Navigating jewelers in Brighton can be a really difficult process, thankfully Carter & Follows are so good you won't need to go anywhere else! Tom and Penny are both so knowledgeable and provide first class service. Nothing is too much trouble and there is no hard sell - just honest advice. Despite us now living in another country we won't be going anywhere else for our next purchase, they really are that good.

My partner and I bought our wedding bands and engagement ring from Carter and Follows, and found the whole experience flawless. Buying jewellery can feel daunting, but each step of the process was demystified by their caring and considered service. Tom and Penny were genuinely interested in what we were buying and spent time with us, asking questions and guiding us to a decision that best utilised our budget. At no point did we feel pressured or obligated to buy, and needlessly expensive items were not forced upon us. In the end, we chose a bespoke engagement ring, using a stone that Tom had ordered to the shop. This felt like the right decision, as it was unique to us and more contemporary than many of the rings we’d seen elsewhere. Yesterday, we visited the shop to collect the rings and each of them exceeded our expectations, both in terms of weight and finish. With so many jewellery shops in the Brighton Laines, it can be hard to distinguish where’s best to shop, yet if you’re on the coast or can make the trip, then Carter and Follows is definitely worth a visit. It’s nice to feel like a valued customer and along with the great service, the shop feels Covid-secure, which is vital these days.

Couldn’t recommend this shop more- Me and my partner came down from London to find a wedding ring- we weren’t too sure what we wanted and Penny & Tom were absolutely amazing - they were very patient and asked all the right questions - they weren't at all pushy and seemed genuinely excited to help me find my perfect wedding ring! They drew up the perfect custom ring to fit my engagement ring. They worked with us being in London and made everything so easy. I could not be happier with the final product or the service I received!

The service we received at Carter and Follows was exceptional from start to finish. We walked in, without an appointment, with a vague idea of what I wanted for my engagement ring. Penny was welcoming and friendly and listened to my ideas. She is extremely knowledable and helped us create my dream ring. I was able to wear a 'mock' ring for 24 hours to make sure I was happy with it, which I was. Highly recommended, a friendly, unintimidating and bespoke service.

What a fantastic place this is! I went to the shop browsing for a wedding ring, and Tom was extremely attentive and helpful with his advice.
There was absolutely no hard sell at all, unlike many other shops we went into. We bought the ring which I collected yesterday. It's absolutely perfect!
I rarely post reviews but Carter and Follows totally deserves one. We will certainly be back!

We bought our rings for our Civil Partnership from Carter & Follows. They have a really unique range to choose from, and offered something different to other jewellers in the area. We were able to personalise the rings and were given really helpful advice when choosing, taking account of our individual preferences.
Penny and Tom were amazing at every step of the process. They provided such a friendly, relaxed and professional service throughout which made it such a nice experience. We love our rings and are so glad that we came into the shop that day! Thank you!

We had such a great experience with Carter & Follows. Their friendliness, professionalism and expertise made us feel so at ease. They didn't put us under any pressure to buy, but gave us time to consider the options. When we did decide to buy, they arranged to have it ready for when we needed and the after-purchase service was second to none. And when the ring was finally ready, it was absolutely perfect and matched what we had in mind. Highly recommended in every respect.

We bought our wedding bands from Carter and Follows, and they have been fantastic throughout. Very friendly and helpful when choosing rings in the shop (not pushy and very genuine, which was a nice change from some of the other jewellery shops in the Laines), and arranged it all via email during COVID which made it much less stressful for us. We are really happy with the quality of the rings, which are beautifully designed and really well made. Thanks to Penny for being so great throughout.

Fantastic experience in Carter and Follows! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two smiley people who couldn’t of gone out of their way to help me more. I unfortunately lost the stone in my engagement ring and they gave me so many options of how I could make my ring exactly how I wanted it again. Very knowledgeable, very understanding and 10/10 customer service. It’s incredible to deal with a business who genuinely care about their customers. I will use Carter and Follows for all my jewellery needs and will also be telling all my friends and family as great service is hard to come by these days. Thank you for everything x

Fantastic place, the owners are really friendly and made the process of choosing an eternity ring feel so personal and enjoyable.
There was minimal wait time at each stage, particularly when I needed to have it resized slightly, they did that and polished my other rings in the space of an afternoon.
The ring is beautiful and I'll be going back for any other pieces of jewellery or polishing I need in the future.

I wasnt sure it was going to be achievable, however this challenge wasnt to much for the likes of the owners at Carter & Follows. The whole experience from start to finish was both professional and personable, the end result exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier. i bought a beautiful ring for my daughter's 18th and could not be happier with the design I chose and the service provided. Tom went out of his way to ensure the ring would be ready on time and the ring was exactly how i wanted it. This shop is a genuine "jewel in the crown" among so many jewellers in the Laines. Superb!
