Dark, just one gluten free IPA in stock and no g/f lager, suit smooching couples, I was there early evening so did not stay for entertainment so don't judge pub on this snatched visit!

Cosy Irish bar with central bar, lots of seating, various events including Quiz on Tuesdays. Food served until 8pm. A couple of TVs with live football.

Not really a fan of this place - it's a pretty grungy bar and I don't particularly like the music they play. They have an okay selection of beer though, and the customer service is decent. There's just other places in the area with a better atmosphere (unless you're going for dark and gloomy).

An excellent real Irish pub that prioritises GAA no matter what other sport is on. Run by an excellent boss.

Proper Irish bar in the centre of town, but tucked away enough to keep it fairly local. Great staff, live music and the best Guinness.

Great Irish style pub in Brighton, out of the way but usually busy. Great food and Guinness to die for. Order a burger.

This is how a pub should be. It's not changed in the 25 years I've been going, and it's much better for it.

Has a stench if you are a bit if you are early, but the Guinness is bang on and there’s a convivial atmosphere. Serves crisp sandwiches, making it a winner even for those who are not of Irish heritage.

This pub is fantastic during the day - full of atmosphere and charm but at night especially at weekends descends into a screaming moshpit where even the Guinness becomes unpalatable

I used to love this pub - always lively as any Irish pub should be, great for watching the rugby and a reasonably priced pint of excellent Guiness. I'm really not sure what has happened recently though. Maybe new management who only think of £££ but the prices have shot up considerably. What used to be great value food is now ridiculous. I mean, £6.50 for a veggie sausage sandwich. Are you serious?! It didn't even come with chips, just 2 pieces of bread with a couple of sausages. Me and my friends are voting with our feet and won't be returning. Shame, but there's too much competition for great value pubs in Brighton to be paying these prices.

Great Irish Pub. It’s a shame that they took out most of the knock-knacks when they did the refurb, but still a genuinely lovely pub with lovely staff.
