was tapas style in nature. We did not appreciate the lengthy lecture prior to the substandard we service we received. The food was cold and awful, I can make better pizza at home; the ENTIRE SHRIMP was fried in batter DE-SHELLED which makes zero sense. The waiter lacked communication skills, looked bored and miserable and never smiled. I refused to pay the service change and for prawns; which they removed from the bill. Go to Sainsbury's and get a ready meal instead it will give you far better value than this overpriced psuedoitalian restaurant in central London.

I prefer to have multiple appetizers and skip the entree, and this is where Fumo excels. It is a little expensive, but well worth it, and the staff are great. I plan to go here every time I visit London.

Great service, fantastic tasty food along with superb Italian wine! The setting is wonderful. A thoroughly enjoyable visit - as it always is. There's no better place for Italian tapas-style eating at a reasonable price.

DO NOT GO HERE. Ok food but disgusting service. Kept waiting for 20 minutes after our reservation time with no apology just expected to stand in doorway. Not attentive at table and when we decided not to add the service charge due to poor service they we rude and disrespectful. Far too many places to eat in central london to accept this type of behaviour. Will never go back and i suggest you never go there also.

We were a large-ish group that had reserved a table. We did have to wait a bit when we arrived - not a huge issue, but there's not much space to stand near the front, so we were in people's way a bit. The food is amazing - every dish was spot on! Service at the table was also very good.

Promised a lot but didn't deliver. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the front of house staff were welcoming, but our experience went downhill from there. We waited a while to have our order taken and the waiter would have walked away without taking our drinks order if not prompted by us. We'd been informed about the 'tapas' menu concept, and encouraged to order 4-5 dishes to share, but the dining experience was broken by long waits for dishes to arrive and very small portions. On top of that, the quality of food was abysmal; burnt bread, overcooked and dry fish, and under-seasoned throughout. Our waiter had clearly lost track of our dishes as we had to remind him we were still waiting for the last one as he tried to clear our table. In hindsight I wish we hadn't bothered as it was the worst of the lot. We left hungry and won't be recommending.

I have been here twice now, both times the food has been excellent but the service poor. The first visit we booked a table, I appreciate it was busy as it was a Saturday evening but before we could even sit down the waiter was trying to take our food order. We said can we have a minute to decide on drinks and then a bit longer for food, we were told we had to hurry up as they wanted to turn the tables fast as it was a busy evening. The waiter hurried us in our food order and even tried to tell us what to have to hurry us up. In the end they didn't need our table and when it was quieter the service went the opposite way and we couldn't get a waiter's attention if we tried. We had several different staff waiting our table and attitude was generally poor. The second time I went back on a quiet Sunday with a friend for an early dinner, again the service was verging on aggressive and nothing at all personable, all about getting our orders as fast as they could. The food is fantastic and the concept brilliant, incredible food at a great price and some things are larger so you can get away with having a dish as a 'main' if your appetite isn't huge, they give you complimentary bread and biscuits to go with your coffee at the end, however a piece of food does not make up for poor service. If they focused more on quality service than quantity of customers they can turn around, they could easily charge more and be fully booked all night. A real shame as this place could be so much more if the service lived up to the food.

Honestly one of my favourite places for authentic Italian. Last visited for a birthday and the staff made every effort to truly make it a special occasion. Would consider this one of my hidden gems of London but being in central London at such a good price point for good quality food means it's veen found out and is often booked out!
