I’m newly registered at this doctors and every experience has been pleasant so far. Both nurses I have seen have been lovely and when I ring up the receptionists aren’t standoffish as I’ve experienced before.

Phoned up Monday morning to put repeat prescription in struggled but managed to walk down the chemist on Wednesday to be told not there so I phone doctors to be told the receptionist didn't even put it through on Monday absolutely disgusting ???? if they can't do there job they shouldn't be working there always a problem with the same receptionist and if you say anything to her you get a letter about behaviour towards staff

Ive been with this GP for years. I have no issues . All staff including drs, nurses etc are always friendly and pleasant. Everyone has their off days, were all human. I cant fault them.

The nurse who does blood tests (her name is Sue) is absolutely amazing! She has done mine 3/4 times now with no troubles and is really patient with me as I have a phobia of both needles and blood.

You can’t see your own doctor as there’s only 1 doctor on duty !! But they can get you in westcoates when you feel poorly it’s quite upsetting to be fobbed off

I moved here because I was very unhappy with my old surgery. I have found this one to be great. Starts with the nurses and reception staff. I have had the help and feel I am being listened to. I feel more comfortable and not just a number (not just doing by numbers in 5 minutes). One doctor has been great. I would recommend. Seeing how it progresses and see if I can add another star.

Think it ridiclous that too get a repeat prescription you have too go in and ask for it, then go back in 48 hours later to pick it up this could easily be done over the phone. People that are old or people with mental health issues sometimes have issues leaving there homes. Also why is the heating always on in reception when it's hot outside

Absolutely awful! Avoid this Gp practice. I have never been spoken to so rudely, the staff are just plain nasty. Trying to get an appointment is nearly impossible and repeat prescriptions are a joke. I went to collect my prescription one evening to find out that it wasn't ready and the doctor had "taken my prescription off site" so another doctor could not sign it there and then. The tablets I am taking cannot be stopped and need to be weaned off gradually. The staff couldn't give a hoot. I stated I wanted to make a complaint. The staff refused to tell me the practice manager's name and refused to give me their name also. I returned the next day and asked for the practice manager, instead I got the "office manager" who was very unprofessional. I asked to discuss the situation in private and she said "no" and took me into the corridor and I had to discuss this while other people were walking through to the doctor, she then took me into the waiting room, which was full of people and continued to discuss in front of everyone my prescription and I was extremely embarrassed. Once again I asked for the practice manager's name, it was given to me but just by coincidence he was "on holiday" for 2 weeks. I got my prescription eventually and went home. Amazingly 4 days later I got a letter from groby road medical centre stating that my behaviour was "not acceptable" and zero tolerance for speaking rudely to staff was mentioned also. I was not rude or used bad language, I simply was persistent and repeated that I wished to make a complaint. The absolute cheek. I moved GP practice and the new gp practice is brilliant and the staff are very friendly.

This review is based on the appointment I had today. Needed to make an appointment with the nurse but due to sickness and that the nurse covering this does not work Wednesday (my only day off)it left a bit of a dilemma but the receptionist I spoke to was extremely helpful and realised I could book in with a different team member to have the test I needed. I was a little apprehensive but the lady I saw today is an absolute credit to your team she put me at ease straight away and is very approachable and easy to talk to. Thank you

I’ve been calling since last Friday just to get an appointment and the automated answering machine is asking for extension number which I am not aware of, and have no idea what that is.. newly registered here it’s been more than 1 month I was told I will receive a call for a regular check up, haven’t been even informed if I got registered. So disappointed

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING DOCTORS. I’ve recently moved house which means I’ve had to change doctors. Never had a problem with my previous doctors. Yet this one I’ve been ringing up for three days straight, they tell me to call back in the morning for an appointment and keep referring me to a different doctors. I need this one as it’s close, I ring up early today as they stated I have too. The phone got put down on me twice when I finally got through a very rude receptionist told me I have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Absolutely disgusting. I hadn't visited this surgery for some time because I had moved away and then back again into the surrounding area. In that time this surgery seems to have gone from below average to very good. My new doctor actually takes the time to understand your issue and doesn't make you feel rushed. The reception staff were efficient and the lady I spoke to about went out of her way to find a slot for me that was convenient and worked around my busy schedule. Great improvement overall.

Hello I just want to share my experience with this place. Unfortunately I can't get appointments when I need. Blood tests is only in the mornings doctor appointments as well. So this place is not for people who work usual hours 8-4 or 9-5.

Very unprofesional better management you Will find at asda my girlfrend got a cancer stage3 So its very stressfull she had opointmen to get zoldex at local GP opointmen made olmost two week ago Royal hospital send the letter on top she went to get the jab and she been send back home becouse GP didnt have the medical she was told wait for the Phone call some one gone contact you befor 1 a clock at 2 25 i ring them up i benn told sorry it Will be avaiable tomorrow after 11 a clock when i ask what happen manager sąd to me it was a error i spoken to Royal hospital and the person on other end sey to me the GP can collect that from them the manager said she got other dutties about 15 minute after i whent to GP all manager go home that was her other dutties i feelt very a gry i feelt like a number very low So if any body need to join GP at Groby Road think twice

Absolutely awful! Being a college student, I struggle to find appointments that suit my busy schedule and once I found an appointment, I clear up that time. Bear that in mind for this review... I had an appointment around July for my medication and was able to see a doctor perfectly but when I tried to book another appointment for the start of September for a renew of my tablets, I was told i had to wait over a month for another appointment. So, today I attended that booking and visited reception, to be told that my appointment was cancelled without any notice given to me and once asked if I could reschedule for another time this month, I got told that i couldn't get another appointment until November. This is completely ridiculous and better services should be available to the public.

This service has totally failed, the new appointment system does not work. you need to know at least 3 days in advance if you are going to be ill. It has some wonderful doctors that are totally unable to do their job because of how the service is run.

People at reception friendly, appointment quick, only issue was that it was useless. Doctor told me my throat is just a little red when I know for sure I have white blobs in my throat, she was also treating me like she was scared she was going to get sick and was only trying to get rid off me.

Just terrible service! Should be open from Monday from 7:45am... Every Monday when i have tried to call for appointment they are not open at 7:45am.. it’s more around 9am ... I’m trying to call for few hours now, and then just gave up and went there and it’s closed... this is not the first time like that in Monday! . If your opening times are changed at Monday’s then you should let people know!!! Also to get appointment need to call ONLY in early morning, even when you go to talk face to face they are not giving you appointment, what kind of place is that? Some people are not allowed to take phone at working place, so it’s possible to call only after shift which ends at 2pm, but then again they telling you, that need to call only in the morning at 7:45, so how it’s possible to get appiotment if your even don’t pick up the phone especially in Monday’s ?! Never seen so stupid appiotment system as Groby road med. Center.... everyone’s complaining about that. You should change your system it’s NOT normal!

This is the worst gp practice i ever had ..i dont know how am i going to get a same day appt. I try not to go there but have got no choice . I had been trying for 45 minites to get an appt for my daughter. Have no idea . I dont know how can I change my surgery to a better one. Supposed to be starting from 8 am but you never .find any body attending from 8am.Really finding difficult with young children.

Couldnt call me to give results of a blood test i had been anxiously waiting for but can find time to ring and say speak to Dr because cholesterol levels a bit high. Had Salmonella food poisioning confirmed but was left to self medicate. Can never get a same day appointment as phone line permantely engaged from 7.45am until 8.05 by which time all appointments gone. Now they have "a list" if your problem not on that list you cant be seen that day. After 25 years time to change surgery,not the same place since Dr.Lucraft retired

Cannot get an appointment. Only open until 12 on Wednesday, late appointments only on a Thursday. The receptionist keep asking us to go to the nhs hub. The nhs hub won’t do anything as they are not the usual Gp. Waste of time!

My wife tried to book me an appointment for my high blood pressure which is a concern to me.she was told to tell me to go to the hub.which i had previously been to where the docter there checked my blood pressure amd said i should see my own gp as he was treating me for another ailment.i do not see how a receptionist can diagnose me over a phone to not want to give me an appointment
