I and my family are registered at the centre since 2017 and so far I have always received the best care, advice, help and support. All the members of the team (receptionists, nurses, mid wives, doctors) are brilliant! Thank you very much!

I can't say I love this place. It's part of Brighton NHS, and I went there to have the pulses in my ankles checked by a Doppler machine. I found all the staff lovely. They are all very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The staff are rude and refuse to listen when you try to talk to them about your problems. They dismiss them and tell you to live with it. If I'm having to go back and forth to A&E all the time it isn't something that can just be ignored and there patient care is terrible. I had a different surgery say more tests were needed and and to notify Sandford and they've decided to just do nothing and pretend nothings wrong when it is effecting my entire life

I just wanted to share my experience from previously being registered with this surgery for the past 3 years whilst at uni. Although the doctors here are professional,. I believe they don't care enough about the patients. They seem to be very quick to assume what you have instead of asking you more thorough questions. Which can be dangerous if they're prepared to give you antibiotics that you do not need. I think they lack a duty of care, which is something all doctors must have within their profession. I am so glad i no longer live in Brighton and have to go to a surgery that really doesn't care much about you at all, especially if you're a university student. Please do better in the future.

Seriously useless. Every month they seem to muck up my prescription and leave me without my medication after given them 5 days to do it and when you moan they say you’re rude!! DO YOUR JOB correctly and people wouldn’t need to moan, very simple. Rude reception staff Emma I made add. Honestly go to a better doctors but they care enough about their patients health. RIDICULOUS

After realising late at night that I had run out of my daily prescription medicine, I emailed the surgery and then called them first thing in the morning. Within half an hour of my call they had sent over my prescription to a pharmacy closer to my work so I was able to retrieve it quickly without missing a day! The receptionist I spoke with was incredibly helpful and efficient and really put my mind at ease. Thank you so much!

Spoke to Dr Natalie N today who is still working. I was very scared about my symptoms and feel so unwell. She was so kind and patient with me. She listened to everything I said. She helped me so much today, not just with my illness but practically and helped facilitate a plan B in case I need one. Wanted to say thank you to her and everyone a the Stanford..

I left my previous surgery due to the terrible care of both of my parents. Since I’ve been at SMC the care has been wonderful. Reception staff are always welcoming and friendly. My assigned Dr is amazing. We’ve built up a great rapport and he takes the time to treat me as a person, rather than just a patient. No hesitation in giving this surgery 5 stars!

I have been coming to this Medical Centre for over 26 years and have always received amazing care for my family and I. I personally, see two female Doctors at the practice who have been wonderful. There is a Pharmacy onsite which is great to have and the staff are always friendly and professional. The worst thing is the parking and that Parking Eye which is the only negative!!

I don't understand the poor reviews I've seen from some regarding this practice. I've been with the Stanford surgery for 17 years and have been very happy with them overall. I almost always manage to see the doctor I've requested, on the day I wanted. My preferred doctors are always attentive and helpful. I get reminders for reviews, and I find the nurses and support staff good. My only complaint would be about the car park management contractor. Last year I attended twice in one day, in my car. I was sent a penalty notice for overstaying in the car park - their system timed me from my first arrival in the morning, to my second departure in the afternoon! Challenging this was straightforward online, but getting a response and confirmation that the penalty was cancelled, took weeks, with repeated requests for a reply. Very annoying.

Happy to drug your child with Ritalin and take your information, happy to hand out drugs to closet addicts but if you're one of the few people with real neurological conditions causing serious mental health issues then you got to just deal with it until you simply become another suicide statistic. I really do hate these type of people, they drug everyone who doesn't need it and ignore everyone who does they don't care about people they care about impressing people with their superficial position in life. Funny thing is world would be better of without places like this.

Amazing staff and service. Clean and tidy waiting rooms, very organized and on time. This GP is linked with the University of Brighton, the surgery at cockroft also shows amazing service and staff that accommodate you above and beyond. Very grateful.

Some awful doctors at the practice and there is a long wait to be seen by the same GP. Only decent GPs I've seen here are locums. Also closes at 6pm so you have to take time off or lunch to see a doctor.

Reception is friendly but booked an appointment with the wrong doctor. She was rude and unhelpfully and complained that I need to see my previous doctor for my follow up on my medication and didn't listen when I said a mistake had been made. I also wanted to talk about a problem I have been having and she seemed annoyed and referred me to the NSH website for help and printed off some paperwork from there. The whole appointment took 5 min max and is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever been to. Never coming back there.

Like others not sure of the poor reviews. Always responsive, friendly and efficient. From clinical to support staff. Perhaps some people have very unrealistic expectations but I have moved around frequently and can honestly say this is the best practice I have ever come across.

Appalling attitude to patients- no interest in helping and taking action. Heaven help you if you have more than one ailment that needs to be discussed. You’ll be asked to make a separate appointment. There are much better surgeries out there. Stear clear

Absolutely dreadful. Expect to be seen 15 mins after scheduled appt time by a registrar who takes ignorance to the nth degree. Zero interest in the person who happens to be the patient and in need of care and attention. Everything, including bothering to read your notes, is too much trouble. Book with a doctor, refuse an appt with the registrar.
