The reason I really disliked my visit is the reason I really appreciated it and will go back. I needed a new Battery for my car I queued up and requested a new battery, the assistant looked up my Car reg and told me what battery I needed, He asked if I would like it fitted I said yes this cost an extra £25 and said the fitter would be 10 mins this ended up being 40 mins (the reason i disliked my visit) While I was there I got to see the assistants serve / help 4/5 other people What I really liked was when people came up to the till with a product they checked they had the correct part / product and in 2 cases changed the item for the correct part (really good) And the reason I had to wait so long was the fitter trying to replace a light on and Audi which turned out impossible as it was LEDs and glued in . He then started on my battery, The whole time he was pleasant and helpful even though replacing the battery in my car was not easy. I also liked the way the whole store team helped each other and worked together. I must say it was far above what I was expecting from a Halfords store.

I had my front blubs changed, on Dodge caliber. If you have a dodge you know changing head light bulbs is really awkward. Really tight space. The gentleman changing the bulbs had to move water bottle, coolant and steering bottle to get to bulb holder. He had never done a dodge before, he was not fazed. Can't thank him enough.

Battery still in guarantee but refused to change. They asked me to buy new discounted or to charge the battery for 6-8 hours then to see if they fix the problem but still I have to pay even though its inside the 3 years guarantee

I've visited twice in Tier 3 and Tier 4 restrictions. They had everything I needed, but both times some staff were clearly not wearing masks properly. Numerous customers were walking in without masks on, whilst staff stood next to the door, and no one was being asked to put them on. I felt unsafe enough to bother writing a review. Irresponsible retailers like this are one of the reasons London is in Tier 4. Poor form Halfords.

Poor poor knowledge, don't know the difference between brown and beige. spent 30 mins traveling to this store as they confirmed that they had the khaki spray paint in stock, I asked them to check as the plough lane branch said they had it yet they didn't. The lady said yes we have it, I'm holding it in my hand. When I arrived to collect later after walking for 30minutes they didn't have it in stock and tried to give me a dark brown. Very very frustrated with this. So today I have spent nearly 2 hours going between different halfords to get paint that both stores have said that they have in stock and am still have nothing

Not great. Customer service was slow and patronising: a male employee seemed flabbergasted that a female cyclist could have bike tools at home (not even tools, a set of allan keys!) What year is it, 1960? Meanwhile, there are two male customers getting their inner tubes changed as they can't manage it themselves, such irony. I took my bike in for a service and was clear about things that were wrong to one employee. As I understand, the bike was then passed onto someone else and some of the jobs were not completed, one of which was gear indexing. Didn't realise until the ride home so that's not necessarily on them but should have been included really. Plenty of staff standing around (one of which clearly knew nothing about bikes or cars) but it took ages to be seen to, despite approaching two different employees. I would not come back here. Shame, as Halfords was high in my estimations previously. The bike mechanic knew his stuff (except apparently gear indexing) and got my bike done super quickly on request, get rid of everyone else.
