Prices are astonishing, completely over priced, was quoted some figures someone had just thought up? Quoted over £300 to get job done ended up getting done for £40. Guy Anal behind the counter not the best people skills. Will take car somewhere else.

Do not be late!!! First time using halfords for MOT purposes, originally went to the store on abbey lane but was directed to the correct store. Due to traffic and roadworks I was 3 minutes late so the guy couldnt do my MOT as the later appointments would be delayed and the lads "like their saturdays". Front desk tried to offer me an appointment on the monday (I can not do weekdays hence why I booked a saturday) and even had the audacity to try give me his card. Will not be using again due to my first and only experience, only redeeming quality is the manners of the front desk guy. So much for the proverb "the customer is always right".

It's Christmas Eve my brake light buld had gone. As I was going on a long journey I was hoping that a 5 minute job could be done The manager totally refused saying they were too busy. He was dismissive and told me to go to a place near B&Q. I couldn't Didn't like his attitude and left. Around the corner was ATS.they were great. Changed the bulb checked my tyre pressures and the charge was minimal. They were polite and busy. So Halfords for all your fancy advertising about how you can help forget it Whilst I appreciate it was one individuals attitude I will Never use any halfords for anything

What a shambles. Phoned at 12.15pm and booked an MOT for 2.20pm. Arrived but they said they had our details but no time booked. The slot was now taken and couldn't MOT until the following morning. Left and drove around the corner to Walkers Tyres who were great, and fitted us in straight away. Avoid this place

We were told that fixing our car after an MOT would cost £600-700 pounds. We then we took it to a local mechanic and found out that a bulb, windscreen wipers and a push of a button and we were able to pass our MOT safely. The other things were not necessary but we were let to believe they were. This seems a very poor way of treating customers to overpay on work that is not needed.

Best service I've received from any garage in a while, was able to squeeze me in at short notice, explained the MOT process to me, waited in their waiting room, very friendly and polite staff who build rapport not just treating me like a pay check. Will definitely be using this Halfords Autocentre in the future again.

I initially took my car in for a tyre change and an MOT. The job was completed early and I was satisfied with the work. Staff aren't the most talkative but are perfectly polite and helpful. Been back since a full engine service whic again was completed early and engine is performing much better than before.

Would give a 0 if I could. Took my car in for a MOT and probably received the worst customer service I've ever received in my life! Extremely unprofessional and did not take the time to run through the advisories my car had received but just shoved the piece of paper at me. So rude, would definitely not recommend to anyone and would definitely never go back there

Very slow service with distinct lack of urgency. Basic service with MOT both with no faults found took over nine hours after being told maximum of six. Will not go back nor recommend to anyone.

Took the car there for MOT, all went well. I waited in the waiting area and noticed there was no toilet. The location of the auto center can be better as I needed to go round a certain way to get to it. However staff were friendly hence 4 stars.

Reception makes you wait for your car while he answers phone calls to his friends, took car in for service and MOT then said there is no recording of the car being booked in, then after another 20 minutes he booked car in but said MOT will have to be done the next day, not professional at all, apparently there was a glitch on the system

Prompt and helpful at start but seems expensive. I asked to check pricing but he preferred to answer the phone than help me. @ £95 to fit a battery I just asked to check price again. He gave me a key to someone else's car. Not so helpful overall, a shame as usually good to deal with.

Good Cheap tyres and Service , but tried the " its so dangerous i wouldn't drive it" technique to try and flog me extra parts . Took it my next door neighbour who is an MOT tester for a 2nd opinion who advised it does need replacing yes , but "Dangerous" NO .. just another Garage telling lies so the staff can get a bonus. Shame that Garages feel the need to "exaggerate" issues to make a living

When you arrive there in time for your scheduled time slot, they never start doing the job on time. There is always ***at least*** a one hour delay. Today, I arrived there 10 min late for my scheduled time slot due to a road closure. They then told me that I could leave my car there, but that it would probably not be possible to finish the job on the day because I was 10 min late. This is extremely unreasonable, considering that they never start doing the job in the scheduled time! I'm never going back there anymore.

Not entirely sure why this branch gets such bad reviews- I couldn't have been more satisfied with the service I received. I will be honest, the reviews from this site did put me off at first, and also the general reputation of Halfords as a whole, but they were the only garage local to me who could fit me in for an MOT at such short notice (same day booking). I'll be honest, I was desperate as my MOT ran out so long ago and I had forgotten to renew it. Wow what a pleasent surprise! Guys behind the counter could have been a little more chatty and friendly, but hey ho they are nice enough. The real shock for me was the guy who actually tested my car. The credit really goes to a middle-aged gentleman by the name of Marzan (or Marjan..? Not sure, European guy)! Top bloke who even helped me to change bits and bobs on my car to help it to pass (bulbs, plates etc.) Even though I caused him to be late finishing work that day he still offered to help me. Top man. All in all, my opinion has been changed for life due to the service I received yesterday. Don't believe all the reviews you hear about on here, my MOT was £35 and they even helped me to pass! 5*'s. Thank you Halfords. See you next year.

Bad, bad, bad. The worst garage I have gone in my life. Three weeks to solve a battery problem and at the end they gave me the car with the radio/cd broken. They are no honest. They don't know what they're doing. Really bad professionals. Never, never again.

They put on a new oxygen sensor and a new thermostat on my mini, 5 months later my eml came on again they said wouldn't replace it it's due to a build up of carbon emissions. They said i had to have a carbon clean. I had one and still the lights on, so I went somewhere else to have a second opinion and they said I need a new oxygen senor and thermostat even though I just had them both replaced. I was shocked they ripped me off spent over £300 here and I don't think they changed anything. Don't go here!!

Good service allround Anil the manager was helpful answering questions only when asked otherwise got on with his job & did not want to be disturbed . The tyre fitter needed supervision in my opinion He left a few white stains on the side walls of the tyre more like white grease Used whilst fitting the tyre on the rim, Staff were friendly but could with informing the customer on the basic information I.e. Tyre pressures,torque setting .

I was told that price for wheel alignments 60 pounds. On internet 30 pounds? I had appointment through internet When I came I was told to drop the car there and wait for phone They even didn't know how long it will took. I response for it that I wait on site after 0,5 hour done without guarantee and not good enough effect, means they took money for nothing?They also suggest car would fail mot if I would do because small cracks on front and rear tyres, so they suggest "on invoice" to buy a brand new 4 tyres from them and another repairs for total cost 1200 pounds. Totally disaster.

Car owned : Honda Accord 2.2 diesel Issue: Clutch going and not being able to come up by it self, have to manually push it back up Occurance: 3 - 4 times in a month... So i ring halford autocentre, having them done my service and mot on multiple occassion, i thought i could trust them. However this time i am very dissapointed with the service provide and seeing how they are conning people into believing lots of work is required. I rang them on saturday 29th July and was told to bring it for diagnose on 1st August at 8:30, so i go to drop it off and ask how long it will take and get told we will ring when its completed, get to around 1/2pm i ring them up and get told i need Master cylinder, Slave cylinder, new clutch kit, and some pedal stuff which is woren out, and they were getting the cost of all this. So i told the branch manager (Altaf) that i have warranty which covers parts and labour for all of sudden failure with parts. However they need garage to ring them directly, so i get told by the branch manager they had rang them and trusting them i take the car from halford, wait a day and not head anything so i ring again and get told they are still waiting for warranty people so in the mean time i book a diagnose with Honda specialist, to get it checked out on 4th August. Straight away i get told your clutch is perfect, after few checks on slave cylinder confirms that it is performing as it needs to. So it was down to master cylinder, the quote for just the master cylinder which is genuine Honda part £225 inc vat and around £75 for labour. So in total the amount to fix the issue was £300. After this i ring the warranty company, to find out if Halfords had rang them to start the process of claim. And i get told no one has rang them apart from myself. Therefore it proves that Halford are just lying scumbag as they cannot provide the warranty company with images of faulty parts. When confronting the branch over the phone, he didnt have anything to say apart from he doesn’t know why technician has said all this part are faulty and he will talk to them and ring me back, however i have never heard anything from them. I would like to recommed anyone that goes to halford, get things double checked before giving this scumbags anything to do. I have save more than £600+ for things which didnt require any work doing. If i could i would have given them zero stars after this incident. As now it makes me think about all the time i have been there, have they actually conned me then too and not installed the parts which was required.

From start to finish, Lance & Andy @ TIGERS WAY, LEICS have been simply amazing. Started with my car @ ATS Mon, 24 April , for some work, Adrian @ ATS could not fulfill the requirements. He suggested Halford's Autocentre, Woodgate. After a conversation with them I wasn't keen. I called the Tigers Way Branch & they were the most helpful garage I've known in my 30yrs of driving. Lance liaised with Adrian @ ATS to discuss my poor little corsa's faults. Booked it in with me for Weds, 26 April. From the minute I arrived the service was impeccable. And when I came back to collect my car, your poor mechanics exhausted themselves trying to get my boot open, to a point of despair poor fellas. New backlight ordered for this morning, MOT completed. Lovely rapport with Andy & Lance all the way through. I really thought Andy had been with Halfords for a while, he's only been there just over a week. And what a fantastic example of manager & team coach he is. Halford's, TIGERS WAY, LEICS is my new garage. Even though I live out of town, I'll be using them when needed.
