awful, one of the most frustrating experiences of my life, the waiting line stretched all around the little ipads that didnt work, staff looked just as confused as customers. made it look flashy but 40 minutes waiting in a line i can definatly tell that this system redesign is huge mistake

This Edgware Road store is newly refurbished, bright and airy and packed with new search and order terminals for customer use. The only spoiler is that each time I have gone in to use the facilities, it is also packed with frustrated, angry customers. The core problem is that the customer experience does not seem to have been thought through. I reserved my item online and as I live just around the corner, thought it would be a quick, efficient process to go in and collect. Oh dear! There was a huge queue and after looking around decided to go to the fast track. I had shouts of derision as a number of others' in the queue who were also fast track customers; all had been waiting an age. Fast Track?! I joined the end of the long line and as the store is open plan, people were confused as to whether they should join the line or just approach a terminal. This happened a few times and the staff were not redirecting the customers: again to the shouts of customers in the lines who were now at fuming point. In the past, I've been able to use a quick pay terminal and the item will be collected and distributed at the counter. In this brave new layout, these terminals are no longer installed, so cannot be used. The theory is that you now pay online and simply collect; but if the fast track does not work and there is no collection only point, you end up queuing with everybody else and there is no advantage whatever. It also means the store is full of people who have paid and are waiting for their item to arrive. They clutter up the store, cause more confusion and make it difficult to see who is queuing, waiting or just browsing. In the past there was a terminal updating on the sorting process, so you at least had a feeling of progressing. This is no longer installed, so there is no customer communication, just confusion. The whole system is such a mess it makes the whole shopping experience inefficient and decidedly unpleasant. Many people just walked out as I was there, shouted at staff (who were doing their best) and I was contemplating doing the same. During my stew, I considered going to Rymans, which is directly opposite and paying considerably more, just to get served in a pleasant timely manner. Come on Argos, this is what you do. How can you get it so wrong?

Extremely busy in store due to the new layout most of the time I go in in there I have to wait 10 minutes average and then you have to go and collect it at a other point which is a further 10 minutes! Seems not all the staff are nice too

Rude employee, incredibly horrible, I ordered a product for collection, when I arrived the 1st thing she did was ask me for id, can a man not groom himself to look neat and tidy without being viewed as someone who's young. When did someone need id to purchase a product such as poker chips. This company policy is utter rubbish, you can buy grooming pieces without any id that can be used to self inflict yourself or someone else. Yet poker chips, different story, it's apparently more harmful to others. Well, here's to the future, amazon prime here we go. Just advice, or an insult, Amazon prime, here I go, I won't be needing any id to purchase something like this will I now? However this only ended me in waiting 0 days + paying a fee to get a delivery today and ended with your store having a negative feedback. I do hope it was worth it. The only store where they know how to mistreat people in terms of service, never greet customers or anything of the sorts.
