Great meal & all round experience last night. Booked a table with my parents for our first post-lockdown meal. Great selection of pizzas & drinks which suited all tastes from the grandparents to teenagers.Great music playlist. Lovely staff. Just a wonderful reminder of everything that’s brilliant about our British pubs.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Sunday roast was fantastic and portion sizes were great value for money. Under tier 2 restrictions, they have a great selection of food with hand sanitisers dotted around, and staff wearing masks at all times. My only fault would be that tables aren't necessarily far enough apart. Although this didn't really bother us, we know it may be a factor for others visiting. Will definitely visit again!

Bohemian artisan boutique pub! Welcoming and friendly, art on every wall and the food is excellent. Slightly limited menu but if they do it, they do it very well. Great experience, thank you for having us!

I had the Squash, spinach and mushroom Wellington and it was amazing. The portions are large and very tasty. There are options for vegans and vegetarians. My friends had the lamb roast and the nut roast and they all agreed that it was tasty. The service was great too. Will definitely return

One of the best (if not the best) roasts I've ever had. Extremely generous portion of chicken with a good mixture of meat on and off the bone (they provide such different textures and flavours, the contrast of having both really adds to the meal in my humble opinion), brilliantly 'fluffy on the inside/ crispy on the outside yorkie', the BEST leeks I've ever had, stuffing made out of SAUSAGE MEAT and even the cabbage tasted a bit different and special. Am looking forward to trying out the other roasts they have on offer now. Just a shame they no longer have bar billiards although, to be fair, if they had I probably wouldn't have been able to get a seat, as it's so popular now! Unfortunately, my photos in no way do this meal justice at all. Don't take my word for it though.... Treat yerselves you lucky, lucky people!

Gorgeous Sunday roasts made with love! Delicious vegetarian options, the veggie Wellington is spot on, crispy roast potatoes and all the trimmings. ( You won't leave hungry) Not a meat eater but the look of the local lamb, could've turned me! Super service from smiley people. Well worth a visit!

The Sunday roast served here are genuinely good for your soul. As someone who enjoys a roast, the one served here is one of the best I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favour and experience it firsthand, definitely will not regret it.

Such a cool little spot! Tucked away near Brighton Station up the hill to Seven Dials, it’s a proper little jewel. I love it’s re-imagination as a work/arts hub - that shows work by local artists that you can buy! Plus their new mural outside is a great example of the art they do. Delicious grilled sandwiches ! And super lovely hosts. Looking forward to going back in the evening for some girlie drinks. What Brighton is all about! Thanks for the hospitality guys... !! See you soon x

Heather is the loveliest publican we've met, as soon as we moved to the area she made us feel so welcome. The roasts here are delicious, they're always accommodating with bookings and the cosmic pizzas served during the week are also really tasty.

It's been a while since I've been here and since then I understand it's been brought by the present couple from whichever brewery chain used to own and let and they have done well with the place! The place feels cozy and welcoming with different nooks and areas to cater for different folk and groups. There was a pop-up food event going on by Honest Burgers which we enjoyed along with the ales which were excellent.

The pub's Open Mic on a Tuesday is amazing. I've been 5 times and the acts have been brilliant so far. Also there's 2-4-1 that day and I love their Gin&Tonic menu. It's not the usual house gin. You can pick from a well selected menu offering different tonics and the garnish is always different as well. Tasty!!!

Such a nice place. I'm not a vegan, but had the vegan jack fruit pizza and it was absolutely delicious. I could have eaten another one. The ales are ok, but could be better. Great prices too. The staff are always friendly

Went there for an open mic night. PA system was not to professional standard but it worked for the venue. Drinks were what you expect for Brighton. For the location and time a reasonable atmosphere, but a large buzzing for informing staff of a ready pizza was very of-putting. Great for a quiet drink for commuters if you're looking for somewhere a bit out the way but near the station.

Lovely little "Boozer" pub. Lovely and welcoming place. Good beer, friendly staff. Great location if you're travelling by train, but equally worth a wander out if you're visiting the area.

Lovely place, with a brilliant ambience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the establishment was clean, tidy and organized. However, the food and drink was, in my opinion, a little expensive. Moreover, there was a little mix up in the kitchen. Tiny, insignificant things, really, and barely worth mentioning, but they're enough to stop me from giving this tavern a 5 star rating.

Had an amazing Roast Lunch here on Sunday. Pork belly was delicious and not full of fat like you get in some places. I can say this as the week before I had a somewhat underwhelming one (without naming names) at the competition round the corner...

Excellent pub, brilliant food and a lovely atmosphere. They put on live music occasionly which is (when I went) really chilled and really adds to the place. The people are all lovely and it's only a very short walk from the train station. Good selection of beers etc and good quality food and a good variety of food too. Definitely would go again.

I've only been there during Tuesdays (open mic night) and I have to say I had a great time! Nice atmosphere, great burgers (2 for 1) and lots of emerging or already established talents performing..the place is lovely, warm and very close to the station. A nice, alternative option for your night out.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2 pizzas for £12 ... Bargain. And the pizzas were delicious. Vegan and veggie options. I went for a vegan sgt pepperoni and it was really really tasty, also tried the sorry miss jackfruit pizza which was yummy. I'd definitely eat there again.

Hi first time in the West Hill Tavern, super friendly, just as a pub should be, loved the charming ambiance. The beer was very good as was the service, they also do food, this menu looked really good, and next time I return will definitely be trying it.

Pretty standard selection of beers and ciders. Great selection of gin cocktails. There was live music when we there, so very busy close to the band but the back of the pub was quiet for a sit down and chat!

Went on a Sunday for a roast (had booked) and while the staff were really friendly, they immediately said they were delayed on food up to an hour. We rolled with it, but with two small kids it was a worry. It wasn’t even that busy. Anyway, other than that when I’ve been it’s been fine - the pizzas are nice and there’s a small outdoors area (high brick walls / don’t expect a view!)
