I fully appreciate all the Covid restrictions, but I chose, bought and paid for my purchase online. Why did it take 20 minutes from arrival at the store to collection of the product. There should be one fast track queue for collecting only, and another for queries. I deliberately chose your bricks and mortar store rather than Amazon. Never again.

The staff here are always pleasant and helpful in the Balham Halfords, and it has been set up for social distance shopping. I normally order online and then pick up in store to avoid hanging around too long.

Some staff in this store are amazing but others are more interested in conversation with each other then with the customer I recently came in to collect the bike took me 20 minutes for a member of staff to speak to me and ask me what I was looking for I am the member of staff I did have was very informative and was very active with me and was very helpful good experience with certain staff bad experience with others

Bit of a wait to get served but the staff went above and beyond to rectify an error I made in ordering. Alan helped me today and was really friendly and gave me loads of time. Interacted with several other staff members who were all friendly. Great staff.

First review I've ever written. Two days ago, I was assisted by John. This was the best customer service I have ever received in my life. When I wanted a change in my order, he was patient with me and didn't make me feel like I was bothering him, unlike the staff member that assisted me beforehand. Friendly, fast and efficient.

Great support when we were fitting some new wiper blades. Very efficient and friendly staff helped replace a broken clip. Also gave a tip that you should never leave the windscreen wipers up without holding them as they can snap back and break the glass!

I’d give zero stars if I could. Got to the store, tried to check in. The guy at the counter was working on a bike and just ignored me. I asked if I could check my bike in. He nodded and said give me a minute. I waited patiently as I thought he would just finish doing what he was doing but no. He then started doing a new element. I said again if I could check in and he sent me to his colleague who then sent me straight back. He ignored me again. Like I was invisible. I just left and took my bike elsewhere for its £150 of work it needed. Rude, ignorant staff. Avoid

Click and collect only to be told they didn’t have part (website said they did) and that best bet was another nearby store which did have it (website said it didn’t). Told I’d need to have refund rather than transferring order to other store. Then while waiting to have my refund done was left waiting while other customers went ahead in the queue because guy serving me ‘couldn’t do refunds’ When I finally was served I was told I needed an additional part which was not mentioned on the Website despite having gone through the buying guide with my vehicle registration. But that the additional part was ‘not something we can order’. So despite offering a pay-for fitting service Halfords don’t actually sell the parts required to DO the fitting. When I pointed this out I was told the Halfords website is bad - so glad I’m not the only one that thinks so but the Halfords staff do too. Throughout the process I had staff literally talking over me to chat to each other about other things going on - it was near closing time so I understand that happens but felt like customer service was absolute last priority. I understand the issue was with Halfords presumably archaic stock and order management systems predominantly but to have staff talking over you is a shocking lack of valuing a customer which ultimately lead to me to decide to cancel the order completely and get the part I needed elsewhere. So perfect storm of - bad website (wrong stock levels) - bad website again (inaccurate buying guide) - Nonsensical stock (offering a fitting service when you don’t sell all the parts needed) - Bad customer experience (making customer take the effort of refund and reordering when halford’s mistake) - Rude staff (talking over a customer repeatedly) One (of the three) staff I spoke to was helpful and wrote down the info I needed to order elsewhere so I appreciated that but it was overall an experience indicative of archaic retail chains like Halfords being lightyears away from what consumers have come to expect in customer experience.

Dropped-in without a booking to get my car battery replaced, was served almost straight away by Faith (am sure that was her name) who was very helpful, courteous and knowledgable. Nick was able to see us straight away (good timing I suppose) and fitted the new battery with some additional checks performed for us. He was extremely knowledgable, friendly and kept me informed with what he was doing and what we needed to do to prolong the battery life. It cost less than was shown on the website so I was v.pleasantly surprised. Great team and customer experience at Halfords Balham!!

Unwelcoming staff. Went in to get my son’s bicycle stabilisers off. After taking them off the lady just threw them on the floor without saying a single word. I found that pretty rude. Otherwise quality of products is good and click and collect service is great.

I must say my visit to Halfords-Balham was very pleasant on 30-10-2020. its not often I write reviews, but the chap who repaired my grand daughters bike was brilliant, he was knowledgeable, polite and really helpful. I rate my visit that day 5 stars. It seams all the cycles were young children, he got through them in no time.

Just been in to ask if they can raise the handlebars on my sons bike. "It's not possible" the guy at the bike workshop said, "you'd be better off buying new forks instead!", "it's the wrong sort of bike". I went to the bike shop next door who explained how to do it, and then found me the part, although it was missing a pin and was the only one they had (so they're useless as well but at least they tried). Anyway, I'm off to amazon. Thanks.
