When I first came here, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to walk again, but I got with Bruce and Nikki in therapy and they got me to walk. Now all I can do is smile and walk around. Everyone that is in therapy is like a family, they work so well with you and won’t let you fall. If I needed therapy again, I would come here instead of going anywhere else.

People here are kind and patient. They motivated me to want to try to do more. The equipment in the gym helped a lot. I don’t limp anymore, I walk well. I got stronger and am going home. Food is great.

I highly recommend Beaufont. PT and OT was the best! When I got here I was in so much pain, all I could do was look out the window. Now I am able to move around. It’s amazing, I can walk again and be home for the holidays. Thank you!

Prospective patients and families should know this is by far the best rehab facility around! I have been to several in the area. Everyone of the Beaufont staff that I have come into contact with are very nice. Prompt service from the call bell. Nurses and rehab therapists are patient. Beaufont is a quiet and pleasant place to recover. Food is excellent.

I am a newer long term resident here at Beaufont. I'm enjoying my stay and my family is close by! Everyone is very friendly and knows my name. When I needed help working my computer, the activities director Isabel and many others staff were happy to help. The other residents are really nice and easy to get along with. I feel fortunate to be here!

I really do like it here. I am here for short term rehab and the staff are extremely accommodating. The food is way better than one would expect for it to be. It is a lively center with a lot of activities, which I love. I even called the Richmond Times Dispatch to have them come in and do a story of this wonderful center. I highly recommend Beaufont!

My mother was a patient here for a few weeks. I had to remove my mother from here because she fell 5 times due to no one paying attention to her. The food was always cold and caregivers were really rude and disrespectful. My mother was in room 56A at the time her belongings was always being taken from her and her money was stolen from her. I talked to the administrator and admissions department about this matter and nothing was solved. I believe the names were Ally’s or Allison and also Sarah. I tried to give this building the benefit of the doubt because we lived about 15 minutes from there but when I seen how badly and poorly my mother was getting treat I had to remove her from that horrible place. This is not a place you would want your love one to be at. I reported them multiple times to the state board but it seems like they haven’t solved the issue at hand.

Simply put, I love it here. When I received my long term care Medicaid, I requested to come to Beaufont and only Beaufont. I was here for a shorter stay awhile back, and I could not have been happier with the experience. The people that work here from nursing to the administrative team are the sweetest, kindest individuals that really are dedicated to providing good care.

Beaufont is excellent! I am a short term patient here receiving therapy and I am so pleased with my progress. The therapists are the best in town and the nursing staff are compassionate and kind. My son comes to visit every day and always comments on how clean and airy the building feels. He has even said that if he needed rehab, he would not go anywhere else but Beaufont!

The rehab gym Pts and OTs are excellent and professional. CNAs and nurses are good and attentive. Facility is very clean. Activity room. Is exciting always something to do. Dining area food was good. This review is coming from Mrs. Conchita Chavez and myself. Mrs. Chavez's husband Jerry stayed at this rehab facility for two months and 6 days. During his stay, Mrs Chavez and I were pleased with the total care porovided by all healthcare departments of this facility. Starting from pre- admission we were greeted well and given a tour of the facility by Allison Hallberg. She was very thorough and answered all our questions regarding care provided. The Director of Nursing Francesca Iyenger has been instrumental in running the Nursing department. She went out of her way to ensure Jerry attended his 50th Wedding Anniversary. The Nursing staff are very friendly and caring to meet his healthcare needs and medications. The OT and PT Department did an excellent job in ensuring Jerry progressed his physical abilities, even with Jerry's inability to speak due to previous stroke. Tiffany Parker OT and Bruce Hall PT and staff provided an excellent care, did home visit evaluation and eventually lead to Jerry's discharge to home. Isabel Tabadero from Activities department worked with Jerry one on one and very patiently to participate in group activities. Ms. Tabadero is very caring and attentive to Jerry's social needs. Sarah Traylor, Discharge Planning Director answered all our questions regarding discharge and medical equipment needs. In conclusion we rated the overall care of this facility Five Star becuase of the above descriptions. As a retired Healthcare Administrator, I was impressed with the care of staff and cleanliness of this facility. Thank you and we are grateful for the services provided not only to Jerry but to the family as well.

UPDATE!! As requested, I called and left a message for an administrator to call me about this review....NEVER received a return phone call!! I'm the 1 who signed all paperwork when my dad was admitted as he was not able to sign for himself but they don't know who I am??? Isn't that convenient!!!
This place needs to be shut down!! Can't get the doctor or nurses to answer the phone when you need them to. I had to leave work to check on my father to see what was really going on!! When I got there, he was not responsive! Had to argue with them to have him transported back to the hospital where it was discovered he was bleeding internally!! After a 10 day hospital stay, I can assure you he didn't return to this dreadful place!! I've left a previous review which has mysteriously disappeared!

So far I can not complain. Here at Beaufont it is a clean and organized rehab. I have only been in orientation however the staff here are friendly and helpful. Shawn Parker has began my orientation and has already made me feel like family. I appreciate him taking time to answer all of my concerns and questions regarding this new job. Sometimes going through the process of starting a new job can be overwhelming, however I feel confident in knowing that this new beginning is going to be a great one. I look forward to my time here at Beaufont Health.

Ideal place for rehabilitation and in a great location! Super close to major Richmond hospitals. Superb therapy team who each have their own specialties. Gym is equipped for many different individuals in recovery from different illnesses/injuries!

Beaufont feels like a second home to me. Everyone is so kind,friendly, and they always lend a helping hand. It's so clean, the housekeeping is throughout the facility cleaning everyday! I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. They say there is no place like home, but Beaufont is a very close second. I have worked and visited in a variety of healthcare settings. Beaufont is consistently one of the best I have seen! The entire staff is patient focused and shows genuine care and concern for the residents. It is spotlessly clean. The PT gym and activities centers are outstanding. This is not only a great place to work, it is a great place to recover.

At the beginning every seemed friendly and caring that I was going to get the therapy I'd do desperately needed though unfortunately after just two days had to be his Aaron was great the administrator. Though when I came back after only two days my original goals had changed the only focus was 30 minutes to stretch my left arm though trying to voice the needed therapy for my arms and shoulders gaining range and strength. When I originally asked the supervisor I was told it was up to the therapist. My caregiver came in to speak with my therapist asking if once the arm was taken care of would we work with the shoulders.
She flatly said NO and that was it.
One day three dietary and 1 nurses resigned leaving 1 nurse for 37 patients and 3 aids for 75 patients there were pts going off on other patients cussing in the dining room instead of taking the pt out they did nothing the staff that worked there worked hard and the activities were great for all ages that helped pass the time.
I was so discouraged from lack of therapy I was often in tears. I tried voicing my concern to the social worker, Aaron, and even the nurse as it was a 3 day weekend the higher up weren't there. The Tuesday I asked to meet with the therapy supervisor dean therapist though told not available, and I had my caregiver in hopes of clarifying the range I had lost and the needed plan. It was agreed to work on those for a week then as long as I progress continue.
Two days later things got worse and I called my caregiver as I wanted to leave she spoke with the supervisor to do a discharge plan for in home therapy
That day I signed a paper showing my discharge date I didn't realize until the weekend that they wrote I was being discharged due to insurance coverage had ended which was false and when I spoke of it they showed me it saying that exact day so happened I had reached my skilled nursing goal.
Though there was no meeting they told me I wasn't allowed to talk to anyone if I'm upset
They have the potential but unfortunately the ot didn't care to help me 30 minutes is not enough for anyone though they billed mu insurance for being in rehab.

My father has been here for 7 days and in that time only 1 nurse has been able to adequately adhere the wound vac to his wound. Nurses appear, say they will return "shortly," and are gone for hours. Complaints receive eye rolls and shoulder shrugs. He is not receiving the proper amount of nourishment through his feeding tube and the proper mattress for his bed was not brought in until he had been there for 4 days, even though we were assured the mattress had been ordered and would be there on the day he arrived. The skilled nursing care he has received has been anything but skilled. Incompetence at this facility is everywhere.

I am an employee at this company and this is my first day working here and i already love it!!!! Rehab centers i have been to wasn’t really tidy like this one, but this one is nice and clean and it even smells clean, also the employees here are nice and full of joy!!
