Worth the money, really good environment. But the quality of the meat is not as good as other places but considering the money and vibe its really really good. Will come again! The lamb and chips is perfect!

I went here for a family birthday and didnt know what to expect. the walk down the stairs is a bit difficult with a pram but we managed and is definately worth the fuss. The food here is amazing and really well cooked. I would love to come back and try either the roast or the burgers!

Also had Grapefruit Shirley Temple for drink and Rhubarb Cheesecake both of which I def would recommend

Food was excellent, cocktails were excellent and Joshua was the best host we have ever had.
He was completely attentive to our drinks, let us try 3 different wines which he set up in a mini wine tasting before we decided which one we liked. We asked for our steak rare and when one end came out medium rare apologised profusely and gave us a free cheesecake. Haven't felt as well looked after leaving a restaurant in a long while.
If I could give the experience a 6 out of 5 I would. Food was amazing and how we were treated really made it extra special.
Can't wait to come back and I can't give it the praise it deserves in a review.

The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent! Will definitely be going back when in London again! We got the All In and it was a small mountain of food, 3 different meats, potatoes and steamed veggies. The gravy added an extra level of flavor as well

Good meats!
You have a choice of ordering skinny chops or big cuts here. Skinny chops are 100g at 4 pounds each. 3 skinny chops are recommended per person for a meal.
However, the best deal would be there all in 20 pound meal which includes 4 chops per person. If you prefer specific meats, you can request for some to be swapped. The all in meal comes with all three starters (kimchee and pork, egg and onion, blue cheese and salad) which are all very nice. Each person gets a side; we chose the baked baby potato and chargrilled baby gem, which were both fantastic. The meats were all done to perfection.
Would highly recommend this place. Have visited twice within a month.

Such a treat coming here for the Sunday roast. The food was out of this world and being served by a fellow kiwi is the icing on the cake. We shared the grilled squid with bone marrow and All In roast option and they were wonderful.
My favorite was the roast pork with cracking and apple sauce on the side, 10/10 for the cracking. The beef and lamb were also delicious and went fantastically well with the gravy and Yorkshire pudding. The best part is you can ask for extra gravy!!!

Good popular steakhouse. Everything was really great, good service but two things they need to work on. 1) Béarnaise sauce at a place liked this should be homemade. 2) Even if the staff was 100% service minded sometimes it felt like they wore in a hurry to go get the next customer so we felt a bit stressed to drink up the wine. But overall really good place and friendly staff.

The food here is excellent. The beef topped with kimchi for starter was particularly good. We chose the all in platter, with grilled lettuce and sweet potatoes. All of it was delicious and would order again. Coupled with £5 for an old fashioned and you can't go wrong.
4 stars as they had run out of chips.

Love Blacklock, very nice atmosphere, food is Amazing, tried a lot of different dishes that were very tasty.
The customer service is so Great, Rob at the réception was very welcoming, Aga was very friendly and helpful on foods and wines.

Had an absolutely amazing meal here. Table was booked for half 1, but we had to wait half an hour as the previous occupants hadn’t finished their meal. To their credit, the staff went WAY above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience and sorted out a few things for us.
The food was superb. We opted for the £20 set menu and got the biggest plate of meat I think I’ve ever seen. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the garlic and bone marrow side - delicious! The chips were the best I’ve had in years - triple cooked in beef dripping.
They have an excellent selection of wine - for a small restaurant I couldn’t fault it.
Lastly, the cheesecake - OMG. It comes as an empty bowl and your server SPOONS it out of a massive dish for you. Really really nice too!!!

This place is fantastic, unless you're a vegan.
I took my brother here for dinner and we loved it. We tried the skinny chops and a bone in prime chop and it was all delicious. If you are a bit strapped for cash, go on a Monday as it's butchers prices and you really save some money. Any time of the week though they have a good range of drinks at good prices. A great spot. You will need to reserve a table though.

Great restaurant. Food was excellent, the meat was amazing and all the sides were delicious. The cocktails were very good and a really good price. Service was spot on, we never felt rushed or waited too long.
Gets very very busy so definitely book if you don't want to be disappointed, can get very loud but not so you can't hear each other speak.

Our second time visit here. We missed Sunday roast due to full booking so we came back here on Monday for lunch. We ordered Denver cut steak which was excellent. High quality meat, very well prepared, friendly and excellent services. Really good quality, inexpensive, and fun experience.

The cocktails were very, very nice, the meat was pretty nice and sometimes quite average, the sides were quite horrible though. We ordered broccoli and chips. The broccoli was burnt, like eating charcoal and the most of the chips were the dried up thin pieces. It would be 3 stars but it was quite expensive which lowers the rating.

Fantastic cellar meat parlour with exceptional chops, superb steaks, and cracking service. Go on a Monday for discounts on the beef cuts. The prime rib is delicious, and the homemade-style puddings are delightfully sinful. Had a white chocolate cheesecake that was filthy in the best possible way. Wasn't overly enamoured with the pre-meal bites, but if you're in a sharing mood the All In platter is a great way to sample the menus highlights for not too much money.

There is a 3 month wait for there roast and I can honestly see why. The portions are amazing and great value for money. The meat was cooked perfectly (all 3 different types). I think in London sometimes it's rare to find a place that has all 3 (location, food and service) blacklock is miles ahead and it shows. The small restaurants uses the space wisely to make you feel comfortable. The warm greeting you get when you arrive and the person who takes you items to the clock room. The waitress that explains the menu then decided to joke around with you all night and join in with a cheeky shot. Then follow this all up with a mountain of well cooked, fresh food that you can really taste the love behind it. The kitchen was turning out roast after roast each time getting bigger and better. The extras where amazing and worth having and every detail was taken care of. I wish this place was available more often as it's the place to go and worth anyone who is visiting or local to go to.

We went for the 'all in' and we were not disappointed with the meat! It's a good dish to get to try their different meats. They were all cooked well and I was very happy.
The starter and sides were a bit of a disappointment but the meat makes up for it.
Also like that you can book or leave your number. It wasn't too noisy or crowded in there.

#EPIC is the term i would describe their Sunday Lunch roast. Seduced by their social media video, three of us shared the platter which came with cuts of perfectly roasted beef, pork and lamb.

Definitely the best Sunday roast I have tried so far. The service was very efficient, quick and very friendly. The food was excellent with big juicy chunks of meat cooked just right and served with some great vegetables which on our visit were caramelized carrots, tenderstem broccoli and mushrooms. The all important roast potatoes were good - soft and fluffy on the inside and a good enough crunch on the outside. Portion sizes were big so just two courses - main and dessert will fill you for over a day. The cheesecake was divine and I can't wait to try the bread and butter pudding next time. Only one negative - it takes months to get a table reservation!

Now I can see why the Sunday roast must be booked in advance, I went for the all in which was generous lashing of lamb, pork and beef which was accompanied with huge Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and some veg. I would also recommend the cheesecake for dessert which was delicious!

On a normal night i literally love this place the food is so great, i had seen that blacklock had been one of the top Sunday Roasts in London, so we booked it (6 weeks was the wait) and went last week... in all honesty.... didnt wow me, Although scallops with black puddong sooo good i then had the lamb Roast (sunday offers limited sunday menu) was a bit too rare for me, but in terms of value for money it was so good- £20!!! As i said this place is FANTASTIC... WELL AND TRUELY but i would suggest going when they are offering the full menu, because tbe food is so great, and the staff so friendly! Personal Pics = Sunday lunch the other week!!!

Tasty food if you love your meat! The kimchi pork pre chop bite was especially mind blowing. We went for the all in and there was so much food even when we ordered 4 portions for 5 people! Friendly service and they made sure we were well hydrated.

No line at 2:15 pm on a rainy Sunday! Concise menu of...steak. Just two choices of cut, and our table all opted for the rib eye. Bit more “sanitized” than ones in the US...boneless and tempered sear. Reminds me of Japanese steak. Comes with a side of lambs lettuce in a tin cup. If you’re serious about wine, opt for beer.

The food was absolutely beautiful and the service was fantastic. In fact the service was so great when we were about to pay our bill we noticed another table were having some sort of dessert and asked the waitress what it was. She told us it was a white cheesecake and as she had the card machine in her hand we just decided to pay even though my husband was clearly conflicted about staying and having the cheesecake! We paid the bill and we were waiting for our bags (we had been shopping all day and they had stored our bags for us) and all of a sudden the waitress bought a portion of the white chocolate cheesecake over to us and said she couldn’t let us not try it. Not only was that a really nice touch, the dessert itself was 10/10, seriously delicious! I would highly recommend this place for the amazing food and great service.

Went for the all in (£20), which includes 3 canapés, a lot of meat, bread and 1 side. Alright its relatively well priced, left feeling a bit hungover from all of the over salted chops. The sides were really good though.

This is easily a hundred stars out of five! Where do I even start from!!??? It was my husband's birthday and we were lucky enough to find the 12pm slot available for Sunday roast on the Friday before.
As soon as we got in, we were received with utmost joy! After learning we were there for a birthday celebration, that joy just went through the roof. Josh was in charge of our table. He is the warmest person ever! Our cocktails were on the house and so was the desert. We had the all in roast(only £20pp) which was the best serving of beef pork and lamb we have had yet. The Yorkshire pudding that came with the roast was awesome! And the cheesecake! I saw many reviews about the white chocolate berries cheesecake and it was so much worth the hype!
In short, my husband and I have pledged to make this place our roast tradition. Awesome value for money and best customer service ever. It's pretty busy so book and show up on time.

Sorry, but I think this place doesn't know HOW TO COOK MEAT. We had "All In" menu. Beef, pork, lamb were all there but cooked without any proper care for each type of meat. They all tasted simmilar and too tough. Still can't believe we paid 20 pounds per person for those poor meats. Starter dish was alright but bit salty. The only thing I liked about this place was nice and fast serving by servers who kept their kind and smiley faces all the time.

Best roast dinner ever!! This place is incredible, the most amazing roast dinner. It’s booked well in advance but we got a lucky last minute cancellation for my girlfriend’s birthday. We had the “all-in” and the portion served was generous and all cooked to perfection. My girlfriend also tried the breakfast martini which she really enjoyed and said it was refreshing. Staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for everyone. A definite recommend!!!

My partner and I had been wanting to visit Blacklock for the famous Sunday Roast for months but it was booked up (until Feb!) so we decided to go last night for her birthday and it was definitely worth the wait. The service, food and cocktails were outstanding! We never really write reviews but the service was SO good we felt we had to and here’s why;
- From the time of the booking the staff were so kind and made suggestions to make my partners birthday experience even more special.
- When we arrived my partner was waiting for a call from her GP and Holly offered to bring us a cocktail up to the seated area where there was better signal (above and beyond)
- Our server Aga was warm, friendly, knowledgable, patient and really made our evening fun. There were time restrictions with Covid but she ensured we were well informed and made some excellent suggestions for us. We never felt rushed.
- Although we didn’t meet the chefs personally a big hats off to them too. The lamb chops, pork chops and prime rib (700g is plenty for two people sharing) and ALL the sides were yum. Oh and the white chocolate dessert: exceptional... (Basically everything on the menu)
- Cocktails were delicious (£5!) and really well presented so thank you bar staff also.
We paid £140 (inc service) for the both of us and ate and drank pretty much everything on the menu (it was a birthday after all) but you could easily spend half that and still have a wonderful time. I write this as we have been to restaurants recently and paid that just for the wine and it has been nowhere near as good as this place.
Hats off to all the staff there who made our evening so special and in particular Holly & Aga. Because of you both we will certainly be returning and would highly recommend Blacklock to anyone.

Such a great idea! Chops cooked to perfection with such amazing sides. Felt like I was back in Cape Town eating chops fresh off the bbq/braai.
A nice vibe, great for an intimate dinner for two or larger groups for a birthday celebration.
Staff are also super friendly and attentive - don’t think my water glass was ever empty.
