Brought an engagement ring here after spending a long time looking around jewellers around the Laines.
Was given plenty of time to think about it and not rushed or pressured into making a purchase.
Really pleased with the choice I made. A year has passed and the ring still looks brilliant. It has not had any stones drop out or scuffed.
The ring was a size to big but Grains of Gold reduced the size when I called back in and handed it back to me an hour, you could not see any sign of alteration.

I cannot praise Grains of Gold highly enough for the way they handled a very precious piece of jewellery for me. I wanted to restore my sister's ring as she passed away in 2018 and after wearing it for a year it started to turn black. It was too far gone to clean so they made me an identical ring using the same stone. They understood the importance of using part of the original ring and even made a special note on the instructions. Their kindness and empathy was a comfort and special thanks from me to Caius Sheppard

Overwhelmed buy a piece of jewelry I had made here from an old cross to a new symbol.
Service was fantastic and the honesty topped it off when they returned the off cut left over that was then brought back and taken off the agreed price.

Grains of Gold are a truly top-notch outfit and a credit to the jewellery trade in the Brighton Lanes. They repaired my girlfriend's favourite necklace as a surprise for her birthday (on very short notice) and did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. Thoroughly recommended!

I like Caius he is a quirky guy and takes pride in what he does. I asked him to re-set a sentimental family ring to a smaller art deco style. The result was sensational and actually brought me to tears when I collected it. I will be using Caius again 100%. Thank you grains of gold.

My partner brought a lovely engagement ring from Grains of Gold. It is so beautiful and the advice and experience he had as a first time jewellery buyer from the staff was great! It was a little big so I took it in to re-size it. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and re-sized it for me the same afternoon! Thoroughly recommend them for both quality in terms of the ring itself and their amazing team!

Went in for a resize on my fiancé’s engagement ring. Vintage emerald with diamonds set in gold. Most other places I asked weren’t confident with touching old stones. Grains of gold had no problem.
I expected them to tell me it would take 1 if not 2 weeks.
They had it back to me in under 24hours with a seamless finish. And just £30 for the type of ring we have.
They have a work shop on site which is the biggest benefit.
Thanks to Sean and everyone else who helped me get sorted so fast.

I went to grains of gold to have my engagement ring changed to platinum from 18ct gold and also have some claws repaired.
They also made a replica of my wedding ring from 18ct gold into platinum.
The work was undertaken in a very professional manner.

Had a 22ct 1931 gold ring which I inherited from my grandmother fixed and resized here for my wedding ring and they’ve done such a great job and deciphered the hallmark for me. And seeing the ring polished for the first time in almost 100 years is incredible. Cheers for such a great job!

We were in 'The Lanes' yesterday looking for a secondhand ring to replace one that was stolen recently. We saw a Victorian one we liked in the window. The gentleman that served us was so helpful and offered to re size the ring free of charge. We came back one and a half hours later and it was all done - fantastic service. We would recommend this shop.
