The tasting menu is highly recommended. Definitely don't make this a rushed meal. Excellent food. Superb service.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Indian food, but after my experience yesterday I officially am! Now my new go to, I loved the food and the service... Will definitely be going again.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in London - their puchkas are a must, as are their samosa chaat, vegetarian biryani and rhubarb kheer. Excellent service and great drinks. Not for the faint wallet but definitely worth the price!

A really great restaurant in London! The place is beautiful inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was incredibly tasty, flavorful and good portion size. For starters we had the king edward potato cake and the chicken tikka pie. The pie is absolutely amazing and like nothing I’ve ever tasted. For mains we had the signature black dhaal, dad’s butter chicken, aloo baigan and lamb. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked but the butter was by far the winner of the night. Honestly the best butter chicken I’ve tasted in my life! We ended the meal with the peanut butter chikki parfait which also didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is also continuing to offer discount on certain days for the eat out to help out scheme for the duration of September. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for amazing indian food with quality service.

The only good thing for vegetarians is the chilli cheese naan, I'll give them that. There are very minimal options for vegetarians especially considering it is a Indian restaurant. I think people go there for the name 'Atul Kochar' but he is setting the worst example for indian food. For spending a lot of money, this was touristic standard food, I wouldve expected atul kochar himself to pick out the okra for the price I was paying for a small bowl because even a child could pick out better okra than that from a market, it was sticky, too many seeds and too raw, not to mention no flavour. For a fine dining restaurant they are extremely stingy when it comes to customer comfort, even basic shisha lounges and very bad restaurants provide better shelter and heating for outdoor dining during this pandemic. I shouldn't have even paid £18 service charge to be sat on a lopsided road in the pouring rain. Absolutely appalled by the service. Atul Kochar should be ashamed that this is his restaurant. I think he should really consider spending a bit of time training the chefs, and providing better customer service. Also never heard of £28 for a bowl of extremely basic paneer, I've had good food with truffle for the same price.

An outstanding experience from the moment we contacted the team. It was special occasion as in a family Birthday and my mum was unable to travel the long distance to the Kanishka restaurant. Finding out that they could deliver outside of the M25 was great news. The food and presentation was amazing and authentic, the flavours from the lamb, butter chicken and prawn dishes were outstanding close enough to my mom's cooking! We are already planning another meal for Christmas Eve order for home, hopefully in the new year we can visit the restaurant as we have never been. Our first experience of this wonderful place was by ordering a take-way!!

Great experience, enjoyed each dish which was packed with flavour. Service was very friendly and felt that they did a good job pacing out the tables and reservations. Would recommend and I will gladly return.

Wonderful experience at Kanishka. The service and food was exceptional. 7 course tasting menu with paired wines amazing. Such tasty food like the soft shell crab, pan seared prawns, Lake District lamb, peanut butter parfait- the list goes on. We hope to be back soon.

Food was decent. Ambience could have been better. Stained couches and lampshades. About £200 pp for the tasting menu with wine pairing. Not worth the price.

Just wanted to say I was disappointed with my non experience. Used the contact form to see how much delivery would cost and to see if they could provide a desert I had previously. I wanted to order the celebration package for a birthday. Got a response from Phoebe who wanted my contact phone number in which I emailed back 5 days ago without any response. Been here before food was fab but obviously didn’t want my business. So took it too Bombay bustle instead.

Nicely decorated restaurant. Picked various dishes from the a la carte menu. Food was well presented, tasted lovely with all the flavours and was a good portion size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend coming to this restaurant to try the food and have a enjoyable experience.

Fantastic place. 1st class customer service. Food is really good. Presentations are excellent. However, it is bit pricey. Starters came bang on time but mains took too long. I think we waited an hour for the mains. Food was warm and not piping hot. The saag aloo was bit salty. Everything else was perfectly made. The atmosphere is really good.

I ordered from Kanishka for our 30th anniversary and was hugely disappointed.. For a fine dining restaurant the food was tasteless and bland . My local Indian restaurant food has more flavour. The cocktails were a rip off it was less than a glass of what I would get if I were in the restaurant.

A wonderful culinary experience with wonderful staff who were an absolute pleasure. The chicken in the mixed grill was ludicrously good and the best elderflower mocktail and Brussels sprout dish we’ve ever had!

The food was great & so was the service. We had the set 3 course lunch menu. We thought this represented good value compared to the a la carte menu, although sides are definitely needed for the mains to make this into a complete meal. Unfortunately we didn't feel that the restaurant was covid-secure. The tables were definitely too close to each other - we were sitting less than 1m from other guests. We also felt disappointed that guests were not wearing face coverings when moving about the restaurants and we never saw the staff challenge this. For this reason alone we wouldn't return in the short term.

We ordered Kanishka at home for a celebration and was disappointed by the quality of the food, particularly the amount of oil. This is not the standard of food we expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. We further did not receive any communication after we raised this issue via email.

Lovely food, I thought the cooking is superb. The seafood curry was excellent though portion size could be a bit more generous. The mixed tandoori grill was done to perfection. Highly recommended.

The innovative stuff was quite good but the regular Indian food such as the dal and Choley were quite inedible. Service was great.

Had dinner for continuous two days because food is so amazing and on the spot and the restaurant has a good vibe. I tried the curry chicken, potato cake, salmon, and classic biryani. All of the dishes are tasty and light, you won’t feel too carby or heavy. Best Indian food I have ever had in London. Their desserts are even better, all ingredients are so fresh and there is a good mixture of different subtle flavours in desserts.

Went here during their soft opening, day 4. Great food, personally I found the sides the highlights of the meal. The mixed grill is large enough that you barely need anything extra though. Only downside was how slow the service was, 2hrs for lunch (2 courses) however this was during the soft opening so I would expect it has improved.

Had a very pleasant meal this evening. Had three courses a la carte and all dishes were very nice. Goat curry and Butter chicken stood out. The tikka pie and mixed grill for starters were very tasty especially the lamp chops and fish. Really enjoyable evening and well looked after by Rizwan. Good to see Atul pop around and say hello. Highly recommend

Top class. I’m a huge fan of Atul and it was great to try one of his restaurants today. The food was amazing and the FOH team and chefs were all very welcoming and attentive. Looking forward to coming again and ordering the 2nd half of the menu next time..

Unfortunately I just don’t feel that the food here lives up to its price and reputation. We ordered a selection of vegetarian dishes, but the majority were quite average and lacking in flavour. The aloo baijan was the standout dish here and I enjoyed the pani puri, but wasn’t blown away by the rest of it. Service was great, but I really do think the vegetarian options could do with some more attention.

Was recommended by my friend. Had a good experience dining there. They got a nice cocktail menu to try. The interior on the downstairs with full of artificial green was great. Great selection of menu to try for. Staff are very friendly and worth a try.

Have had many gourmet Indian meals over the years and in many countries, but I can say that this is the best all rounder. It mixes an earthy home cooked flavour with a top end finish. Think Michelin star meets favourite curry club. We had dine-in on Friday and it was a cut above anything I’ve had before. The Naga chilli chicken, goat curry, black daal and every single dessert gets 10/10. Thank you Chef Atul and team.

I have to caveat this - we ate here in October 2020 inbetween lockdown one and two. However, the food was wonderful. It doesn't quite compete with Benares or Tamarind, but it isn't far off. Wonderful service, good food, recommended!

Excellent food in a modern environment. We went for the 6 sharing dishes taster menu from timeout and everything was great. If anything it is too much and we ended up leaving the restaurant having eaten easy too much. Friendly and efficient staff

Ordered a takeaway for my birthday after reading great reviews. Very disappointed. Arrived late and almost cold. Food is fine but no better than anything I could have got locally, at a fraction of the cost and probably hot! Not worth Michelin prices at all.

This is not anything like other high end restaurants such as Benares, Kahani etc. This place is more upmarket casual dining. We went for the special offer from timeout London £25pp six sharing dishes menu. We found the dishes to be very underwhelming. In the starters the momos lacked taste and the samosa chaat was very average. The paneer dish as a main had far too strong a tomato taste and the daal was not up to the expected standard. Whilst the staff were very friendly and courteous the food unfortunately was a bit of a let down.

Okay vegetarian food, but nothing special. Genuinely great service, but think the food was lacking a little taste. The Aubergine Baingan was superb, but chhole, hing aloo and momos were all a little bland. Pani puris were nice.

We came to the restaurant for the special time out offer £30 for share courses. With spiced cocktail. I would say even the offer was little over priced. Should have been around £20 each mark not £30 for the Indian cuisine. It wasn’t overly busy at all which was nice.. the decor is stunning and well kept. Loved the green jungle ceiling. On arrival until we got out first dish it took them an hour and abit, which is extremely long, they kept feeding us with popadoms. For that reason the service charge was removed. But the food was absolutely sexy and tasted amazing!! You will leave feeling full and satisfied with what you have just eaten. Can accommodate small and large parties.

I visited Kanishka when it opened and the food quality was excellent. I am glad to say they have kept the standard and not become like the myriad of other curry houses. A great variety of flavoursome food all with a unique twist.

Had dishes from the set menu and also from a la carte. Overall the food quality is good with the samosas and seafood curry taste towards the salty side. The mixed grill dash is a bit cold when served. Given the soft launch discount of 50% on food, the food quality justified the price tags. It would be a bit pricy if full price is paid.

The overall ambience and lunch experience was awesome. Los of option for vegetarians and vegans, for me the standout dish was Momos and Saag Aloo with those shallot onions in it. Since we couldn’t come to the restarting for our sons birthday during lockdown Atul ensured that he gets to celebrate with complementary desert. Pradeep, Aruna and Nevaan.

Excellent north Indian food and very attentive service. Hard to choose a favourite dish as everything was incredible, but especially enjoyed the chicken tikka pie, truffled potato cakes and the lamb biryani. Can't wait to come back.

Perhaps one of the best Indian restaraunt In the in London. Being Indian I know Indian food. Been a few times. Can’t flaw any dish. The butter chicken is traditional and not heavy. The Black Dhal perfect, mixed grill , goat curry , bhindi, saag panner & biryani. All get 5 stars. Take a bow Atul Kochhar.

Was there to try the timeout taster menu, which for the quantity and quality of food served is justified I'd say. The staff was pleasant and took good care of us throughout the course of meals. The food was meticulously served and visually appetizing, not to mention tasted amazing and close to home(esp. the samosa and momos) which although many restaurants claim but not succeed. Would definitely come back and try the unique north eastern cuisine this restaurant offers!

Customer service was amazing and the food was good. The curry’s are delicious, I would skip ok starters and the whole point is to experience a Michelin star chef’s main courses. Would I go again? Most probably would!

I had an lovely dining experience here, a beautiful interior, greeted and treated very well by the staff. I was lucky enough to attend during the soft launch (50% OFF food) otherwise typical spend for food and drinks would be £70+ for two people so I would definitely say this is a ‘treat’ dining experience (it’s pricey) I guess as expected in the heart of Central London. Overall, food was good I really enjoyed the ‘Classic Samosa Chaat’ starter it was spicy and full of flavour, Floral lychee cocktail was delicious and beautifully presented. The ‘Crispy Fish’ starter was the only disappointing dish. Just to add the bathrooms are so pretty.
