Very professional, took my A Class in for a noise when braking they had diagnosed it and got me a price within half hour. Left the car with them and had it back within 2 hours. I took my merc ml 2008 to two other garages ( which they could not sort problem ) before i got told about A J Robertson. They found the fault and sorted the issues with it, within 24hrs. Since then i have taken my car there for service and mot work. would recommend highly, garage you can trust..... thanks guys

It’s like throwing good money after bad!
Alan Robertson does not seem to be involved with the company anymore though they still bear his name,
June 2018 our 14 year old BMW went in to A J Robertson and basically needed a new engine. The car was worth less than 2k at the time but due to personal finances we could not afford to replace the car so we paid almost that to have a new engine fitted. We got the car back 9 weeks later!!
Four weeks on the radiator gets a hole in it, back to A J Robertson / another £400.
2 DAYS later - car has to be recovered by AA - overheated on way to Eastbourne - AA say that the hoses were not connected correctly to the radiator. AA cannot guarantee that the seal between the head gasket and the engine has not been damaged so we could possibly have engine damage on our 2 month old engine!!

Avoid this place. Had our Mercedes for over 2 months for small repair. Never fixed the problem. Staff now sacked but car just returned bodywork damaged and not working order.

Super to find a independent BMW garage in hove, i cant stand going to main dealer to be ripped off. I've been using Alan for years, and what he doesn't know about BMW or Mercedes cars isn't worth knowing. He solves all the problems first time, and offers a great service for a fair price. He's also equally as good with any car, from my M5, to our Honda runaround to the classic RX-7 I used to have.

Took my Mercedes C220 to this garage a couple of times and it was ok. I started suffering problems with my turbo cutting out after 5 minutes. Upshot was A J Robertson misdiagnosed the fault and I paid for £1400 for a new turbo. When this did not solve it they were unable to work out what the actual problem was in spite of me taking it in 3 further times. They seemed very uninterested and wasted my time when I booked the car into them. I eventually found another independent who found the actual problem within 15 minutes a hole in the intercooler for the turbo.
For me poor service, lack of genuine knowledge on my make and model and just plugged it into the computer and replaced the parts it said without thinking which is what the dealership does.
Will not go back.

Total rip off merchants! I took my car in for an oil change and they undertook and charged me for: a service, some part replacement and even screen wash top-up (supposedly 1L even though I'd filled it 3 days beforehand) without consulting me first. Avoid like the plague!!!
