We rented the beautiful "Crafty" from Love Campers for the week before Easter. This spacious VW Crafter has been lovingly converted with a double bed, an 'upstairs' sleeping compartment big enough for two children, hob, sink, fridge, loo and even a TV - plus a huge enclosed storage space at the rear for bikes, wetsuits, surfboards, barbecues - whatever you would want to take, really! She's a joy to drive with 6-gears and full-suspension seats, and much more fuel-efficient than I expected for a van this size. Clara and Darren were really welcoming and helpful and clearly love their work. We had a great time and can't recommend enough.

Love what the team have done to help me with a self build project, absolutely brilliant finish and attention to detail. Darren is very knowledgeable and helpful. I only had one minor issue which was quickly resolved due to good communication. Would definitely return for future builds.

Darren & Clara helped us design and build a family camper and we are so happy with the result. The finish is excellent and they have been nothing but helpful even with questions on use after the build. If someone wants a build with a bit of extra creativity & TLC then give them a shout!

I was quite nervous when starting my journey with Love Campers as I was unsure of exactly what I wanted in my camper. They were infinitely patient with all my questions, and talked me through all the different options. In the end I went for a full conversion including a pop-top roof, extra windows, heating, a rocknroll bed and a kitchen area. I am so happy with my van and couldn't have been more satisfied with the expertise, knowledge and great customer service from the team at Love Campers. I would thoroughly recommend Love Campers to anyone looking for that little bit extra of a really personal service.

We bought a petrol VW Caddy from a VW garage after advice from Darren (of Love Campers) and from someone he recommended. The conversion by Love Campers was the basic Mandalay version with some extras, including compression fridge, solar panel, roof bars and a re-spray. We chose to have the units built in wood. We are very happy with the finished product, with the quality of materials and workmanship. Darren and Clara and the team have all been very helpful and lovely people to deal with. They have been efficient, approachable, infinitely patient, when there are always choices and specific requests to be made, and clearly enjoy the conversion work. Everyone to whom we have shown the interior of the van thinks the conversion has been done beautifully. We can highly recommend Love Campers,

We had a lovely weekend in one of Love Campers' vans – Crafty, which has been imaginatively and thoughtfully converted to create a comfortable and attractive space to sit, sleep, cook and eat in. We're used to camping in tents, so it was a luxury to turn up at the campsite without having to do anything apart from plug in the electric cable, put on the kettle and relax with a cup of tea.

We were four people and rented "The Snail" for three nights and it was a great experience! Affordable price, comfortable van with almost anything you may need (kitchen, utensils, comfy sofas and beds, blankets, covers, toilet, and even some spices and olive oil!.
As the name reminds you, is slow on the road, but will not leave you stranded! Perfect for 4 or less people.
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the need to plug it in at a camping or somewhere like that to obtain power in the refrigerator and the hassles it was for us to make all arrangements since their insurance put a lot of troubles with EU driving licenses, but it was amazing apart from that!

We stayed for 3 nights in Crafty. Booking was easy with Clara very responsive and Darren was on hand at the yard to talk me through everything. They answered lots of our questions as complete newbies to campervanning, and were patient throughout!
Crafty was superb - a big beast of a van which cantors along nicely, but still fits into carparks in country pubs. The chemical toilet and solar charging meant we could stay at pretty much any campsite we chose, and the room in the back for our kids' bikes meant they were out and about by 7.30am most mornings. Very recommended!

My rating is based on whether I would have Love Campers convert our Ford Transit campervan if we had our time again. And we would say, absolutely not.
Terrible communication, not one example layout of intended finished conversion, last minute decisions, horrendous finishing, delayed project handover, no itemised list for the van, no Gas Safe certification, no real support on V5C Registration - the list goes on and on. It has been really poor the whole way through.
Unfortunately this seems to be a trend in the business of lack of care for the paying Customer and exarcebated by even less project management capabilty.
I imagine however (for the benefit of the doubt), if you can have time up your sleeve, be hyper vigilante on project design and communication and Darren is solely focussed on your build, you will get an acceptable result on a simple build.
There are defitinely better options out there for a one off build, so do your research and avoid unless you are absolutely certain you can get what you are paying for.
