Couldn't be happier with Stafford, I got a virtually new high spec transit and the service was quick, polite and easy. Even better, I was in a panic as I couldn't find my driving licence at the last minute (always keep it safe, or so I thought!) and they were very accommodating. I called DVLA to get my account flagged and then they called DVLA to confirm I indeed did have a full licence. Panic over and I was able to collect my daughter from university with all her many things! Would definitely use again.

Excellent car and van hire company, with that all important human touch.
I got a small van from here, and because of my uncertainty regarding its suitability, the lady in charge (Angel), got a tape measure and insisted we measure it properly. You don't get that kind of kindness in the usual hire companies.
The checking-out process was simple, and I was treated with kindness not suspicion. In my opinion, this sets off the whole rental on a good foot. They were actually good value for money, but even if they weren't on a future occasion, I would rather go here than a large chain.
Highly recommended.

Excellent service and vehicle hire. HLP full , friendly staff who dealt with my enquiry and booking quickly and efficiently. Vehicle hired was very reliable and comfortable to drive and despite being a small van was able to accommodate a lot in the back of the van. Have used Strafford to hire vehicles before and will do so again in the future.

We hired a self drive minibus from Strafford’s to transport our office to a team building event. They were the only company we could find who offer 17 seater lightweight minibuses which can be driven on a normal car licence... the bus we were supplied with was a 2019 model with sat nav and air conditioning - we couldn’t really ask for any more! Not only was Strafford the best service and initial feeling on the phone, their price was actually slightly less than the competition which we know from experience offer far older models. We will now only consider Strafford self drive for event transport moving forward.

5 star service from a brilliant local company. I have used Strafford quite a few times now always been totally delighted so thought I would give credit in writing. Every van they have ever given me has been top notch, virtually new and at a great price. This Saturday I had a nice near new Transit at £50 cheaper than Enterprise, the staff were so friendly, honestly why would you rent from anywhere else? Keep the good work up guys! ****** stars !

Be Careful I hired a car in 2016, got a parking fine for the car hired to someone else in 2017 thought I had sorted it with Strafford but I now have High Court Enforcement notice of debt recovery I have been stiched up by this firm do not use them!!!!!

I don't own a car, so hired a vehicle from Strafford for a week's family holiday in Scotland. As I booked quite a long time in advance, I got a great price. We had a diesel estate car - over 100,000 miles on the clock, but it ran very well, and very economically on our long drive. Our customer service experience was also positive: on the phone and in person, when picking up and returning the car.
I'd definitely use Strafford again.

Been going there for 8 years. The rental car service is spot on. Very professional. Great choice of cars and vans well looked after. Book online asap for a discount.
The MOT and mechanics part of it are just as good. Very friendly and experienced. They went out of their way to fix my 28 year old car last year.

I am a Strafford regular having got rid of my car a few years ago and now just hire what I need when I need it. Strafford always have a good range of cars and vans available for a fair price through the online booking and no hidden extras that so many of the large car hire companies try and sneak in. And if something goes wrong you can rely on them to help you out. Happy to support a local firm!

I needed a large van to help my friend move house as my vehicle was too small for the job, I phoned Strafford Self Drive and was greeted by a friendly and helpful person, who understood my situation and had a vehicle for me to hire that day.
I turned up at the depot and was greeted by the receptionist and all the paperwork was done, they showed me around the vehicle, then I was on my way.
I returned the vehicle in the evening on the same day. The service for the money that I paid was very good, and the staff are extremely polite and helpful.
Thank you ever so much for such an easy pleasant service, I would happily recommend Strafford Self Drive.

Thanks so much to Stratford in Brighton for sorting me out with a decent car while I was visiting the south of England. A BMW 140i was supplied at a very good price. The service was great and even though I scratched a wheel they only charged me £60 which is actually less than what it would have cost me if I owned the car. Very impressed.

I have used Strafford self drive for the third occasion now.
The third time was the most memorable when I had family over last week, I needed a comfortable saloon, and they surprised me with a bmw 520D , Automatic, Diesel in white , on the motorway returned approx 50MPG and it was an awesome car to drive and again at an affordable rate.
These guys do more than just hire. They sell amazing cars, caravans, vans... I always look forward to visiting them.

P.s to others reading this, you can have a spray of top perfumes in their toilet facilities.
