My best culinary experience at London. The Cinnamon Club bring you to India, a really good trip.

Indian food here is a little eccentric. Ambience is amazing. Won't find another Indian restaurant in a library like this. Very cool place to have a dinner, business or otherwise.

NO zero or low alcohol beers is a big omission on the drinks menus which should not be the case these days. The food was awesome though. The octopus starter a particular highlight and black lentils are always such a good side order I wonder why more places don't do them like this place does. Plenty of game on the menu, and just to prove it's not an Indian restaurant there is steak on the menu for non-curry lovers. Great food, shame no zero alcohol lagers as I was driving and love a beer with my curry.

The interior is absolutely fantastic, as is the service. Upon paying my bill, I can definitely say I have never before been asked if I need a taxi ordered for me. Everyone we encountered was incredibly courteous and friendly. Unfortunately I was not very happy with my food. As an almost-vegetarian, my favourite thing to order at Indian restaurants is paneer. Anything with paneer. They had kofta paneer “meatballs” which only came as a double order for £55 but luckily the chef said he’d make it a single portion. I was wondering why this was so expensive, as obviously I paid £27.50, but my friend who got the sea bass paid £21. Am I missing something here - why was my vegetarian meal so much more expensive than my friend’s? It would’ve been fine if I really enjoyed it, but it was not great, and I really struggled to finish it. I’d be willing to come back and try it one more time - perhaps I ordered the “wrong” thing at this restaurant.

We opted for a the autumn menu and were really happy with what was served. The crab balls were amazing, the sea bass was really tasty and the lamb was among the best meats I've ever had in London. On a side note the ambiance is amazing, a beautiful library and amazing service. Well worth the visit.

Look, I'll be honest. I ate ok here, but a review on this thing should give people like me an idea of what to expect. It's bloody expensive. The wait time was OK, lots of complaints about it on Google but I'm not acquainted with 5 star service so it seemed pretty good to me. Don't bring your family, maybe show off to your friends but there's nothing here worth a 95 quid share menu. Being surrounded by books is all very well but maybe come for a cheaper breakfast and THEN tell everyone how much fun you had. Around books. Or just read a book and keep it to yourself. I spent 25 quid on one course, it's not ideal but understand that's not a restriction for others. Enjoy.

An incredible modern take in Indian. Amazing food and venue. Mains are small, starters are amazing. Not a cheap destination but worth the spoil.

This was probably the best Indian food I've ever had. It's a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. The staff was very attentive and warm. Would definitely recommend for lunch because they have good specials.

Went to celebrate two birthdays, had already eat there before, this time the service was below what you would expect from a top class restaurant. Had to continually wait for drinks. Had to ask for. Made a very serious error delivering an alcoholic drink to a pregnant lady in our party, which was ordered as a non alcoholic drink. Very stressful and will not be frequenting again ever as the management have not been apologetic

We had a lovely experience at The Cinnamon Club. I arrived a bit early so enjoyed a drink in the downstairs bar before being taken into the grand old library for our dinner. We went for the autumn menu which we felt was great value and we got a free cookbook with it which was a nice touch. The waiter called Raul was especially helpful, polite and was working hard to tell us about the dishes and ingredients. Thanks Raul!

Great food but portions are relatively small. We were sat in an annex room which is a shame as the main room is pretty impressive. Good for parties of 8+

Overpriced, underwhelming, slow. We came on a Friday evening and both ordered the tasting menu. Nice waiters, but slow service with at least 10+ minutes between each item (2 hrs total). The food was mediocre; the courses were overly fancy, probably in an attempt to justify the price, but they missed the mark. Liked the ambience, but we were surprised by the great reviews and the price for the quality

We had the taster menu with wine pairing at £185 per person but the service and food we experienced did not reflect the high price point. From being ignored at the front desk to having to ask for our first glass of wine a number of times this didn’t feel like a premium experience. The food was ok (we didn’t have any standout dishes) and would have been fine if the bill wasn’t nearly £400. There are defiantly more interesting places to try in London for a lot less money.

I really don’t often write reviews, even for the best meals I have had the pleasure of eating but this whole experience warrants feedback. Firstly, the service was some of the worst I have experienced in London: one of our table’s first courses was forgotten, then they placed all the dishes in the wrong places so a vegetarian actually got a meat dish, then an entirely incorrect main course was brought over to the table and it was only after we complained that we received an apology, the correct dish arrived 10 minutes later. Utter incompetence. We waited 30 mins between starters and main courses. We were placed in there back room and on several occasions had to get up to find a waiter. My husband then found a pebble, yes, a pebble in his chicken dish and almost chipped his tooth. At £75 per person it is GROSSLY overpriced. The food did not taste like authentic Indian food, swinging between overly salted and bland. How this restaurant has the reputation is does is utterly beyond me. I would not eat here again even if I was paid to.

9/10 one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever ever eaten at. The staff are extremely helpful. If someone told me this is a Michelin star restaurant I would not correct them. The restaurant is inside a former library and this is so well incorporated that it makes the ambience of this restaurant feel more comfortable. Prior reservations recommended.

Gorgeous location, bar downstairs is amazing. Flavours of the food are Devine, but service lacking and our main was tepid at best. Disappointing for such a classy expensive restaurant. Great location but service and cooking needs refining to be up to the standard we would expect.

No, not impressed. Perhaps because we went on a Saturday as opposed to a week day, but there were categorically not enough waiting staff for the amount of tables which means a lot of the service you have to do yourself - I.e hailing waiters for wine, to order etc. We had to ask where our wine and bread was on more than one occasion. Disappointing. Food and drink were all good but the service let the stars slide. Too many good Indian restaurants in London to need to return here

Brilliant chef, Appalling service. Went there for lunch the other day. The food was authentically brilliant but I have to say the waiters, servers (apart from the staff who brought out the food) were absolutely appalling. Perhaps the owner doesn't pay them on time? 2 sides and all that.... but can't really say. For the money (£90 spent), absolutely unacceptable service and definitely not recommended.

It’s rare to come across a restaurant that successfully manages to fuse the structure and cohesion of a high end European restaurant and the rich flavors of the East. This rarity of a restaurant is successful. If Dishoom is the SoHo of Indian restaurants, edgy and irreverent , then Cinnamon Club is the Mayfair establishment where you know you will be pampered in a luxurious environment. The food in well imagined, the flavors understated but with personality, respecting rather than overwhelming the natural juices of the meat. A must visit for those not fortunate enough to live in London, home of the best Indian food in the world.

Went for Valentine's night. Although food was lovely service was very poor. They missed out bringing 2 of the courses and we had to keep reminding them. Kept sending over different waiters each time to everyone and getting mixed up and confused with the orders...

Set into a beautifully preserved library, this restaurant does not miss on ambience. Service was excellent: careful but not invading. Food was simply great. Not shy on spices, yet perfectly balanced without exceeding. The lamb was simply excellent. We didn’t try it but also the fin selection at the bar looked great.

Really great food and lovely setting. Often come here with my grand-mere. One star taken off because one time one of the waiters kept on calling me sir when I am not male - if you're unsure for whatever reason why not just avoid sir/mam instead of taking a gamble? :(

Third visit here, one of our London favourites until the last visit.. understaffed - has to wait 15 minutes after sitting to even be attended to! Ordered the Butter Chicken combo and asked for gluten free bread ( due to intolerance).. we were told nothing is available, chef has to be informed well in advance..! In the past they have always given some other pancake ( lentil / rice) but this time not even asked the chef, the answer was no! We were told will replace with extra portion of rice? Which also never came! The wine was kept so far away ( which we didn’t mind if someone was available to serve it!) ..we had to keep asking the non existent staff for filling up our glasses! Going to have to find another place for Butter Chicken cravings now!

Hands down the worst meal I’ve ever had in London, and some of the worst Indian food I’ve had anywhere in the world! And some of the worst service too. Waiter got everything wrong, one dish didn’t turn up, other dishes arrived which were never ordered. The opening taster was luke warm, and had a hair in it! My main course had a stone in it! I mean, actually a small pebble!! And the prices are astronomical for the quality. Any local curry house in London not only provides better food, and better value, but the scooter delivery even provides better service. Avoid at all costs, not worth it. So many better options in London. And lastly, the waiter isn’t allowed to accept cash, only the manager is, but any tip has to be cash only! If you could request a refund for food, I would be doing it.

Superb food. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and it became immediately one of our favourite restaurants! Service very good and the library ambience lends it unusual character.

We reserved there for dinner with 10 people in total, and placed in the 1st floor. Unfortunately, it was awfully slow: 1h30 to get the food. Yes this was good and refined, but for that price, this slowness should not happen

Amazing food, average service. Waitress forgot to top up wine frequently and service ran a little slow between courses which was disappointing. Other than that, an amazing evening.

The woman who took our umbrella, coats and hat acted as if she had just been handed nuclear waste. She was incredibly rude. To put a person with such a bad attitude in the front of house is not a great idea. The library is stunning, the menu is very small, the prices are high. Our group had a couple of dietary restrictions, the server reported after speaking to the chef that we would basically be paying £38 for a plate of bland butternut squash. We decided to leave. On the plus side our server told us we didn’t have to pay for the bottle of sparkling water, which was generous of him.

My friend Red Rage Roger and I visited the restaurant as we are working our way around London visiting some of the allegedly best restaurants around. Paulina our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful, the other staff were pleasant. The food was very tasty I must say. A £27 a head set lunch menu meal turned into a £65 a head meal when we added house wine and desert but we still felt it was good. Red Rage was have a particularly bad day but by the end of the meal he had cheered up. So to conclude the food was very good, interesting room and ambiance, the staff were ok but not of Michelin quality so a little work is required there.

Visited this establishment with my family to celebrate my graduation earlier this afternoon. While the food was delectable the service was sub par. Our waiter was condescending and snobbish, talking over us while taking our orders and having a total air of disinterest which, I must add, he did not appear to extend to other tables in the vicinity. I have to say his attitude put a dampner on what should have a happy occasion and I will not be returning. Not at all what I expected from a Michelin starred restaurant, thoroughly disappointed.
