I cannot recommend this shop. I took my Trek in to get tubeless tyres fitted properly after my failed attempt but 1 week later found both tyres deflated, pumped them up again and all seemed fine, for 2 days and deflated again. Kept doing this thinking it might be the valve core, so ordered some off amazon. I tried inflating the tyres and found air coming through the relief hole in the rim. At the same time all of around 80ml of sealant made its way out of the tyres and onto my floor. So I cleaned that up and decided to pop the tyres out of the bead (no sealant in them now anyway) and found the rim tapes coming up and what seemed to be one further loop of tape on top of what I'd put in. So in total I was charged £20 for tyre fitting, £16 for sealant £2 for valve o-rings and £18 for tubeless tape. I feel like I've been taken advantage of and will NOT be going back there again.

These guys are AWESOME. Was able to book some work by phone for the following day. They absolutely know their stuff and took the time to explain to me exactly why they were making various recommendations. I had to go back in a week later because I'd had an (unrelated) prang and they were super generous with their time and advice. I cannot rate these guys highly enough, and would give them 6 stars if I could.

Stopped at this bike shop by chance today and it was GREAT. I flew with my bike to London a few days ago and I put it together myself, so I needed someone to double check it. Peter took care of my bike on the spot; he adjusted my derailleur and also fine tuned my brakes, handlebar and pedals super quickly. He was also very generous with the price! I was lucky to stop there today and really recommend the shop. It will be my local shop from now on :)

Went in for a flat on my rear tire and they were extremely helpful. The mechanic replaced my tube and recommended a new tire as mine had a puncture. I enjoyed a coffee at the Cafe next door (on their recommendation) as they repaired my bike in under 30 minutes.

I have been taking my bike to the LBW for over 8 years and I have recommended it to family and friends. They have never failed. They are honest, stranghtforward and professional. They will always provide candid advice and won't try to trick you into paying for unnecessary repairs or parts.

Really good and professional! Great guys, came in as my shifters were feeling a bit clunky. They had it ready for me next day. Bike shifts like new. The guys there are really helpful, and happy to give tips on your bike. Unlike other 'cooler' bike shops out East, these guys weren't trying to sell anything, and didn't have a hipster attitude. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

They changed my front tyre and the tube at £15, not including parts as they don't sell parts for a foldable bike. I thought this is a bit overpriced but I didn't have an option as I couldn't travel with the broken bike. They were sceptical about the parts I brought in terms of volume which shouldn't be an issue as I've done my research... (They replaced it successfully) Good for an urgent occasion but don't think it's a place for me with my foldable bike.

I went in with an issue with my rear wheel. Diagnosed within minutes, reasonable solution proposed, reasonable prices, no overselling. Work done very quickly same day, all with a smile and helpful recommendations and tips for maintaining my bike better. Far superior to competing workshops, especially the large chains. Highly recommended and I will now come here for all my bike maintenance needs.

went in to get a spoke repaired and a new cassette. They quoted me £250.00, didn't listen to what I actually wanted and just ended up tying trying to upsell the whole time. Job was finished by another local bike shop for the cost of £50quid, no problems and no ridiculous quotes. AVOID

Great, fast, reliable service in the heart of the city. Fixed a puncture and changed my tyre on my way to work in 15 min and they were friendly and gave me advice on how to take care of my bike. I will definitely go back for any future servicing I need. 10/10!

Can't recommend these guys enough. I was looking at getting a new bike and they offered exceptional advice and service, carefully advising me and helping setup a few bikes for me to test ride. I found their service and advice infinitely better than the likes of Evans or Cycle surgery, don't waste your time and visit these guys - a proper bike shop with passionate, knowledgeable staff.

Went in with puncture, firstly they tried to tell me the brake pad had caused the picture by rubbing, but no marks at all, I left it there and said just fix the puncture, they called me to say that the brake pad needs changing and so that means the cable too, costing about £56.00 including labour, everyone knows that brake cables are not changed when pads are. I collected the bike and took it to a nearby cycle shop who confirmed bot brake pads and cable are fine, so this store lied to upset. disgraceful.

I went in today with a punctured back wheel. They said I can come back later or they can have it done in 15 mins. They had it done in 5 minutes and offered me clear professional advice on how to stop it happening again, and how best to lock my bike. They also offered to order me in a THULE rucksack that I have been struggling to find on the high street. Awesome customer service. Will be back again! :)

Really decent, articulate, proactive team - very responsive with customer service in store and clearly know their stuff. Even better: they're not pretentious in the least and you don't have to be a M.A.M.I.L to be taken seriously. I bought a decent hybrid for around £500 and it was absolutely right for me - no overselling, no BS. This is a classic example of a great team of hardworking Polish lads who knock the socks off the shrugging Halfords and Evans crew. I also really rate the way the workshop is there visible to you and everyone chips in - in total contrast to the invisible 'bloke in the back' who's not there now and 'I'll have to ask him when he looks at it'. Good operation and one to go back to. Well done.

They are helpful as this is their job but very very expensive. They sold me a tyre twice expensive as on the market and I had no choice but to accept as my bike was broken down in the middle of road.

Got some great tips from super-friendly experts at LBW in Clerkenwell yesterday; got my (newly acquired, second-hand) bike serviced - easy-peasy. Bike was ready when promised and I got a sweet deal on a few items I bought off the shelf. What more can one ask for? 5 stars! M.

These guys are great! I've visited a lot of bikeshops over the last 20 years in London - in Evans and others, service tends to be bad: staff ignore waiting customers or have little time/interest/expertise in helping. Totally different with these guys - everyone I spoke with was expert and really helpful and friendly. I'd have counted this as great customer service even if other bike shops were good - but given how dreadful most are, the difference was outstanding.

I don't trust them. They're the equivalent of a bad mechanics/bad builder and try to get extra £ out of you where they can. About 5 years ago I could take my bike there and always be impressed. Now they'll insist you purchase the most expensive components at retail price even though you can go to evans/cycle surgery and pay half the price. I literally saved £150 buying the exact same cassette, bb, chain and brake pads by going to cycle surgery. They insisted on replacing the bottom bracket for no reason at all... why? Oh because they can charge you £35 for something you can buy for £20 literally anywhere else. If they had inspected it they would have seen that it was recently replaced so they're just saying things to sound credible but in reality they're just trying to get more money out of you for trivial things. Really disappointed in their service and will never go there again.

Had a lovely time in this shop earlier (and testing bikes!), the guy helping me was really friendly, patient and knowledgeable and let me try as many bikes as I wanted for as long as I wanted without making me feel guilty. He seemed to know exactly the kind of thing I wanted and was genuinely helpful. Really nice little shop with lovely bikes and a lovely atmosphere

By far the best service I have ever received in any of the London bike shops. The guys working here are knowledgeable and very passionate about their job. The quality of the customer care is top notch and the quality and speed of the service is impeccable. My bike was diagnosed, parts were chosen and the replacement and servicing was all done to the highest standards and speed. The staff was always very helpful and polite. Even when it came to simple questions about gear, or general biking, the responses given were very eloquent and professional. A bike shop how a 21st century bike shop should be. Would recommend 10+ out of 10.

I popped in to have a service for two of my bikes. I also presented them with a problem. 105 to 11 - 36. Solved by the guys in the shop. They were great in advising what I needed, and what I didn't. £300 quid later (well worth it) I'm all set up to explore Europe and enjoy the climbs on a 105. Yes. You can take a 105 to 36t. Do it. Save your knees. Enjoy what you do, rather than giving yourself a hard time about not being fit enough for 32t.

What makes a great cycle shop isn't what they offer but how they treat you. I have been using LBW for the past three years now having lost my faith in Evans Cycles. I find the staff very friendly helpful and they know what they are talking about. They practically walked me through the process of getting a new bicycle through cycle scheme too. The service truly is great and they have secured my custom for many years to come. Keep up the good work.
