Nice place but very overpriced, although the food was okay. Service was poor hence I have classed it as overpriced. Shame the owners haven't put more effort in the service.

Delightful. Last night in London and decided to have nice dinner. We didn't make reservations but the host was accommodating and seated us within 15 minutes. We didn't get to sit in main dining area so I'm sure we didn't get the full experience. Food was on the higher end but not unreasonable given the service. Creative take on traditional dishes. Would recommend if in the neighborhood.

Had a great night at the cinnamon club. The staff was such a delight and the food was simply amazing. Would definitely recommend it to other people! Especially loved the poached pear dessert! Thank you Francis and your team for the great night :)

I've visited three times for lunch, and the food and service has always been exceptional. Inventive, modern meals that leave you wanting more. Plus it's a beautiful venue inside. An all round excellent experience.

From the moment we stepped foot in the door, we were treated like royalty. Not surprising, given the fact that they’re just a stone throw away from Parliament. They’re probably used to serving dignitaries all the time. For our last dinner in London, we couldn’t have picked a better spot. The staff, from the doorman to the manager, conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. The wine suggestion by the sommelier, Giovanni, was spot on. The room was quite stunning and stately. And the food was amazing. It was well presented and cooked perfectly with subtle yet complex spices. They really made our evening enjoyable and memorable. If you’re looking for a place with ‘wow’ factor for that special evening then you should consider giving Cinnamon Club a try.

WORST SERVICE EVER. Reserved a table at 9pm on valentines. No table until after 10pm. Horrendous service. Drinks in the bar took 50 minutes to arrive. No urgency no apology. Loads of tables free when we got one. One of many waiting for at least an hour. Loads of previous guests complaining about cold food. Once we got a table, waited half an hour for service, so abandoned it. Utter joke. Irresponsible to overbook on valentines day.

Probably quite nice, too drunk to remember the finer points really, But what's the point of a ruby if it's not washed down with copious amounts of Cobra!

Amazing fine Indian. They have a 4 course vegan menu for £40 - outstanding Service a little slow but I wasn’t in a rush

We had such a lovely time here. We absolutely love Indian cuisine, so we had been looking forward to it since we made the reservation. In an obviously gorgeous area and location, the interior did not disappoint - it was exactly as I had hoped: elegant, tasteful, understated, and the character and charm of an old library. The ambiance was peaceful, the service was calm, and a soft tranquility settled upon you as you entered the room, as though you had been transported to another time. Since we had booked quite far ahead in advance we were unsure how they might prioritize our table location that day, but we were delighted to find that our table was an open corner booth, flanking us with books on either side and providing what I think may be the best view in the space. I was so happy that the book-lined walls were immediately behind our table (rather than a fair distance from the table), so that the deep dusty colours of the spines of the books were the backdrop of our conversation, and all the titles were easily visible from our seats. The service we received was faultless, with an array of different servers attending to us with great detail, care, and warmth, paying close attention to the rhythm of our meal as it progressed so as to never leave us waiting, and yet never hovering or being too present. Each dish we ordered was utterly delicious, with flavours so engaging and complex they somehow made our appetites insatiable despite being quite full by the end. There was live music briefly, which again was tastefully arranged in positioning in the room as well as volume, genre, and duration. As we retrieved our checked items before leaving, we received friendly service right to the end, making for a flawless flow to our entire experience. I would love to return soon to further explore the tantalizing menu, and we highly recommend this place for any meal. But my other enduring curiosity is that I was genuinely wondering if there is any system to the selection of the books in which they bring your bill? It piqued my interest, and I would love to know.

Elevated curries in a spectacular venue. Make sure you try the venison.. So good it made a scotman smile.

Very good food and a fairly extensive wine list. The restaurant has kept features of the original library, including books, which makes for a nice atmosphere. Can be a bit noisy when busy, which seems to be a lot of the time. Booking a table is recommended. A bit overpriced, I suppose that is due to the location.

At first sight it's rather peculiar to find an Indian restaurant occupying a library, with the fittings of the library still intact, and my first impression was that it would be a Raj themed Simpsons, but this is definitely not what it is, though it certainly is comfortable in an old fashioned way. The very interesting menu takes full advantage of seasonal ingredients - I agonised about tandoori venison before settling on the excellent lamb and my vegan daughter found plenty to like too. One thing that does get an extra star from me is that nearly all the wines are available by the glass, so you can pair a glass with each course.

I was sadly disappointed. Although it has a good ratings and reviews, the vegetarian dishes leave a lot to be desired. Having raisins in a curried dish doesn't appeal except maybe to a western palette. And the mushroom dish had big mushrooms that I could not even cut with the knife. Apart from that, the surroundings are nice, just like being in a library.

The main course was really delicious but the starters were pretty average, as was the service.

We specifically made our way here while on our travels in London. Amazing food...amazing decor...reasonably priced for a nice lunch. The only thing negative I can say is that it almost seemed like they felt we were not their typical customer with our backpacks from trekking around the city. We had the lunch two course meal. We all had different dishes and they were all delicious. The pork was our favorite.

Average food (Dishoom is better) not value for money. Service was terrible -- reservation at 9pm but seated at 10pm and first dish served at 11pm. Usually restaurants of this "standard" would make up the delay in small gestures or better service but they offered none forthcomingly. We had to insisted that our drinks (only those consumed while waiting) be on the house. They reluctantly obliged. 100% won't go again.

Food was delicious and service in the restaurant was faultless. The only thing that let this occasion down was the bar downstairs only having one person behind the bar making the cocktails and therefore took a while to get served our drinks. Highly recommend for a special occasion in a one of a kind venue.

As aficionados of Indian cuisine, we were eager to visit the Cinnamon Club. We were not disappointed. The fact that they are open later than many restaurants was much appreciated, as we were coming from the theatre. All of the dishes and condiments were excellent. I highly recommend the gin cart, which gives you a very personal experience and is an excellent way to discover new and interesting gins. The library ambiance is lovely as well and the book titles provide for interesting conversation.

Food was enjoyable and ambience is nice, the setting and decor is very relaxing. Service was a bit sporadic and not close to being the faultless affair you'd expect given the reputation and prices. We used a Time Out voucher for discounted food, and although good, dont think O go again and pay full price.

Service was impeccable from I stepped in the door. Gorgeous ambience and a very interesting talking point over the dishes as it's located in an old library. Alessandro was our waiter and he took care of us as though we were the only diners there. The menu was adventurous and this was reflected in the price so be warned. I will be recommending to friends and family because it reminded me of why I like dining out in London. The staff made it a lively experience simply by being attentive but not intrusive.

The food is phenomenal, beautifully spiced and cooked superbly. The service is just right attentive without being intrusive friendly without being over familiar. The atmosphere is lovely. Price for quality and service is spot on one of the best dinning experiences I’ve had. Recommend the bass fillet and the pink pepper gin with strawberry and the honeycomb desert

Set lunch good as always. Fish is particularly good.Service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Waiters need to be more attentive. They seem to disappear. Lower scoring for service. Food would have been a 5.

Food tasty, wine excellent. But at this price point the service will was somewhere between slow and atrocious. Lots of places offering as good Indian food at half the price and better service; similarly, plenty of places offering menus at this price which don't leave you wondering if you've been forgotten about and when you might get home.

Excellent food and ambience. A great dinner to finish our week in London. I had the Tandoori octopus for appetizer, followed by the venison for main. Both outstanding. Had the Malai Kulfi with quinoa and raspberry for dessert, which was also delicious. If you like modern Indian food, go to this restaurant!

Went for a birthday meal the other night shambolic service. Firstly mixed up starters got the table back to front also forgot one of the dinners starters. Have to say the octopus was lovely though. Waited ages In between courses mains were again messed up back to front table. Really basic stuff. Mains finally came. My fish was the dryest piece of coley I have ever managed to eat. Was it cooked last week? Taste of meal was good flavour. Service and quality really poor. Unfortunately I was at someone else's birthday party so left it and didn't complain.

Great food, very friendly staff especially the host slightly elderly man. If you're Indian and expecting desi food this is not the place though. It's more British with a hint of indian, but excellent taste and combinations.

The Cinnamon Club used to real luxuary restarant. It still serves good food but the restaurant is neglected and run down. Steping in to the reception is like stepping into a care home with a mish mash of furniture you need to navigate around. The cloak room curtain hangs off the rail and light bulbs out are out in all the light futtings. The cozy pre dinner bar has been turned in to a cramped and un welcoming annex dining room furniture is stacked in reception and downstairs like a second had furniture shop. Overall very disappointing.

Great food and experience in a wonderful library. The service and ambiance, however, was less than subpar: some of the clientele were very rowdy, constantly shouting and even visibly making inappropriate gestures. I'd have expected the staff to acknowledge the situation and ask the aspiring gentlemen to tone it down, but they seemed keener to keep the wine bottles coming. Enjoy.

Interesting restaurant food not your usual Indian but good quality. Service was very good . Being a high end restaurant I would like the food to be at least warm but every dish came out cold even the plates. For this reason my experience was not good.

Two and a half hours for two courses and then called it quits. Kedgeree was served with a poached egg on top which was rubber in consistency and cold. Sent back and served again with a fresh one. All the starters were luke warm to cold. Main courses arrived after two hours and it was much the same. Portion sizes were very small and inconsistent for the same dishes. Chicken breasts for the Korma dishes were clearly cooked some time ago as they were dry and nearly cold. Definitely not cooked fresh to order. Everyone said the same thing - all the meals were again barely warm. Of the small amounts that people ate, the taste was incredibly average and completely underwhelming. We had menus with desserts included but it was bad enough to want to leave. After complaining the manager did offer a reduction in the bill which was the right thing to do. Definitely needs an investigation to find out what happened and that it never happens again. Huge disappointment and ruined evening.

A great meal. The menu was varied and the choices were very good. A good selection of drinks for pre dinner drinks in the bar. Friendly and efficient service. A very enjoyable evening in pleasant and a buzzing setting.
