Absolutely outstanding service and the food is exquisite, you could taste every spice and was so authentically indian in its flavour! Michelin star presentation. Felt absolutely safe in this current environment and would highly recommend this restaurant in its old library surroundings.

Third time I’ve been here, in comparison it was a real shock. The service has gone massively down hill so it’s now hard to justify their prices. Burnt my naan to a crisp and the waiter had to check with the chef until I finally got an apology at the end of the meal but no replacement naan which was not ideal. Snooty wine waiters and very slow service. Initially I emailed the restaurant directly but they ignored my complaint so now posting it here. Basically this place has lost its charm so I will definitely not be returning.

This is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant (why are more restaurants not set as libraries???) with great ambiance and awesome food. Everything we had, from the potato fritter amuse bouche to our mains, was delicious. I personally had the black lentils side (very rich and savory) and chicken korma (umami and creamy) and enjoyed every bite. Why no five stars? We went on a Sunday night and the service was very, very slow.

Cinnamon club Soho was there 2 years ago on my friends birthday 17 December. The place was cold, the service was extremely bad, food mediocre. At the end the waitress brought a sweet dish with an Un lit candle, I said to her why the un lit candle she said they did not have any matches!!!! Hahaha so they did not have any cookers and none the staff smoked? The waitress thought it was acceptable to have an un lit candle (by the way its unlucky). Ignorance is bliss. My friend had the worst birthday in her life we were both depressed by the whole thing

Decent 'modern' Indian food but the highlight for us was the service. We were well looked after by the friendly staff the moment we stepped into the restaurant. Not to mention dining in a library was a special experience. The space was large and it didn't felt crammed or noisy despite it being a full house. Makes a delightful meal!

Excellent atmosphere and food is worth every penny. Service is friendly and relatively fast. There can be a bit of a background noise when restaurant is crowded.

The most excellent service received! Fantastic food and amazing receptionists!! We didn't book a table and the reception was so considerate that they immediately accommodated us. Now that is what I call as excellent customer service. The starters and mains were fabulous with generous quantities. Overall Cinnamon Club made our evening very special.

We were in the neighborhood of Westminster Abbey and we wanted to go to a restaurant nearby. Without knowing much, we walked into this restaurant when we were looking for casual lunch. Didn't take much to realize that this was not casual at all. However, we decided to take part in what they had to offer. As vegetarians, I went for the 2 course lunch, breadbasket and couple of sides for sharing with my wife. The cauliflower on tandoor with mix of sauces - I think in included strong mustard or may be wasabi - was a clever play on the palette. My second course had a base of a thick sambar and moon carved pumpkins on top. As a south Indian, I thought the sambar could not be re-imagined without spoiling my habitual taste of it. I was blown away by this too. The other sides - dhal, bread and aloo gobi was wonderful in their own way. We asked for masala chai and the waiter said they were out of spices. However they offered a regular tea on the house. We said no and ordered the dessert. The kulfi was wonderful with a marble chocolate sliver on top and puffed rice on the floor of the plate. It tasted amazing. While we were at it, we were surprised by our waiter bringing us a pot of tea, he said he found some spices and made it himself. Not sure how he did it, it was one of the best tasting tea I have had in a long time. He was surprised himself that we liked it much. There was enough for two of us to have two cups! This restaurant is expensive, but every bit worth it. The service, food, style and quality - everything had attention to detail.

Superb food. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and it became immediately one of our favourite restaurants! Service very good and the library ambience lends it unusual character.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We were a really big group (11), and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was good (really enjoyed the chicken and lamb starters) and their naans. While I enjoyed my butter chicken (I am a big fan of this dish), I was underwhelmed by the quality of the chicken and by the fact that the bones had to be removed. The meat was also slightly dry. I do still recommend checking out this place as all of us enjoyed our meal. My friends were very happy with the monkfish and the prawns, so maybe try that instead of the butter chicken.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We made reservations, which I would recommend doing as well. We opted for the fixed menu which had us trying several dishes which we likely would not have otherwise ordered. The food was delicious and I'd recommend anyone who hasn't given Indian food a try to come here. Regular diners of Indian cuisine will also find these meals superb. While the restaurant is on the pricey side, it is a fine dining experience and we were pleased we gave it a try.

THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD. This is truly an experience. A modern take on Indian dining. Perfect in every way. Perfect service and the drinks were one of the best too. To top it all off the building is an old library. And yes you can look through the books too!!!! Perfecto

Very good Indian in stunning decor and great location. Had the early dinner menu which was nice from flavour but small portions, could have done with more rice.

Very nice venue, good service and setting. Food was disappointing when compared to other good Indian restaurants in London and definitely quality does not support the price.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere felt quite grand. Service was good, not great but took nothing away from the food. Plates are on the pricier side of things but again the quality of the dishes makes it warranted.

Great food, services is ok. Nice decoration inside. More of a westenlied Indian food. Overall good and recommend trying. Was worrying food may be too hot but luckily they can adjust the spiciness of the dishes and there are non spicy choices. The dessert is not really Indian food lololol

We did the reservation for Friday dinner and were there on time, upon arrival at the reception we realized our reservation was for Cinnamon Kitchen by mistake. The reception were so welcoming and kind to provide us with an immediate table allotment and made us wait at the bar for a short duration. I used to hear the term "food melts in your mouth" since my childhood, but for the first time experienced it @The Cinnamon Club. Food was amazing, I loved it, infact I am feeling guilty for writing a late review after a month. One of the best customer service we experienced, amazing reception and food was the best part which we can never forget. Cinnamon Club you made our celebration memorable ☺️ Happy 2020!

I highly recommend this restaurant if you want great Indian food while in London. The building is very classic and in an old library. We got the butter chicken to split and the Bombay style vegetables. Both were absolutely delicious, best butter chicken I've ever had. It recommends for 2 ...but it could easily serve 3-4. Get extra naan. Service was also good, prices are higher but reasonable considering quality.

I took my friends family when they came from India. I am from India and I live here now. I gave 2 stars due to the below reasons: There was a manager?? who received us when we went there. She was an Asian and wore a suit (grey colour). My friend from India suggested that, "there should me a name of the restaurant in front". We were quickly informed by the her that "it was a grade 2 building and they can't put any signs or name boards". We could see that, she wasn't happy with my friend's suggestion. The reception from her was very poor to us. We came from the bar downstairs as our table was ready upstairs, we had drinks in our hands, the lady took our glasses and mixed all our drinks when placed at our table in the restaurant. So we had to order again. I was watching the reception to other people in the same restaurant (non Asians) ( I am not a racist), the lady gave good smile and welcoming them! I saw the reviews and felt, I will surprise my friend for his 40th, but it wasn't a pleasant experience with that lady. I spent nearly 350£ that night and also good amount of tip as other team members were very helpful and food was good. I also uploaded below pictures. Food and Drinks were good but I am not going to make any of my future reservations there. I am sure Cinnamon club don't need reviews from people like us to maintain such a high end restaurant. Respect and treat all the same, I guess. This is the first time, I wrote a review. All the best to that "Lady" and Cinnamon club.

Expensive Indian by Vivek Singh. Food is great, building is beautiful but can be stuffy and snobby as it is close to parliament and often full of Westminster types. If you love Viveks food, Cinnamon Kitchen is cheaper, less full of Westminster and still absolutely amazing food

Booked by colleague, so I had no idea what to expect. Really pleasantly surprised! Excellent food, stunning venue. Of particular note was the amount of staff, I find nowadays many restaurants try to run with as few staff as possible, not here - lots of staff all of whom were polite, friendly and efficient. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious and amazing! The food was unique and very flavorful. The service was friendly and very cordial. We enjoyed all of our meals and starters. Make sure to ask hot levels on your dish prior to ordering if spicy food is not your thing.

Unusual but nice library setting. Nice food of a different taste. But, if you are Asian I don't think this is the right pallet for our taste. It's more on what it looks like in an upper class setting than our usual spiced tastes we a familiar with. A good experience however but not my usual eatery.

Look for the old library, there's no glitzy sign, in fact there's no mention of Restuarant until you go through the main door. Love this place. This was the second time I've been and it did not disappoint. Arrive early and you can spend sometime in the bar soaking up the atmosphere as well as some great cocktails!! The food is high quality and very tasty. Maybe a bit expensive and decadent, but hey it's a treat now and again. Love the flavours and textures and all in an old library that still looks like a library. Very well executed.

A lovely location and a building with character where you can enjoy a drink in the bar. Our starters were excellent but unfortunately that is where the good times end. The main was cold and lacking flavour and the dessert had none of the flavours described in the menu. The service was sub standard which for a resturant charging these prices is not acceptable. I'm afraid you are better off going to your local curry house for a fraction of the cost.

Always a pleasure to visit. Ambiance is perfect for a fine dining experience, although unfortunately slightly marred on this occasion by a large table of 20 business people who created a lot of noise. Food was excellent as ever and the staff their usual attentive self.

This was my first meal at the restaurant. I was not sure what to expect as one has a rather traditional view of Indian cuisine. However, it was truly excellent. Something very different, with a lovely ambience. The starters were wonderful. The mango beer was a lovely twist for a drink. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant, service is okay and food is average. The restaurant was recommended to me by various local people. The cuisine offered here is a newly fashionable Indian creation. The restaurant itself is located in the old Westminster library and looks inconspicuous from the outside weich makes it more mysterious. The style continues inside and makes the visit something special. Already when entering you are welcomed friendly and accompanied to the table. The furnishings are very modern. The menu is very clear and you can see at first glance that you are trying to combine two worlds. Had as starter chicken tadoori and crab risotto. In the main course lamb and as sides two different lentils as well as cauliflower with potatoes and rice and naan bread. The chicken was dry and cold, the risotto was through and rather muddy. The lamb was cold as well as the bread. After a short question if the lamb and bread is served cold, we were brought warmer bread after a longer waiting time (only warmed up, no new bread), but with the lamb they did not react. Portions are very small with the price. Conclusion: For the price I had expected something special, a taste explosion, but apart from the beautiful ambience and the nicely decorated food on the plate I must confess was the service as well as the food rather average. For the money you can definitely eat much better in London.

Absolutely amazing food, as always, but service was really off the mark for a restaurant of this calibre. Not sure if management had failed to rota enough staff, but having to repeatedly ask for things at least two or three times, isnt what you expect.

The food at the Cinnamon Club is oustanding. Gorgeous Indian cuisine of the highest order. What really makes it special is the setting (an old Victorian library). Service was great too. I liked that they put your bill in a book that they take off the shelf. I got a biography of Princess Anne, what did you get?

Brought my husband here yesterday for a birthday surprise but didn't tell him where we would be lunching. His face, when the taxi drew up opposite a Victorian library in a Westminster back street, was a picture! However, once seated with a delicious cocktail and an exciting menu, he soon cheered up! We had a really enjoyable meal served by friendly and attentive staff who never intruded. Thankfully no piped music too. We went a bit nad and ordered the Dessert Platter - six absolutely delicious puddings! We finished the lot! Not feeling all that hungry to-day! Our thanks to everyone, especially George who looked after us really well and took so many nice photos.

Went to this restaurant for my girlfriend's birthday. The overall experience was good, but I only put 3 stars for the following reasons: - The food is good but expensive for what it is / the portion size. It did not blow me away - I had a booking at 8pm, but the table was ready at 8.30pm. That was ok, but then we waited at least another 30min before the waiter came to our table These two things make me a little disappointed, as I had high expectations. On the plus side, the place is beautiful and the atmosphere is good. The starters (aubergine and octopus) were very good.
