The staff were warm and welcoming in the office and extra helpful and went out of there way to help me I got a really nice van that was clean and tidy!! And I returned the van with same warm welcome and straight forward return no faults at all and no problems would really recommend and not even think about not using them again! Thanks strafford!!!

If I could give Stafford zero stars I would. I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service, nothing ran smoothly. Definitely will not be using this company again and will do everything in my power to stop anyone from using them. I have been to many vehicle hire companies over the last couple of months due to moving house. No doubt the reply to the review from Stafford will be claiming that I have never hired from them and questions on the defensive and not owning up to their wrong doings.

I needed to hire a van to move contents of my flat down to London from Brighton. I spoke with the guys at Stratford Self Drive Brighton & they reserved a van for me. The van was available for collection on time & served me well on the day. I returned it on time & must say that it served me well with no problems.

Me and my friend used this company for a van removal and it was a BIG mistake.
Do not be fooled by the cheap price, they make the money back and con you terribly. The two ladies at the reception are completely unreasonable and rude. Rather than responding to phone calls to help customers their main aim is to grab all of your money - something they are trained in.
Its worth paying a bit more for a ethical company!!!!
On a side note it appears their only response to negative feedback is to claim that customers did not rent a van from them - summing them all up really.

Over the festive period I had to take my family up to Cambridge, Strafford Self drive took care of supplying the vehicle for me as always. I've been using them for years now, never had any problems, and always a great experience/ service for a reasonable price!

We hired a motor home to go camping as a family. The motor Home supplied was a 2018 (literally brand new) and from what I saw at their depot they were all 2017 or 2018. The staff In Brighton were helpful in explaining exactly how everything worked on the motor home and ensured that it was ready and clean for my arrival to avoid delays.
It came with unlimited miles as standard and it was only a little extra to add 3 drivers and EU insurance cover (lots of other motor home hire companies do not offer EU insurance whatsoever).
Following my fantastic experience using Straffords I considered purchasing the exact model I hired (zefiro 675) however after running the sums it is actually more cost effective for me to rent one for the 3 or 4 weeks a year I would use it... after insurance, storage, depreciation, road tax and maintainance hire charges work out to be 1/3 of the cost if that!!!
Superb level of service. We have already booked our next trip with Strafford.
