Second purchase from this company. Expected delivery within 2-5 days, very impressed it arrived the next day. Lovely packaged 'Man Box' for a birthday gift. The recipient was very impressed with both the presentation of the box and the contents. Will definitely use again for future gifts.

WOW!! What an experience!! This company BoroughBox exceeded my expectations!! Wanted to surprise a friend in the UK with some crisp (Bonilla La Vista) had heard they were the best in the world here in Florida. BoroughBox delivered them in less than 24 hours, so fast, I hadn't had a chance to let her know they were on the way. Catarina was extremely helpful, she even suggested other "best selling" items. I would in a heart beat use BoroughBox again and again and again!! Now how do I get them to ship to the US????

I recently received one of these as a gift out of the blue, from my brother. It was a great and most welcome surprise as it contained two of my favourite things: beer and snacks! I was so impressed I ended up buying a gift box for my sister-in-law and family, to help cheer them up during the challenges we're all currently facing. It didn't cost the earth, and the selection available is fantastic.

Fabulous buying experience. I placed an order on Saturday afternoon for next day delivery. I stupidly didn’t add the right delivery address. I emailed Customer Service to ask if the address could be changed. Amazingly, Lisa messaged back on Monday to say address corrected and item delivered successfully on Tuesday! Will definitely use Boroughbox again!

The order arrived weeks late which was frustrating but not the end of the world as it still arrived in time for Christmas. However the real let down was the package itself. It was in a cheap looking cardboard box and not at all like the advertised box which looked wooden. The individual bottles inside had been forced into slots with foam packaging whether they properly fit or not which meant the box arrived misshapen. Several of the labels had been put on wonky. The whole thing looked like it had been put together in a slapdash manner without any proper care or attention. I felt truly embarrassed to give this as a present especially as I thought it would be a special gift. I take no pleasure in writing bad reviews but there we are. I cannot give it the lowest mark as it did actually arrive and I assume the drinks were acceptable (it was a present so I cannot be sure). I would certainly hesitate before ordering from them again. The lesson here is don’t bite off more than you can chew and don’t accept orders you will have difficulty fulfilling!

Half my order was missing. I've been waiting 5 days for a reply by email; the phone number they publish just goes to a recorded message saying "please email us". I don't know why they bother to publish a phone number. EDIT: They did eventually make good after some prompting. Added another star.

If the zero star rank were available, I’d rank them zero. I ordered 4 weeks ago an the package hasn’t been delivered yet Extremely disappointing as it was supposed to be a present. They don’t respond to emails, nor any form of communication. Supposedly, they went to deliver the product and instead of calling to ask the floor number they just left. They want the delivery to be paid again and for that they send an not-working link, without giving any responses. Overall experience very unfortunate.

My husband received a 3 month subscription from his work, so we don’t have anyone to complain to, but he’s vegan and ordered the vegan box. We’ve received 2 boxes now that have had 2 non-vegan things in them, and this month’s even had duck skin cracklings! This was very upsetting and we urge Borough Box to make sure they’re paying close attention to their orders. The 6/8 vegan items we’ve received have been good, but when it’s supposed to be 8/8 it’s just not good enough.

I can see lots of people complaining about late deliveries... when they ordered late for Christmas during a pandemic! Not sure what they expect. But my experience was fantastic, the selection of snacks was of the more hard to find and unusual which I loved very much, beautifully packaged and the beer was great!

Ordered a box to be delivered for my sisters birthday and nothing arrived - terrible service as they later put a notice on the website saying they couldn’t deliver until after Christmas - if they had put this on earlier I would never have placed the order. Hard to get hold of ... all I want now is a refund but not holding my breath. I appreciate that this is a difficult time but many other companies are able to deliver or are upfront about this.

Oh dear what’s happened at borough box? Like many many reviews before me, ordered Christmas presents on 9th December and nothing has been delivered yet. Appreciate it’s a tricky time for many businesses but all other gifts arrived that were ordered online without any issue. However it’s customer service that has really let the company down. Have used several times before but this could be the last.

Really disappointed. Ordered two boxes in early December to be delivered as Christmas presents on 22nd December. The boxes didn't arrive until 31st December. I had no notice or apology that delivery would be delayed and, a week later, no one has responded to my complaint either. I would not recommend using them if you need an item for a specific occasion as clearly they can't be relied on and won't make it right if something does go wrong.

I ordered a hamper from these robots 9/12/20, was advised delivery would be before Christmas. Was assuming they meant this Christmas. 29/12/20, still waiting. Worst of all - there is nobody you can talk to. Automated answer on the phone. No responses from 3 emails. DONT USE THESE !

Order placed on Dec 8th and still waiting for it. 4 emails (and counting) and no response. Yet you continue to: - send out emails advertising gift certificates etc. - post about more stuff to buy from you - update your Facebook cover photo?! seriously!!! Utterly tone deaf. How is it that you can find time to do all this unnecessary and insulting BS but not respond to any customers? And don't say it's automated - it can be easily paused. I am sure, had we all be kept in the loop, you would not be getting this negative feed back. We are not unreasonable people and understand these are exceptional times but your utter lack of tact and lack of any sort of solution other than to hide is turning a regrettable but fixable situation into a monumental balls-up. Very poor Borough Box. I have ordered many items from you in the past but this will be the last order I ever place with you. And don't just "hide/delete" this comment. Step up and sort it.

I made an order online to be delivered to a friend as a birthday present. Website looks good and easy to browse through. However my order was delivered a week later than expected which was very disappointing considering it was a birthday gift. I found it very difficult to communicate with costumer service, when you try calling they ask you to email or leave a message and when I emailed it took a long time for people to get back to me. Overall it was a bad experience. Even though my friend liked the gift I would not buy again due to the service being unreliable.

I ordered around 15 hampers from Borough Box on the 9th Dec. Many were still not delivered by Christmas. Some still haven't been delivered by New Year. I would have given 1 star, but I give 2 stars because I can see that the company were trying their best to give a good service. It just seems they do not have a proper structure in place to pull it off. A good example would be that companies like *Good Sixty* know EXACTLY what they're doing despite experiencing all the same problems like COVID, and tier 4 restrictions. I now wish I had ordered all the hampers from Good Sixty.

I ordered from boroughbox as I was given a voucher. I ordered Champagne which, whilst arrived surprisingly fast, was the not the champagne that I ordered. I filled in the customer service form and was emailed on the next working day. Tommasso in customer support was great and rectified the issue promptly and satisfactorily.

????I applied for my hamper on the 22nd December. I filled in the appropriate form and 100% placed my code Which was verbally given to me as I entered it on line..now after they are struggling to meet the orders on time they sent me an email saying I never entered the code..I clearly did as I screen shot the transaction, also in there email it says if I've already received the hamper to disregard the email.??? How is this even possible if I haven't placed the code??? You can't speak to them even though I've sent 3 emails ONE with my phone number..still no response no communication skills. They have a number 033312121 when you call it the answer machine directs you back to the website or email...WHY is there a number???SO THE DATE NOW IS THE 14TH JANUARY IVE EMAILED THEM AT LEAST 4 TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE.. update now Tuesday the 9 Feb 2021 no hamper no email no nothing

I ordered a hamper on Dec 15 as a Christmas gift for my family in Scotland. The hamper finally arrived on 21 January at the wrong address (at my home in London). I had written several emails to try to get tracking information without result. The Yodel tracking data finally available after delivery showed that the the parcel went to Glasgow, stayed for a week in a depot, and then the Yodel tracking info claimed a new address had been received, and it went to London. In my emails to borough box, I asked for the parcel to be collected and refunded ..so far they have offered only a coupon towards the transport cost of future orders. When I said this was unacceptable, the staff member Carlos Gutierrez, replied that he agreed it had been a 'massive delay' and he would 'pass it back to the right team and get back to you ASAP'. That was on Jan 22 and I have heard nothing further from them

A message saying they weren't accepting calls, ignoring social media and telling people to be patient. Sadly one star is the lowest rating available. Shameful incompetence. I hope they go bust.

Borough Box recommended boxes within our budget, packed them, included a personal note and distributed them on a very tight deadline. Our colleagues are really impressed with the quality and it was definitely gave a much needed boost to a virtual closing day. Thank you!

I would advise you do not order from this company. If you are looking for a 'hamper' style gift or similar, go to one of the bigger companies such as M&S. I really wanted to support a smaller business in the run up to Christmas and ordered a gift box for my parents. When received it was packaged up lovely with tissue paper and leaflets inside so I did not disturb the items. My parents opened it on Christmas day (they were in tier 4 by then so I have not even seen them over the xmas period) to find none of the items in the 'afternoon tea box' were in the delivered box and something completely different had been sent. I emailed straight away with a photo and did not expect a response on xmas day (or for a few days over the holidays) but 8 days into the new year and still not received the correct box or an offer of a refund for the product or delivery charge. Save your money and order from a larger company with much better customer service!

Ordered items on the 12th of December for Christmas gifts. The items have not arrived and I have been advised to expect the items after Christmas which is useless to me. At the time the order was placed, all the indications were that it would be delivered in time. Misleading and one to avoid!

Borough Box: - took way too many orders in December 2020 and could not fulfil them - has not got any customer service staff / ability to respond to any form of contact But above all that the product I bought was also incredibly expensive for what it was - I bought a cocktail making box and for £25 it included a miniature whisky and some jif lemon juice! What a joke!

DO NOT USE!!! Unfortunately my family member bought me a voucher from this company for Christmas. I didn't receive the voucher so they chased the company and finally we got the code through. I went to use it and it said it had expired - a complete joke given I tried to use it in early January! I emailed them on 21 January and got an automated response saying they have received my email and not to send another email. It's now over 2 weeks since I sent that email and I have had nothing back. It sounds like I will also have a huge wait if I ever manage to get anything ordered. Absolutely shocking service and no doubt they have only got any custom because of people being desperate to be able to send things by post to their loved ones.

I received one of these as a gift and really thought it was lovely therefore I got 2x hampers as Christmas gifts. I placed the order on the 6th of Dec and received confirmation it had been shipped a few day later. I kept checking my tracking and nothing was changing, on the 23rd I decided to email boroughbox as I can now expect they will not arrive on time for Christmas. I understand things are difficult at the moment but thought over 2 weeks was enough time for delivery as nothing was stated about things not arriving on time for the day otherwise I would not have ordered. No one has got back to me yet regarding my issue and I have received an email asking how I enjoyed the products, which is unsettling itself when you haven't even received them. Spent quite a lot of money and have not been happy at all. Only plus side is I know the boxes are a nice gift through experience, whenever and IF they even arrive.

I placed an order on 5th December for several Christmas gifts well before any announcement about delays and the order has not been delivered. I have raised a query online and had no response and when you phone it is just an answerphone. Very poor service. We all understand difficulties this year but it is indefensible not to respond to your customers.

Obviously suffering like everyone with staffing and deliveries. You can appreciate them being swamped so hard to contact. On the website they said that orders after the 13th would not make it for Christmas, having ordered on the 13th it was touch and go but it arrived Christmas Eve. Can't fault their effort in the end :)

Aside from the extremely (four weeks) late delivery, which I’m semi-prepared to forgive at the current time, the “hamper” (which came in cardboard box) was waaaay overpriced. You’re better off buying some nice things from Fortnum & Mason and putting them in your own cardboard box. Pretty rubbish tbh, never again.

Very bad delivery services, it seems that there was no plan for Christmas deliveries; it feels they accepted more orders than they could deliver on time. Despite mentioning that they will deliver within 7 days, now they say that it will arrive after Christmas despite the order has been placed more than 7 days ago.

I don't have a problem with late delivery at a busy time during a pandemic...BUT...a box I ordered on the 13th of December arrived in mid-January. It cost me £30 and contained maybe £5 - £10 of products inside, with a disappointing lack of variety. I wrote to complain, asking to return the box for a refund, but have not received a reply to my email. Hard for this to be anything other than a one-star review.

I wouldn’t suggest ordering from this company right now (December). I have been waiting for 3 weeks for an order and the occasion has now been missed. Their emails say they are struggling due to Covid. As others have said, other companies are managing to perform just fine with the new working practices. That is no excuse - thousands of digital retail brands are thriving in the current environment and have seen their sales increase. It has been 9 months, logistics chains are working fine. If you have supplier issues, change the items in your basket to those that are available. You are destroying your brand.

I can only agree with the majority of writers. I was defrauded by them on 3rd Dec when I paid for an order which didnt arrive. Looking at the reviews, people were being fleeced as early as mid November, yet they continued collecting cash well into Dec when honestly people should have known better. Leave a review on trustpilot and hopefully it will help prevent others from being taken for a ride. I contacted the manufacturer of the product I didnt get and warned them this was happening. Hopefully these suppliers will take action on their own account

Experience was good and i do love the mash-mellows, nom, nom, nom, but i feel a big let down was the shipping cost. For each item they charged a separate delivery fee so for 2 items costing me £40 it was £8 shipping. Updated my review from the response from BoroughBox. Thanks for the information and something i'll pay closer attention to in the future.

I ordered a hamper on 12th Dec and paid for it to be delivered on 23rd. It still hasn't arrived. Finally got a response today to say it must have gone missing!? And.. what's more, the order's been changed as what I originally ordered is now out of stock. Hmm???? Tbf they've refunded me 15% but it doesn't really cut it. There's a lot of small businesses out there. I'm one myself, but I don't take people's money if I know I can't provide them with an adequate service. You should have stopped taking orders on your website as soon as you realised you might struggle to deliver.

Absolutely appalling service and non existence customer service, still waiting on a gift ordered 10th December, not even shipped - First and last time I will use this company. Generic emails only to my complaint, blaming tier 4 for non delivery..Tier 4 wasn't in when I placed the order and was told 7 days!! .Amazon & Parcel Force seems to be able to deliver.....Waste of time. They dont even deserve the one star.....

Ordered a delivery on 22nd November, which we thought would be well on time for Christmas. It still hasn't been delivered and the company is not responding to any emails or answering the phone. Covid is a poor excuse; we ordered several items from other online firms during November and December and all were delivered as scheduled. Borough Box should be ashamed of their performance.
