Hired a Boxer for the day. It was cheap and in excellent condition, including the interior. Only problem was that the seat on the van didn't go all the way back. Graham in the yard sorted it with a work around. The lady in the office is nice too.

Clean van but empty of diesel on collection. £100 deposit was not refunded and despite 2 call I was told after a week that I had to contact my bank to get the money back! I rang the bank who said that Choice Van rental only had to press a release button to get my money refunded my bank refunded it immediately so why oh why did they keep the money for a week very disappointed with them!

I always use Choice, after doing lots of research online for deals and offers, these guys always work out cheapest and most reliable. Picked up a car from Hove at short notice, great customer service & easy hire process (online in advance), relatively low deposit compared to other places. Would highly recommend!

My first time using Choice Van Rentals and frankly it will be my last. I asked for a tail lift Luton (as I have to carry a 200kg piece of equipment) and was allocated one for 2 days. When I got to the Hove branch the chap who dealt with me couldn’t be bothered to offer anything like customer service and didn’t even invite me to walk around and inspect the vehicle. As I was under time pressure I just jumped in and drove off to my factory in Lancing. When I got there I then realised I’d been given a low loader. So I had to drive back to Hove to swap, but this caused a real headache for the lady (who had taken over). But, she did it – and she’s the only reason I give 2 stars. So, I got in my vehicle, which was grubby on the outside and the same on the inside, but again I had no time to complain at the time as I was under severe time pressure now.
Off I went to Leeds then to find the vans have a limiter, capped at 67mph (according to my satnav – which is more accurate than the speedometer). So overtaking on the quiet motorways was a continual headache.
When I returned I was charged for the low loader – having driven it 30 miles! First off, that was their mistake and second, Hove to Lancing and back is 10 miles.
An argument ensued and it was noted my charge was rescinded. But I’m still out of pocket having paid extra money for the low loader I never ordered.
So I strongly advise if you want poor customer service with surly staff (but not that one lady who helped), dirty vans with a limiter on them, to be charged extra when you haven’t asked for it, to have to argue over matters that were NOT your fault then do use Choice.
If, however, you don’t want those things, look elsewhere.
I shall not be returning.

Phoned this company needing a vehicle quickly and a very rude woman answered and when I asked for a Large SUV she kept on offering me cars like a fiesta etc and when I asked if she knew what an SUV was she hung up. Horrendous company.

Recommend to all who are looking to hire a vehicle, all marks etc on the vehicle where recorded and a walk around done before handing over the keys. Also given a 1on1 on how everything worked on the vehicle, really friendly chap who done it. When I popped a question about the vehicle I did not get a negative reaction either, nor did he react as if I was being an inconvenience.
Was easy to drop off even out of hours, and staff was really friendly and helpful even when I had arrived at the wrong office.
Really good pricing for the hire of the vehicles, and probably hard to beat these with regards to service and price.

Good luck trying to get your £100 deposit back. First time I hired, they forgot. Second time we're two weeks in and I'm waiting for the 'director's approval' for the refund, yet no one knows when he will next return to the office.

Since moving to Brighton I have used Choice. They have given me the best options for to me move house, transport equipment and see family and friends.
The staff at Choice have always been kind to me, understanding, friendly and provided me with a top service. I once went to another competitor who were not so kind, and since then I've never had a second thought about using Choice.
Top people, kind staff always smiling and having a joke with me as i collect my car. Fair, respectful and defiantly the best choice in the city, excuse the pun! Thanks!

Very cheap van rental. Vans are a bit battered but that’s good as there’s less fear of denting them! Staff are very nice and helpful. Office is pretty grim, and admin systems are a bit antiquated but it does the job.

You get 1 star cause there's no option to give you minus five.
If you expect to have clients and keep your business going you need a big change of attitude and standards.
Being rude to the client does not rent cars.
I hope that the company reviews the staff that is working in Hove and give them a touch of attention.

Spot on service if you need to hire a van or car. It's cheaper than the other car rental places in Brighton. The vehicles aren't new but they certainly do the job. The lady is the office is lovely to deal too, very helpful.

Very unfriendly staff and unhelpful. It took ages to do the booking once we were there and you could see that the staff was doing everything slowly on purpose, one of the staff was doing dishwashing while there was a queue of clients. Very unrespectful and rude and not efficient at all.

Used to be that they had awful offices and bored, lazy staff, but the vans were cheap, so you didn't mind. Now they just try and make money on hidden extras (£5 to check your driving license etc etc) so their USP is gone. A bit like the engines in their clapped out cars and vans. If you don't take the advice of all the people who've given them 1 star, then at least take a plastic bag to sit on as the seats are most likely to be covered in oil.

Avoid like the plague on Saturday and don't expect to be able to pick your car/van up on time. Office full of people and one person on the desk and manning the phones. Check the t&c's, they have limited milalage (competitors in the area do not) the want a print out of the new dvla licence check otherwise the is a £5 charge (unlike competitors you can do the check online and present the code, for free!) only possible reason you should go here is that it's slightly cheaper than others in the area.
