Booked a table but opted to sit at the bar if the overall view was good for people watching. I had crispy duck salad. Very tasty. My friend had a Waldorf type salad. It was excellent. It was early evening but the vibe was excellent. Staff very helpful. Toilets nice and clean. The usual beautiful art on the walls. Going again in April.

I looked the ambience and the drinks tasted delicious. However 2 set backs were that my husband found a piece of plastic in his food although the staff were kind enough not to bill us for that meal and it was boiling hot in there as there were no air conditioning

Went here last night for our 3 year anniverary, booked table for 9pm, baring in mind new lockdown rules require kick out at 10pm, as soon as we arrived we got rushed to order by 3 different waiters, the food arrived literally minutes after ordering, our shepards pie we got was 100% microwaved, warm outside and stone cold in the middle, very disapointed if it wasnt for my partner i would have complained in the restaruant supposed to be a 4 and a half star venue and we got microwaved food, the waiters were nice, they gave us a 2.99 discount for rushing us and apologised, they shouldnt let people book a table for 9pm bevsuse theres just not enough time, they said we could only order 1 starter each and thats it, ive had better experiences is a mcdonalds than the ivy. Aslo the shepards pie was slightly bigger than a hockey puck at 15.99 was total daylight robbery. Rather a nandos any day

This is a beautiful restaurant. Amazing detail inside and I felt very posh going. The food was great and I left feeling extremely full up, the only downside was the price. Obviously it's expensive but for 2 mains, 2 desserts and 2 soft drinks it was £75. Overall great tho.

Had a fantastic girlie cream tea. The Ivy also catered for veggie & vegan preferences. Good service. Could do with more than two ladies loos. We had a long queue. Also it would be nice if we could book for more than eight people.

Good food and excellent service. I enjoyed my tuna carparcio and my partner had a very good duck salad. The zucchini frities are well worth trying.

The Ivy is a small chain, but this was my first time at the Brighton one. Being a chain they have a similar theme, whish has a feel of art deco about it. Service food and drinks are always excellent. I like to think of it as a little haven of culture in the middle of Brighton. Expect to pay £70-80 per head, including drinks and cocktails. By today's standards a good value night out for something that always feels special.

Pretty good. Nice atmosphere and good service from the staff. More a brasserie-style than the London Ivy, if you're comparing. I enjoyed the "grilled whole lobster" and my guest said the "chicken bourguignon" was great too. The "Ivy Collection Champagne" was also very drinkable. We sat at a table 'out the back' which I suppose was a mixed blessing, slightly quieter, but also slightly out of the hubbub of the salon / bar area out front. We also got a look in to the Tidal room which looked like a great space for private dining for a special occasion, for up to 15-20 people, at a guess. Would go back for sure.

If you're in the mood for stylish dining book here, unfortunately the vegetarian options tasted bland according to 4 of the party I was with. I had the sirloin and a salmon starter, pretty much ok as you would expect from the Ivy. The Service was better than before I last attended. Wine menu was extensive so you can be assured that you can buy for a price that suits all. It ain't cheap,it's in the middle ground it's the Ivy in the Lanes.

Highest standards are being maintained and yet this Ivy manages to deliver a friendly informality.

Overall nice experience good decor, style service etc, however very over priced for the food they serve could be better and portions could be larger as it would take the starter, main and dessert to feel fairly full depending what you order. There should be more seasoning on some of their dishes I think such as the chicken I had was rather plain and could’ve probably made myself. Think they should invest in a more variety of seafood dishes since there’s a lot of seafood references across the place in decorations but not as much choice as I was hoping for. Despite this the professionalism of the staff I really appreciate and their desserts and craft beer are worth every penny ????

The best restaurant in Brighton, not simply for its spectacular and exotic interior but for its excellent food and service. 10 out of 10 all round.

My husband and I had a meal at the Ivy for a special occasion and we are so glad we chose it. The atmosphere is amazing- it’s beautiful and it buzzes with life. A visit to the bathrooms is a must! :) Our waiter was outstanding- he really looked after us well and made great suggestions. The espresso martini was a highlight. I am not giving it a full five stars simply because it was not the very best food I have had (especially in Brighton, where competition is tough), but I would still whole heartedly recommend it.

Sat at the bar, found the service inconsistent. Food was good. No offer of coffee or deserts which might have tempted me. Would have given a three star until the member of bar staff tossed my bill at me and offered no thank you. Shame as the setting was great. I am sure the table service is better. My first visit to this branch but sadly my last.

Fantastic evening. Great service and good food. Our waiter was a young blond slightly eccentric guy but really good at his job. All staff very attentive and ambiance although quite loud was also chilled. Decor was a mix of art deco with a modern twist. Food cooked to perfection and well presented. If it's a special occasion then well worth that extra expense.

A beautiful interior and nice relaxed atmosphere. A long bar with stools was very popular. Food was really well prepared and good quality. Could do with a few non-chips items. Maybe a risotto or two.

Fine dining at an affordable prices. Bread and water offered for our table. Non alcoholic mocktails need some adjustments. Food was rich, generous with portions size. Deserts were really lovely. Not a place to bring young children. Toilets were very untidy when we was there.

Breakfast good but they forgot my partner's black pudding, which he didn't notice until he'd nearly finished. We had to ask 3 times for Bloody Mary's.

One of the best places to eat and drink in Brighton. The Ivy in the Lanes is superb I would highly recommend it. I visited with my girlfriend for a Saturday lunch and was not disappointed. I had the crispy duck salad for starter which was superb. Very light duck with succulent crispy pieces and very light and delicious. I could eat this everyday! Then I had a halloumi open sandwich which again was superb. Very well cooked halloumi and the dish is very nice I had one bloody Mary which was again great. The service was excellent and I was happy with the value. Good chain and you can expect quality here evertime.

I came here on my birthday with family. We had a waitress for our table who was pleasant and helpful. The place was decorated quite creatively, very eye catching. The ladies toilets were sort of 1930's in design. Loved the wallpaper with huge flowers, and seating that was circular. The waitress after we had eaten came out with a cake and candle for me, organised by my son. I wS really touched. It was a really lovely birthday, I felt very special. Will go again.
