I once met the boss, Katie Gibson,for a meeting. She didn't ask me to dress formally so I wore a new suit that I purchased. Some recruitment companies do not expect you to dress formally for such a meeting. Anyway, I met Ms Gibson and as usual in this situation tried to be friendly and engaging. I didn't hear from her regarding the job I was going for directly. But she did pass on a message through another Pier candidate that she thought my "green suit" (it was a blend of blue and green)and the fact that I smiled "a lot" made me reminiscent of The Joker. I was amazed and asked Gibson in an email whether she had said it and if so, why? She replied that she had said it.Apparently she thought that the feedback would be better coming from someone else. Months later an employee called Jamie contacted me.He asked me "are you alive?" when he rang and it went to voicemail.After time passing I have decided that this is the WORST service I received from a recruitment company-no mean feat.

Emily helped me for just under a month to find a job. After a few rejections she gave me a really good prep talk and advise. The next two interviews I had both offered me the job. Although I didn't take the one she put me forwarded for she was a great help and very supportive. Everyone else who stepped in for her were also as helpful and supportive. Would recommend them going forward.

Danielle is a superstar! After a few weeks of applying and getting nowhere she arranged for interviews and I started my new job after a couple of weeks with her help. This was after spending a frustrating two months getting nowhere on my own. Registering was easy, her communication was brilliant as she called with prospects, before and after interviews. I was made to feel fully confident that I would get a new role, felt looked after and appreciated. Thank you so much :)

Worst recruitment agent I've ever experienced. Me and my partner (we had no similarities on our C.Vs or any information given to Pier) both professionals with a good levels of office and a variety of experience, applied to many positions that Pier had available in 2018 in different months. We heard back from EVERY other agent we had contacted. They took three weeks to reply to us both. The reply was only for temporary jobs though and the email specified that they had a role I may be interested in to call them ASAP. I accepted the interview to go in. During the three weeks of them not replying, there was a position that had oddly specific requirements which I had funnily enough had all the professional and personal experience for (or at least enough to chat about it - one was if I've been travelling in South America in the last 6 months which I had just come back from). I took hours tailoring my C.V for this position and creating the covering letter. I have worked in marketing and therefore was used to creating specific yet detailed work. I am only saying this so you understand that it would be to a level that I would get a response back (as it's a recruitment agent). After a week no response. I chased them. I called them. I emailed them. Finally after a few emails asking for some comment or feedback, they said a lady was dealing with this who is off. I understood. Back to the interview for the temp jobs - I went in as organised and spoke to the lady who asked me to fill in paperwork and ask general questions to see what I could do. To my surprise there was no role currently (even though I was emailed to say that there was and I had came in the next day) and she said she put me on the general list to get notifications when any temp jobs would come up. So again, a shortfall on their end. I took this opportunity to ask, again, about the job I was interested in. She said she would ask her colleague. She came back into the room and said sorry the client is very fussy and wants specific requirements. Well she didn't ask me about the requirements. I pushed once again (as I had remembered them) and said I have each requirement and listed my experience with them. I then said oh well, I thought I would at least ask. She said she would mention it again and would be in touch. As I left they called me back. I found out the director, who told me that the person dealing with it was off, was the one who was dealing with it. So I was also lied to. They went through all my experience and commented that actually, it was worth hearing about. They promised they would be in touch either way. They were not. If your client was THAT fussy it must mean that only people who had the very specific criteria would be shortlisted. Therefore, it was very likely that I should have had a conversation with SOMEONE about this again. Definitely when they had made clear that they were finding it hard to get people with all the requirements (again WHICH I HAD EVERY SINGLE ONE LISTED!!!). The only communication I received was when (two/three weeks later) I finally started getting contacted with temp roles and as I had now gotten another job I had asked to be removed. They then mentioned if I was still interested in the original position which I said yes, only to see if they did ever actually respond. Guess what? They didn't. I don't mind putting effort and time in trying to find a good job, however it shouldn't be this difficult through a recruitment agency. I felt super let down by the company and if they only had communicated, that would have been at least ONE positive for them. Pier, I get that you must see a lot of people, it can be a frustrating job and you're busy but you really made me work hard for absolutely nothing. Why do you think your time is more important than mine? Luckily, I found a great position elsewhere but I felt my experience was really awful and I hope you improve.

A personally taylored service from start to finish. Katie and Jay were extremely attentive and conscientious to our needs. The communication process was excellent throughout. Wonderful experience at Pier Recruitment. I was able to meet with an associate, register and fill out all the paperwork on a Friday and by Monday they had me assigned to a one-week project. Daisy took the time to really go through my CV and understand my skills. She continues to stay in contact and communicate about any opportunities. All in all, a very professional and positive experience.

Sent CV and contact details on two separate occasions and I was never contacted. Seems they only want a certain kind of person on their books; qualified professionals aren't a part of that criteria, apparently! Went with another agency and was found work within a week.

Where to start............. I have found myself needing to use recruitment companies recently looking for work. I have had nothing but let downs and poor service. Until I was called by Rubi at Pier. Well...where to start! I was previously working in London commuting Mon-Fri and decided I needed to find somewhere closer to home. I joined Pier recruitment to help aid with my search due to the limited time I had what with working in London. I also joined a couple other recruiters just to widen my chances of employment (with no success from the other recruiters). Rubi was my consultant but, I had dealings with some of the other ladies at Pier and I have to say they have all been fantastic! Rubi was so good, she got to know me and only relayed positions to me that she thought I would be interested in! She was determined to find employment for me by keeping me updated with new openings and making sure I was happy throughout the whole process! I now have a new job thanks to Rubi and the Pier team!
