Cheap aperetifs, beer comes in a chilled glass (enough for a 5 star review on its own quite frankly). Wine also available on draft and good value. Steaks on the bone pretty expensive but not if you pitch it against Goodman or similar. Best value by far are the skinny chops. You only need 3 (or 4 if you're starving). 6th Rib steak is a bargain. All sides are excellent. Order with impunity! Oh and the special Xmas sarnie is £12.

went for late sunday lunch, during covid 10pm curfew. Brilliant roast lunches all round, cheesecake to die for, absolutely stuffed as It was so good, cocktails/drinks great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldnt fault the evening, and very reasonable bill so well done all

Visited on a week night and the two of us went for the 'all in' option, followed by the white chocolate and rubarb cheesecake from the dessert trolley. It is so unusual to see chops on a menu in the UK and they really are an underrepresented cut of meat. The starters were really nice and exceeded my expectations, we had pork, lamb and beef chops of which pork was my favourite. For sides we chose fries and little gems which I felt although nice were underwhelming and very small in portion size. The dessert was amazing and should be tried. Over all I would recommend trying this place, the restaurant is a little cramped but that did not take away from the quality of the food. It was expensive for what I ordered (£26 including dessert). There is then another 12.5% added to the bill as an optional service charge which when I asked for it to be removed was questioned by the waiter, this annoyed me as it is optional and I should not feel pressured into paying it.

Booked through Open Table for a lunch before going to The Palladium for matinee show. Very convenient. We went for the 'All In' which was very good value at £20 per head. Efficient and courteous staff. Good quality food. Interesting basement set-up.

Fantastic service and roast!!
Booked our lunch here a few weeks ago and it didn't disappoint, service from Ben was second to none, fun, great atmosphere and the roast is very large. Perfect for a cold winters day out shopping. Its hard to find a great restaurant that has fantastic service and food without having to pay a lot these days. Big thank you to the team that made our lunch what it was! We will be back!

If I had one word ro describe their Sunday roast, it would have to 'AMAZING!'. My wife and I shared their 'All In' roast, which was cooked to perfection and delicious. They're very generous with their gravy, which was hearty, rich and mouth-watering. I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to finish our meal, but both our plates were polished clean. It is on the pricier side, but worth every penny. Sundays are extremely busy, so I'd recommend booking beforehand. To get a better idea of what the roast looks like, search for Blacklock in YouTube (Food Insider have a couple of videos).

Amazing Sunday roast...hostess (from Bondi beach) was kind enough to squeeze us in and we were not disappointed! 5 stars across the board...food and service were incredible! ....and best of luck to our Italian waitress! It was her last day...

I wanted to share my review as my boyfriend and I had the such a good experience at Blacklock on Friday night. I had previously spoken to Lauren over email and she was absolutely amazing, doing all she could to help out with our request. We received a warm welcome and then our waiter (not sure his name) was so friendly and gave really good recommendations. The food was amazing - especially the prime rib. The service really made the evening. Thanks again Lauren :)

Great food with knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The Soho site is perfect for dining but may be a bit on the cramped side.
The meat on offer come as chops, boneless or porterhouse style.
Both cash and card is accepted. And they also have cocktails starting at £5.
There is a discounted menu on Mondays so book ahead and there is only one dessert offering which is a lively homemade style cheesecake with a berry compote. A meal for two with a couple of drinks is about £35,but we'll worth it.
They are also kind enough to make an effort if it's your birthday!!!

Went with friends and I can say that meat is good. The Italian waiter was really friendly and helpful with the menu.
What ruined the experience was a very rude guy at the entrance (apparently the restaurant manager) that told us if we “knew how queues work” probably because I’m italian? Who knows after waiting more then an hour after they said us that on a Wednesday we didn’t need to book a table.
The bill was also wrong as you can see in the picture. In the menu the app in says that bites are included but they charged us 12£ more. I didn’t complained because I didn’t want to be treated rudely again.

Staff were lovely and accommodating. Cocktails were fantastic and only £5, can't get that anywhere in London. The starters were really good especially the pig's cheek on toast. However, the roast itself was below average. The roast beef was okay but nothing special. Do not get the lamb or pork roasts, really poor. The veg was bland. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and crispy and not fluffy enough. The gravy was amazing, super tasty and saved the roast! For dessert the white chocolate cheesecake was delicious. Also not great for vegetarians as they were not fully satisfied either. Overall, expected much more from supposedly the best roast in London. You get your money's worth but definitely prefer Hawksmoor's Sunday roast. And also have had much better roasts in a couple of pubs in Yorkshire and Lake District.

Food was delicious! Had the All In with a Dry Old Fashion. Did not know it existed but damn was it good. Oliver and Josh were great at taking care of us and suggesting items from the menu. A definite must go when in London, definitely will return when I cross the pond in the future.

Butchers price on Mondays and £5 cocktails everyday. What more do you want? Steak is just as good as Hawksmoor and Goodman but am not a big fan of the little chops. Just make sure you book first.

Wanted to be critical as loyal to other establishments in the vicinity. What can I say: the meat was epic; cooked well, a tiny bit on the cold side but was a busy restaurant. Sides were delicious, starters were average but our host, Amy, was amazing and kindly gave us a small portion of cheese cake as we were too fat and lazy to order a full serving. Highly recommend ????????

Went for the all in option which is £20pp. Ridiculously good value for some of the best tasting meat I have eaten. Literally went to some sort of food heaven and the sides were delicious too. Then to be offered a pudding of white chocolate cheesecake, quite possibly the best cheesecake I have ever eaten. And to top it all you can get cocktails like an old fashioned for £5 each. Couldn't recommend this place more! And the waiter for so friendly and provided a fantastic service throughout the evening!

Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast here today. Had to wait a few minutes before my table was ready, but the staff were prompt, friendly and just generally lovely.
My drink and food arrived quickly and wow. I'm rather fussy when it comes to roast potatoes, but this place really delivers. The Yorkshire pudding is *massive* and tastes great.
I don't think I have any negative points about the food or service. Will definitely be coming back.

This is now becoming my staple on each trip to London. This restaurant knows how to make their meat and make sure you have a great time. Each bite of every dish is mouth watering. The dimly lit, cool tune playing restaurant is always full. Looking forward to my next dinner!

Love this restaurant, meat is really really good, service is great, cocktails are a little different, which is nice for a change. Definitely worth a visit if you like a nice chunk of meat! Recommend the chop sauce to go with it too, it's sooo good. The big chops are sold by weight, and available sizes are listed on blackboards in the restaurant. Once they're sold, they get crossed off the board. Great to know the meat is fresh!

If you're looking for the meat sweats, look no further! My recommendation would be to go for the All In. You get 3 starter "bites", a mountain of chops and steak, and two sides to go along with it. All for £20 per head. Easily worth it for the amount of food you get! The broccoli & courgette, and the sweet potato sides were excellent. The chips were "only" very good.

Food, drinks, atmosphere - everything was great! The place is cozy and relaxed. The dishes are not very sophisticated - for example we reived a mountain of meat, but was soooo delicious. The cheesecake here is exceptional (both in taste and the way it's served). Only small criticism I have is that it became way too noisy later in the evening, making it a bit hard to have a conversation. Overall highly recommended place.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeart! This restaurant is an absolutely MUST for anyone! I visited Blacklock with my wife from out of town to celebrate her birthday. We were greeted by Oliver and taken care of by Holly at the restaurant. Both of which had amazing personalities, upbeat energy, and great sense of humour! They really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time (not even knowing we were celebrating a bday) and felt welcome. The food was FANTASTIC! From the stater all the way to the cheesecake dessert, everything was ON POINT! We had the prime rib for dinner and the meat quality and the cooking of the meat was out of this world! Cooked perfectly throughout and the sides paired perfectly with the meal. Holly really took the time to explain everything on the menu and to ensure we ordered the perfect pairing. She even went through some of the beer selections and had a great laugh as I ordered the Blacklock Brew which is an interesting beer, kind of like cider but still went well with the meal. Thanks for the great experience Blacklock, Holly, and Oliver!
