Enjoyed a meal here with friends on a day trip to Brighton. Good choice on menu , meant we could all have a different type of meal while sharing meal time together.

Good pint in nice surroundings. The open mike musicians need to play some happier music.

Decent selection of beers. Some good acts on the open mike night, particularly the guy playing the Richard Thompson and Steve Earl stuff.

Lively popular pub hidden in a back street with efficient and friendly staff. Often with live music, sport on the TVs and with a fun crowd, the craic is good here and well worth seeking out.

As far as city centre pubs go, you can't go wrong with the Fiddlers. In fact, as far as most pubs go, you can't go wrong. Word to the wise though. This is THE rugby pub in Brighton. If you want to get in, let alone stand a chance of seeing a screen, get here early. Like the day before...

Solid Irish pub, with decent collection of cask & keg beer and food. Couple of screens and regular live music. Frankly, I may not have survived a number of conferences without the Fiddlers.

Not my scene, only really has generic beers and the very small selection of better quality stuff in the fridge was miles over-priced.

Visited on st patrick night, although it was extremely busy it had a great atmosphere and very friendly however the reason I am leaving a 3 star review is because the music was awful, it was at Patrick's night and they played hardly no Irish music !!! In an Irish bar. A real shame they were resorting to 80s/90s cheese, Much like all the other bars in Brighton.

The 60's rock playing in the background was pretty good and so was the decoration... but the food did disappointed me a little. I had a beef ale pie and it tasted like old preheated food..
