I don't even like footbal that much but when your sitting in a large cosy pub with reasonably priced drinks (if you go for deals) and a lot of customers enjoying them selves and the atmosphere, you really get into it. Thumbs up to the exchange for making it that sort of place.

The Exchange is a popular go to pub around Hove and gets busy pretty quickly at key times.
It's got really nice food, really friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
I would recommend booking a table for big guests as it does get very busy.

I love this pub which was our local for a while. There is nothing truest amazing about it but that is its charm. It isn't trying to hard so you can go there whenever and just enjoy a drink by the fire or have some food. The chicken burger is soooo good here

Another pub that has had a much needed makeover. The decor now is great, lots of art work on the walls gives it a real bohemian feel, but also cosy. The drink selection is pretty good, lots of different ales, including some local beers. Good wine and spirit choice as well. Haven't eaten here yet, but the food looks lovely and a good selection of dishes are on the menu.
There is a really nice atmosphere, and it does get really busy on Fridays and Saturdays, especially if sport is on, which this pub also caters for, having several screens including a large pull down cinema style screen.
The staff in my experience have always been polite and helpful.

My favourite pub for watching sports. Always has good beer on tap, never too busy and staff are always friendly. Loses a star because the food's not great and there's a lack of veggie/vegan options.

Thins review is based on Sunday roast. It is just ok. Food is average. Pub is big and nice. Busy but never too bad on Sunday. Other days like Friday after 5 can get pretty busy. In winter they have a real wood fire. In a nice day sitting outside is nice.

I've been going to The Exchange for about two years and the last couple of times I've been there it's been a big let down. The staff aren't as friendly or welcoming and the food has really gone down hill. With the departure of its usually lovely staff, this pub has lost that personal touch and charm that it once had and is now like any other mediocre pub.

Surprisingly large, quirky and friendly for such a backstreet location, although it's quite close to the station. It seems that pubs off the main roads are no longer equipped with staring and vaguely menacing regulars when you walk in, least in this part of Hove. High ceilings, plenty of room and, dare I say it, standard Old Curiousity Shoppe decour set the scene for an impressive range of ????, ???? and spirits. The eatables on offer seemed popular too. Well worth the short detour on your way from the seafront and commercial hub to the station or vice versa.

This pub used to be an acceptable local with nice friendly staff making you feel welcome with a great atmosphere every time you came in. Over the past few months not only has the standard of staff dropped, but the food seems to be made without pride or care, served with an equal lack of enthusiasm. It's a shame as the best thing about this place was the great atmosphere and staff. The football was also limited to one screen only, despite the availability of more suitably placed screens around the pub. This excludes those wanting to eat food on a table by the fire from being included.
