My wife applied for a blue badge parking permit. After 3 weeks she sent an email to check on progress ( it's not possible to phone them) they phoned back to say they did not have the application even though they had confirmed receipt of it. Even though she was unable to walk unaided they wanted her to be assessed. When she died I had a letter within 5 days complaining that pass had not been returned. Zero stars is what they should get.

If you cannot find parking on your own road as a resident you will be attacked with parking fines because they don’t offer permits on your road. If you do manage to find parking you will trapped and hit with multiple parking fines on the high street. Pretty clear to see after some online reading that this is definitely a massive source of income for the council. Looks like a problem here and would be interested to understand exactly how much they are making from car/road related fines.

No contact option. I've moved house. Now living in different district, renting a room with all bills included and Harrow Council says I still need to pay a council tax in amount £1600. That's sick. I'm not gonna pay you even a p penny ypu thieves.

Google need to add zero stars for services like this, one star actually gives the allusion that they at least do something's right. One of the most corrupt and inefficient councils in all of London, can't even send out the booking for a covid test! My partner's confirmation was sent immediately, tried several different emails. Nothing will ever get done to change this council lived here most of my life and they are still useless. Still waiting on a replacement bin 3 years later, still waiting for them to do something about my neighbor fly tipping or over crowding her house. Harrow council should be closed and running of the area should be moved to a more effective neighboring borough.

Unresponsive! We've moved out the borough of Harrow and I should be credited for the extra council tax I had paid. I filled out the necessary forms on the same day I got the requests via post. During this process, I have tried calling multiple times to ask questions but you can never get through to anyone, the whole country has managed to get back to work and bring some normality but this council still are using Covid as an excuse for not having anyone to speak to on the phone, its shocking. I managed to find a generic email on there website and have reached out 3 times with no response. On top of that, their website is awful, unhelpful and doesn't provide extensive answers to very normal questions that I had. Surely, they need to have a better service and respond to the people that they were hired to support. If they were an independent private business they wouldn't last 2 minutes due to their lack of communication with their end customers. Always the case, quick to take money of you and then ages to give it back.... assuming they giving it back!

Beyond a joke. Virtually impossible to contact.They just want to fleece people. Now they have built a cycle lane off Northwick Park roundabout causing traffic chaos . I support more cycle lanes but this was obviously done without proper consultation or research .

Keep away. This council is the most terrible. They don't have a direct number. Their systems are very slow. Their procedures are a total failure. Executives working here think they are super smart and think that the systems in place are working well and robust. Council Tax PCN or any other services are not functioning well. They claim to be diverse, but i think because of the huge Indian work force, they're attitude and work ethics are the same as India. Total Disaster. They should be ashamed and move on and know they live in England not India.

Worst council ever . They just want to be difficult for everything. So many things they do wrongly which other councils are doing so easily. This people either dont want to work. Or they dont know how work have to be done. Even they have not issued grant to any business till date . And rejecting them without reason. Even they got money from Government for this grants in march. I hope everyone report them to Mayor of london and Rishi suchak .

Their automated phone system options are limited and make it difficult to be put through to the correct department. When I did speak to someone they put me on hold and then hung up. The 2 question after-call survey didn't even work. I pity the residents who live in the borough,and thank my lucky stars I don't. I dare not think what their services are like.It's made me really appreciate my council.

Totally useless systems and staff, a public disgrace, very sad. Volunteers would be more polite , well informed and helpful. Please people of Harrow, vote for a better council !! One star is given to Waste Deposal staff who sorted out an issues last year with politeness, intelligence and effective action.

Don’t live in Harrow! Not sure why the government in England, especially in London, charges people crazy amounts of taxes. What do they give the public in return? Harrow lacks facilities that other boroughs provide. Ie, Brent offers so much to families, from gyms to huge mall to after school location for children. Houses on the hill are congested and area built so depressing. Bills are sky rocketing. Harrow council lacks a good communication amongst its team and with the public. Edited: Harrow council finally corrected the issue. And it wasn't an easy fight. They turned out professional but lack manpower. So raised the stars up. People here commenting about WHOLE INDIAN WORK FORCE - racist comments, aren't true. None of the people I dealt with over the phone were Indians. They were mostly Irish or Brits. People should stop generalizing.

Harrow council are a total shambles, honestly I have nothing positive to say. They have no problem charging residents amongst the highest CTax fees in the country but are unable to provide a service anywhere closely relative to that fee. From adding all day unreasonable parking restrictions on residential roads, fining drivers wherever possible, missing bin collections, damaging bins, not keeping roads in good order and filling pot holes when they become dangerous, not being able to speak to a human when you have a problem that needs to be addressed urgently.. and if you miraculously do, then it's usually to someone that has been trained in being rude and ill mannered.. Seriously, the list goes on and on. The latest annoyance is being turned away at the recycling centre with a car full of rubbish, despite there being no queues (literally couldn't see one car in front of me) and being asked to "book an appointment" for a week later. Not been communicated this before and it seems that harrow council figure out a new idea to save money at the expense and detriment of hard working residents on a weekly basis. An absolute disgrace!

I have never had a worse experience in my life. I had to deal with several people from the office to check my papers. I have been asked to pay two months of council tax from 5 years ago when I was not even living to that addresses. I have sent them all the proves but they don't even bother themselves to check properly. I had so much stress and wasting time dealing with belief as they were about to come to my house and take stuff for £2000. After I sorted out this problem the case was finally closed but guess what I have received another paper from the same year but different timing for another amount. I hope none of you guys will have the same experience as I had because I cannot believe those people are even working there. I am still shocked by their approach.

Harrow Council are an absolute disgrace. If I pay my council tax late I would be in trouble but they regularly collect bins late and there's no way to hold them to account! And good luck to anyone trying to get through to report anything on the phone, you'll be on hold for 1-2 hours just to speak to someone.

They do not care at all about residents, they seem to operate in a way lacking transparency when dealing with serious concerns. They seem to prioritise making resident's lives worse with every decision their incompotent staff make and they should be ashamed on themselves. A disgrace. Seems a little racist by the looks staff gave when Had my registry. The certificate if you call it that, I mean a 3 year old child would have clear hand writing! Worst council in UK and v expensive council tax. Have to pay £75+ to empty garden waste bins on top of £1660+ council tax per annum. Don't let you off parking tickets even if you're dying with painful illness! Disgraceful and totally disgusting council, sorry I didn't move to Barnet or even Brent!

Harrow PCN dept is an absolute disgrace and so lazy. I have told them numerous times and by sending letters back saying person not at this address but they are so unintelligent they don’t understand what that means so to make it easier for them I told them to contact the owners car insurance company because the guy they are chasing sold the property and didn’t update DVLA but no they still want to keep writing to me. Brent Council and Camden Council understood and dealt with it promptly. Its harassment and I am going to start invoicing Harrow council for my time. They could check the land registry but they have such a easy job why bother thinking! I do feel sorry for anyone having to deal with them as I do not live in Harrow borough and I find them useless.

High council tax and extremely poor service. A key strategy = punish motorist. Be very careful when entering the council boundaries the traffic fines for minor infringements are excessive. Fees for parking in public spaces prohibitive. They wonder why the town centre is dying. High business rates ensuring limited range of retail outlets. Overpaid Council executives that don't give a hoot.

PCN issued incorrectly and confirmed by a different enforcment and appealed to the council they ignored and submitted my pcn to court and and enforcement agent while I was waiting for respond from them. they have unbelieve 52 days respond policy. Shocking service. Cannot complete online change of address form due to some error and then unable to get anyone to talk to who is a human. So basically stalemate and cannot pay my outstanding bill and transfer the account to the landlord!

Disgraceful, pathetic, totally customer unfriendly...... Words fail me. Such disgusting service Harrow Council is providing for the bins collection service. Reporting system is terrible. Mina was so rude on the phone and she actually dropped the call after that. How can Harrow Council be run with people like her and with the kind of service she is giving to Harrow residents. What a bloody useless council!!! The website doesn't have the information you need, no one answers the bloody phone and when you do get through they either don't have a clue or refer you. Our bins have been collected once, yes once in 4 weeks! It's disgraceful, I've been on hold for an hour now and I know the whoever I talk to at the other end will do sweet FA to resolve it. This is despite the hike in council tax again this year. What purpose does the council have if it can't even provide basic services!

Rubbish , I moved out of the property to another one nearby in same council , they opened the new account same day and started charging me immediately , but did not close the old account and when I cancel the DD after overpaying for a month rather than refunding me they are sending notices . try to reach them but no response , all employee are busy with priority covid-19 service . The only department working seems to collections department sending notices .

Houses in this area are being built by too many unqualified and unregulated builders that have no idea about Health and Safety and have no clue to the regulations that need to be complied with.. The houses are then allowed to be rented. BAD LANDLORDS, BAD TENNANT, WORST COUNCIL'S
