Asda Stepney Green Supermarket

2nd time to shop there ,unfortunately there was a fire evacuation ushered out of the store with no instructions what for do,whilst shopping staff members ambling around store in way grousing isles ,chatting and on phones I arrived about 2100 if any of the store managers want to check cuff absolutely obismal,With the self service check out I should have been better off without any one working in the store,oh just realised they were not ,I have been shopping in asda for 33 years you asked my opinion,hope this helps.

Just food, wanted ladies tights. None. Shop untidy. Man on check out refused to put my shopping through. I complained but had to go to self service where one of the assistants put my shopping through for me and I was grateful. I hate self service check out. Noone will have a job soon. There is no discount for serving myself and the money saved just goes to shareholders not staff. Everyone just does as they're told. I hate the stupid voice telling me unexpected item in the bagging area'. Self service wastes my time. I have to put my handbag on the filthy floor because I get that stupid message if I put it on the bagging area. Don't use self service. People need jobs.

CARD PAYMENT FRAUD! I was chased down in the carpark. Escorted back to store to prove that I paid for my shopping. Given that i paid by card and the card machine said 'Transaction complete. Remove card.' I was distraught and humiliated in store where 2 security guards, 2 customer services assistant and later on the assumed store manager constantly told me that i have to pay for the items. Since i was sure i already paid for them, i called my back who confirmed that my last transaction with Asda stores has been authorised. I told the store manger to talk to my bank who refused. I told him that I am not willing to pay for something I already paid for and was confirmed by my bank to be paid for. He said he is aware that the payment might be on a holding account but as far as he is concerned I will not be allowed to leave the store with the stuff (that i just paid for) unless i pay for them (again). I asked my bank to cancel the payment, left the entire shopping behind and NEVER GOING to go BACK. Their staff is incompetent and rude, and their system is inadequate. I wonder how many people are forced to pay for their groceries twice?!! AVOID AT ALL COST!

The smallest Asda I have seen. The size is smaller than Whitechapel Sainsbury's bit larger than Tesco Metro on Field gate street. Limited size means there are limited products. Just to grasp the size of the place it only has one half aisle of freezer items. The location is good as there is parking.

No qualms with the store itself Asda is Asda!!!! My experience is with the person who done my George return named "Lyn" absolutely rude and abrupt person. Don't know what her problem was or she probably doesn't like working in Asda in the morning.......That woman has a face or a thunder all the time as I've seen her before. A local shopper.

Since I moved to East London this has been my everyday shopping place.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I phoned yesterday before arriving at this place. I called customer services in order to enquire if they sold seeds to grow plants. Some very uninterested girl answered the phone and said 'yes, we sell seeds'. I took a train and arrived only to find that they don't. This girl lied and wasted my time. Why would you do that. Never going back. If you do that to every customer guess what... they'll only walk to Sainsbury like I did. I spend approx 250 - 350 per month on express types stored. In a year that's over 2500. If that idiot loses you 100 customers that's a loss of 250000 or worse imagine 1000 customers. That's 2.5 m

Great place for everyday shopping with free 2 hour parking ????

Where do I start? This is the most unfriendliest Asda store I have ever been to. The staff here are extremely rude! Customer service there is non existent! I went in there with my partner and we left there feeling like we had just been bullied out of the store. While we were waiting in the queue to pay for our items one of the workers called Parveen started to shout at us to go to the self service tills. We told her that we were o.k standing in the queue because we were next in line to which she replied 'Why?' And 'what are you gonna stand in the queue all day?' She had such an attitude on her and her body language was so unprofessional and aggressive. She then continued to shout at us in front of all the customers and the security guard also started to run towards us almost in a provoking manner. She continued to shout and none of the other workers came to calm her or the situation down. We then asked the girl who was serving us to call the manager over and she told us that there was no manager. We then said to her you saw what happened, why is your colleague behaving like this towards us when all we said was we preferred to wait in line? She then denied seeing what had just happened and told us to drop it. She then went on to tell us that Parveen was her supervisor, we realised then that all the workers were tip toeing around this Parveen and not helping us because they didn't want to be confronted by her. We then went to customer services and the man who was standing there seemed anxious to even speak to us because he was obviously warned by Parveen and the security guard not to help us. When we asked him about the complaints procedure he printed out an empty asda reciept and told us to write our complaint on the back. We couldn't believe that this is how they dealt with a customer complaint. While we were writing our complaint on the back of the reciept Parveen then comes on the till next to us and while serving a customer starts shouting at us 'Yeah, go on. Go on and complain. Make sure you write this and that!' Like as if we weren't shaken up already by this whole situation she comes and makes threatening remarks. We then asked her what her problem was and she continued to mouth off. Some of the workers came and surrounded us and did nothing to help us, in fact they were telling us to calm down!!! We were being harassed and bullied. Just then the customer service guy told us that Craig the manager had just walked in and I told him to call him over to which he said 'Erm... you should call him over' My partner had to get the manager's attention. The manager came over and told us that he had already heard Parveen's version of what happened. Wow, he'd only just walked in and they had already filled him in with their version of the story. We explained what actually happened and he told us that he would look into it and they take these customer complaints seriously. We showed him our 'complaints reciept' and asked him if his was how they recorded complaints and he looked really shocked and said 'No' this isn't how we take customer complaints' at that point that guy on the customer service til nervously grins and said 'Oh. I couldn't find the complaints book'. And APPARENTLY this was the first time that he had ever received a complaint about a staff member. Well obviously if your complaint procedure is to get customers to write on the back of a reciept which they can later chuck on the bin, how will the complaints ever get heard or recorded!!???! In the end we left the store feeling absolutely astonished! What had just happened? We went in to grab a few items but left with feelings of abuse and frustration. Our evening was destroyed. We were left utterly bewildered. We made a mistake stepping into that store. Never again will we be visiting here again, no thank you, we don't and didn't need such aggravation! There are plenty of other retail stores around to shop at. Be warned people when visiting this Asda store at the Anchor Retail Park in Mile End Road, Stepney Green!

2nd time trying to get a home delivery, both times, no one came. No one contacted me, and on calling customer services, was told, delivery man came, and no one was at home. I was at home, with my partner, waiting, both times for 4 hours. What a colossal waste of time for everyone. The actual branch has very little staff, and though they have a number of tills, only one is normally manned.

I would give less rating if I could. Staff are very RUDE and there is no complaints procedure, staff name PARVEEN is very very rude and aggressive. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS

I just tried calling this store and there is obviously a problem with how it has been set up as you cannot be connected to anyone even after selecting the customer option. For a smaller store, it's not bad at all.

People who are complaining about the limited product availability, this isn't a ASDA superstore. Good range for the size.

Worse place I ever have shopping not going there anymore. Not good service, they are aganist to customers they behaves.

Staff was very helpful in searching for an item that wasn't on the shelf.

Poor and horrible service. Do you close at 23:00 or at 22:50? At 22:50 the doors already closed and it’s not the first time. Employees fighting with customers because they wanna entry at 22:55. Pathetic...

Small ASDA has some of the essentials and variety including some halal meats/chicken but not a wide variety. Missed the smaller sports bottles of water eg nestles 10pack w they sell for under £2 in their other ASDA stores. Parking max 2hrs.

A supermarket with good off road parking

Medium sized supermarket, full range of shopping including some home and kitchen items (brooms, mops, sauce pans etc) plenty of parking.

Very poor service, even at busy times they have only 1 till open hate waiting, No toilets for customers.
