My fiancée and I were extremely pleased with the engagement ring and overall service we recently got from Simon Wright Jewellery. I initially found Simon’s workshop after having visited several other jewellers in London – a couple of well-known high street jewellers plus various shops on Hatton Garden. None of those had really appealed (the slightly hard sell approach of the Hatton Garden stores was a turn-off while the high street places didn’t feel personal enough), however finding Simon was a breath of fresh air. He was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and gave me plenty of time to ask questions about the diamonds and ring design process and let me look at various diamonds under microscope and magnifying glass. He was also patient enough to put up with my total of three (I think) visits to the workshop before I finally selected the diamond. I proposed with just the diamond (which was provided with a nice presentation box). We then made use of the bespoke ring design process which Simon offers which we both really enjoyed. The set-up is that you can design the ring (with his guidance!) using his computer and 3D printer. We made use of this and although we went with a pretty classic design in the end, it was great to have the flexibility to experiment with a few different designs. It also felt really beneficial that we knew Simon was doing the work on the ring himself: the ‘shop’ is really more of a workshop with the various tools in situ where the rings and other jewellery gets made. Overall, we would both highly recommend Simon Wright Jewellery and we will be returning in due course for our wedding bands!

I cannot recommend SW jewellers highly enough - from the very start learning about the process and 'journey', Simon taught me about all aspects of the engagement ring I had in mind, and then worked with me to create the exact one I wanted. The other 4/5 places I visited prior to SW did not come close. Don't do anything until you've visited Simon! Tom

I worked with Simon to design my (now) wife's engagement ring and both of our wedding rings, which he then crafted. It was a wonderful experience to work with him throughout and he has created three excellent rings which get admiration from all quarters.

Simon is a true artisan; he took our ideas, and brought them to life. Nothing was a problem for him, be it having stones cut to a different shape, or adding special engraving to the bands. He delivered exactly what we wanted, and was happy to work within our budget and timeframe. Hannah and Simon are both exceptionally professional, friendly and down to earth. They responded quickly to all our requests - you couldn't ask for better service! The CAD process they use means you can see exactly what the rings will look like before committing to a design, and they even 3D printed a model of the engagement ring for me so I could try it on. I would definitely recommend Simon Wright Jewellery to anybody who needs bespoke jewellery made. The whole process was so enjoyable, we will treasure these rings for life. You can stop looking now! I went to Simon back in October / November 2014 to buy an engagement ring. I knew absolutely nothing about diamonds or engagement rings and I found him from a random google search. We chatted over email for a few days so he could get an idea about my budget and what diamonds I wanted to see. I basically told him I hadn't a clue so he suggested a few different cuts and suggested I google them before arriving. I realised at that time that I knew my girlfriend's Pinterest password and she had pinned a few engagement rings so that helped too! Once there, Simon spent about an hour with me. He first explained all I needed to know about diamonds (cut, clarity, etc.) and then showed me a few that were around my price range. We then began talking about the style of ring I wanted and spent about 40 minutes looking through CAD drawings of previous rings he had designed and sketching out what I thought I wanted. I changed my mind a few times during that session and he never made me feel like I was being a pain. Once we finalised the design, he spent about a week or two putting it into a CAD program and then emailed me life-like images of the ring. Once I paid 50% up front, he took about 4-5 weeks to make it. The other 50% was paid on collection. Needless to say, my wife absolutely loved it! I liked Simon so much that we went back to him for our wedding rings. As we weren't sure what style we wanted (and Simon has a small workshop, not a store with racks of rings) we went to Hatton Garden first to take a look at what options we had. Once we decided what we wanted and the price range, we went back to Simon to make it for us. As expected, he came in well below the prices quoted to us in Hatton Garden, and his service is 100 times better. Again the rings took a few weeks to make and 50% was required up front. I've been recommending Simon to everyone I know getting engaged / married. He's very friendly and offers free cleaning or resizing whenever you're in the area (Hatton Garden places offer it once a year). I bought my wife an antique gold charm for our wedding day and he even put that on for free for her. You're not going to find better, so do yourself a favour and book an appointment.
