Customers consider:- entire 2020 was covid nightmare & Brexit has massively impacted sourcing parts. I didn't know until reading today Evans was taken over by new company. Lucky these stores are open

In a time where bike shops are run off their feet, I have been turned away from many places. A piece of luck plus amazing help from Leonard, I was lucky enough to get my broken brake cable and rather dysfunctional bike repaired and beautifully tuned to get me back on the road. I'm ever so grateful! Amazing service!!!

I came in this store on the 13th Feb 2021,regarding a replacement chain and a 9 speed cassette for a Pinnacle Colbalt 2 hybrid.The staff were extremely help and polite,but there was a youngster of whom I forgot his name(soz),was extremely helpful, he replaced all the parts that I asked for,but also he straightened out my rear derailleur and also the front as they were both out of line,all while I was waiting. I highly recommend going to this bike shop in Farringdon,than all the rest of the Evans Cycles in Central London

I've recently popped in not once but twice with minor bike issues (not minor to me, of course) and the great people at Evans were very helpful on both occasions and fixed my issues quickly. They also refused to charge me! If (when) I have a more significant problem with my bike, I will definitely return to this shop.

Many thanks to the great team at St Paul's. I have just completed my first cycling tour in Taiwan and they were so helpful with their advice and in helping me have the right kit for the job. They couldn't do anything about my fitness but they made an epic trip that much more enjoyable. Also, if you are interested in going to this amazing country, with the most delicious food and perfect roads I recommend using Panagoe. The two brothers that run Panagoe will customise your trip and show you all the best places on the way. Their bikes are pretty awesome too!

Truly impressed by St Paul’s store team. Pre-sales communication via email was simply impressive. In store experience led by Tanya was refreshing. She spent nearly half an hour with me showing me how the Brompton functions. Very very knowledgeable. The real test came after the purchase. I had issue with the Brompton I purchased. Marvellous bunch at Evans St Pauls! I received the following stream of excellent customer service from the team yesterday evening: 1. My Brompton suffered a tyre puncture at 5.40pm and their store closed at 6pm. I jumped on a (very slow bus) and managed to get to them just after 6pm. They kept the store open to let me buy a new inner tube which was, first of all, amazing! 2. Then, even more amazing, just after I had purchased the new inner tube, the engineer agreed to replace my inner tube for me on the spot - even though his working day ended at 6pm. 3. The price for the service and the part was very reasonable. 4. Everyone in the store was so friendly and overall it was a great customer experience. I could not fault it. I highly recommend this store and its team. Thank you so much! Ellie

I write this review because I feel completely disappointed with the service received by this branch. I took my bike to them because it needed some work, and the guy after have a look told me I need to change the rear sprockets and a few other things. I picked up the bike the same day all good, I paid a good £100 and come back home. Following day I took my bike to go to work and I felt so badly. It seemed the rear sprockets wasn't working properly. I took my bike back and for my surprise They told me they didn't change the rear sprockets because they don't have it in stock. This is DANGEROUS! I took my bike thinking it was fixed and none told me anything!! I even requested my receipt to make sure I didn't pay for it. To put the cherry on top of the cake, I asked the guy if they could fix the bike now, because I didn't want to take the bike anymore without being fixed and he tells me "I'm not really sure when we have this delivered.. you better look around" so yes... I wont definitely come back there.

Excellent customer service from staff at Evans near St Pauls today. In particular Nick C who was kind enough to fix my front wheel at very short notice. Paul who I've spoken to twice on the phone over the last two months is always friendly and helpful. Tanya was really helpful with my Garmin dilemma! Evans is my go to bike shop because staff across the shop know their stuff and really want to help. Thoroughly recommend them if you need help with your bike. I work in customer service myself and can't praise the staff enough. Thanks for being there for me during the pandemic. Its really appreciated.

What company deletes, updates their database without even a backup?

Where to start with this review. I bought a bike back in December 2019 have had constant issues with the back wheel since the time of purchase. After countless trips speaking to clueless staff who point blank refused to help finally a warranty claim was filed in September 2020. Still no sign of any help as of yet. following a recent trip there three staff members couldn't be more unhelpful and reluctant to even acknowledge our presence in the shop. my back tyre wheel has split and when I showed one of the gormless staff members a photo i was told that he had never seen that before and he had no idea how to help. I have genuinely never had such a poor experience over the past 14 months and it is bitterly disappointing. If anyone thinks it is worth using their service I guarantee you will be left disappointed and amazed that a business can operate with such poor customer service.

Terrible experience. I went into the store with the hope of buying a bike and felt that staff were doing me a favour by talking to me. Getting advice was like squeezing blood out of a stone. There was a big sign at the door saying wearing a mask in the store was mandatory but staff themselves were not wearing one. I have since found a local independent bike shop whose owners are passionate and knowledgable about bicycles. They dispensed great advice and am very happy with my purchase.

I can't recommend Raj and the team enough. I came in here after an accident; he gave me a cup of tea while the team fixed my front wheel. Raj shared his own cycling stories in between looking after people who came in: he knows the stock inside and out; he knows obscure cycling parts and where to find them; he knows quick fixes and what will take longer. And to top it all off... the fix to my bike was free. Tl;dr: come here. I'll definitely be coming back.

Bought my new road bike through this store and I have needed to return on a few occasions for general maintenance and help. I was a novice and some of my questions may be obvious to some but the team in this store have always been very friendly and helpful no matter what the issue is. On the occasions I have had to visit, my bike was sorted on the same day and felt as good as new when leaving. I am also impressed with the Covid procedures in this store - masks worn by all customers and staff, sanitizer on the way in and they don't let the shop get too busy, unlike most other retailers. 5 star service every time and I would highly recommend. Thanks guys!

Fantastic and friendly service by the whole team. I went in to the St Paul’s branch to get my inner tube replaced after a puncture and Tom not only did this but also pointed out that my derailleur was bent, so he fixed that for me, then straightened the disc break and put some oil on the chain! I am so pleased I took it in and me and my bike and looking forward to our 8 mile ride home later. Evans stores and staff are great! Thanks again Tom! Charlie

Had a great experience of service today. My bike chain had come off and was firmly wedged so that I couldn't get it back on again. Luckily I was near Evans so went in to ask for help. A friendly member of staff (Paul) stopped what he was doing and quickly sorted my chain out for free. Really helpful and hugely appreciated!

Very happy with my recent visit! I blew a tyre cycling along the Embankment and gave them a call, they said that I brought it in immediately they’d be able to set me up with a new inner and tyre in about 15mins. True to their word, I was back on the road in about 13! ???? Mid-week it can be a touch tricky to get them on the phone, so best to pop in in person.

Really nice chap downstairs checked out the problem with my brake and fixed it with a part from an old bike they had in their stock room. No charge. Then put my seat in the right position and gave me advice on when to have it serviced. Again, no charge. Takes a little while to be served because the store is so busy, but staff very helpful when they have capacity to be!

Visited on a Saturday morning in September. Only customer in the store. Explained to the man on reception that, as a new cyclist with a second hand bike, I needed advice on basics such as lights and cleats. The man gave rather rudimentary and unfriendly answers. When I asked him about purchase options regarding lights, he brusquely pointed me to the far section of the store without moving or giving the impression he was willing to help or to advise any further. Spent some time looking at the items. A good selection, although generally expensive and quite a lot of missing stock had not been replenished. No member of staff came over or seemed interested in my presence. Various workers huddled in the corner chatting without paying me any attention. Left the store without making a purchase, feeling as if I had been given the cold shoulder. Unsurprisingly, nobody said anything as I went through the door. I'll be making my purchases with other retailers or online.

I wanted to purchase my first 'professional' bike in my life but didn't really have much information on what is the best for me or for the use that I need it for (commute/weekend trips/triathlon) I called Evans multiple times in the past 3 weeks with mainly no luck. I have managed to speak to 2 people from the St Pauls staff ( Moira and a gentleman that didn't give his name ) It's insane how different experience you can have just based on the sales advisor you speak to! Moira has been the best, most helpful and knowledgeable person I have spoken to in a very long time, she listened to what I needed and advised me accordingly, she definitely went the EXTRA MILE! Second time I called the gentlemen refused to help me and kept pushing me to process my cycle to work voucher online and even explaining to him that the bike is not available online only in store he just told me to visit the store (during covid-19) So I tried calling again and luckily Moira answered the phone, she kindly helped me and swapped my initial bike to the one that I wanted ( same bike in different colour) I just want to thank you again to Moira, you have been an absolute star and hope Evans will appreciate your hard work! THANK YOU!
