Ordered a box for a Christmas with plenty of time for it to arrive before Christmas and in line with Borough box deadlines for Christmas delivery. My order is still to be delivered and I have had to claim against my card company for the lack of service. So poor and they do not respond to emails or phone calls and therefore do not provide any sort of customer service.

Absolutely dreadful company with the most appalling customer service I have ever encountered. A gift was purchased and paid for on the 9th of December with a requested delivery date of the 19th. The gift hasn’t been delivered and we have received no communication whatsoever regarding our order despite leaving multiple telephone voicemails and sending several emails. From reading other reviews it seems this is an on-going issue for this rip off company - I only wish we had read other people’s reviews before placing our order. Avoid using this company at all costs.

Completely agree with another review by customer whose experience resembled mine. PLEASE AVOID USING THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST - terrible customer service, no service at all, to be exact. You can't effectively get in touch by phone to enquire re. order status as the only prompts are 'leave a message' and 'follow our link..'. Product was supposed to be delivered on the 24th, it's the 31st and no product , no update as to when it might ship , let alone arrive. When I raised a query online, I received an automated response "we're working tirelessly, pls do not contact us needlessly as it will only slow down the response...' I am left in a vacuum - no product, no update, no option to get in touch over the phone. In summary - do not waste your money on the pretty looking pictures on the website . Everyone can hire a good photographer. Pictures alone do not make for a good company and this one is BAD.

Placed an order on 9th December. Received an email stating that orders after the 13th probably wont arrive before Christmas. Its now the 28th and it still hasnt arrived and the tracking info says that the currier hasnt even recieved it yet!! Emailed the company multiple times but no response. Stay clear people do not order from this site!!!!!!!!

Awful company. STAY AWAY. I recently ordered a Hamper on the 7th of December. This was meant to be a Christmas present but now being the 31st and I have still not received my Hamper. I guess I can't say this is a Christmas present anymore. I'm not even sure if it will come in time for next Christmas at this rate. I'll never be using this company again!

UPDATE 23/12/2020: The Hamper was delivered and the contents very much appreciated by the recipient. Generating a label and sending an e-mail stating the order has shipped is not helpful if the box remains in the warehouse for another 2 days before it is picked up by the Courier. ORIGINAL REVIEW 8/12/2020 Exceedingly difficult to contact, BoroughBox not responding to e-mails, except for this response: "Thanks for your enquiry, this is an automated response to confirm we have received your email. The COVID-19 crisis has led to a number of our staff working from home and we're dealing with higher volume of orders than usual, so it's taking longer than usual for us to reply to emails. We will reply to you as soon as we can. If your email is not related to an order, or any other urgent issue then we will de-prioritise it and come back to you when we can. Thanks for your patience, we hope that you're keeping healthy and safe in these difficult times. Thanks The BoroughBox Team" Also only a recorded message at the end of the phone. My paid for order has gone astray and I need to speak with someone about it.

Dont bother, ordered for a birthday and never came, so dissapointed - no response to 3 emails and facebook messages. No one answers the phone, you just leave a message. COVID obviously affecting but a warning of length of time delay rather than an ambiguous non committal warning would be good. Also notification of shipment when Yodel confirmed they dont have the food basket is just an odd way to work - really not good enough, complete lack of communication. Save yourself money, time and embarrassment when relying on them for a gift, go elsewhere.

Poor communication, order arrived a week later than what it was needed for so I ended up buying another present elsewhere. Ignored calls and emails until the item was actually delivered. They have put a note in the box with a personal message that was clearly for somebody else. Extremely disappointed.

Ordered on the 9/12/20 to be delivered on the 21/12/20. Still not delivered on 31/12/20. I emailed them and was told parcels would be picked up on the 22/12/20 and delivered on 23/12/20, they lied. If they hadn't lied I could have cancelled the order and used Amazon. They knew they had problems but still kept accepting orders knowing they would not be delivered for Christmas.

I am really 'wowed' by my experience of using BoroughBox. Ordered yesterday morning and was pleased to see a great range of price points and gift options together with a clear process of payment etc - easy - lovely and thankyou! Then, this morning, I have received an email confirming all three different deliveries, when they are happening and who is delivering them. Perfect! I have already had a thank you from one recipient who was very pleased with her gift (of gins!). Thank you so much! I placed an order of on the 6th December on borough box - still waiting for the order via Chuckling cheese - numerous emails late, no order, numerous emails no contact ... who takes responsibility when they are the conduit for another company ....make sure you look at reviews for the company you are ordering from ..... 26.12 still waiting ......

Disappointed that I ordered an item, expecting it to arrive the next day only to find out the following day that they are out of stock. If i'd known at the time of ordering I could've ordered from somewhere else and had them on time. The basics of online retailing is having an up to date stock system.

I ordered a box of assorted air dried veg and fruit crisps but found them very disappointing as they are tasteless, chewy rather than crispy and there very few in each packet, 18g in fact, and as they are £13 for a box of 12 very expensive. So they are going in the bin, I did try to be healthy !!

I was given the snacking advent calendar as a gift and I absolutely love it! It has a wide variety of both sweet and savoury snacks, many of which I would never have tried otherwise, and the sizes are very generous. I also cannot fault their service. There was a delay in delivery that was entirely the fault of DPD, but when we raised it with Boroughbox they were very helpful, rearranged with Dpd and even sent a free gift. Special thank you to James for helping my Mum sort out the issue. Would definitely recommend

What a delight! I opened the BoroughBox and found new, innovative and reallllly tasty food and drink. The packaging is all recyclable or compostable. Just eaten a glorious bar of Prodigy chocolate, smooth organic and very green, even the wrapper is plastic free. This is a discovery of what the future should be. I was bought a 3 month subscription for Borough Box by a friend at Christmas. I thought the box would contain goodies from Borough Market in London. How wrong I was. I think I could be forgiven for thinking this when the logo is of a farmer on his tractor and the box is called Borough Box. However, the food is sourced from 'London'. However don't be fooled into thinking that all the food originates in London though. I have recently received items from country wide. Some of the items too were quite dusty on top on their lids, so I wonder how long they are sat around for. The value seems ok. I wouldn't recommend though,

Disappointing experience - I placed an order for Christmas gifts, for next day delivery. I chased the supplier directly for tracking information on my next day delivery only to be told they hadn't sent it! I then tried to liaise with them and Borough Box to arrange delivery the next day only to be told my order could no longer be fulfilled and would be available in the New Year. A disappointing first experience with this company and their supplier. Communications are not proactive and suppliers should not continue to offer services if they can't be fulfilled during the Christmas rush.

I had chose the chocolate subscription... out of my gift experience box...although the chocolate was very nice... I really don't think it was worth £49 someone had spent on it...in fact they're all on Amazon and it would have came to £35.00. I thought there maybe a read up of each company and about the chocolate.

Disgraceful service. Sent out the wrong item 4 days later than they should have and when I e-mailed asking for correct item they didn't reply ..finally sent a msg on Facebook which they blamed a third party company and said they would get my item to me and then without contacting me they just refunded.. Any other time of the year I would accept but I now have an embarrassing situation on Xmas day of not having a present for somebody.... not profesional at all... i wont be using this company again and will not recommend

Ordered a hamper a while ago to be delivered to elderly relatives just before Christmas. Turns out that we have received an email saying the hamper is no longer available and they can no longer deliver on the date that we have booked on. Very poor. Have asked for a refund and will not use again. No point buying from a company that is willing to not deliver Christmas presents after they have been ordered and paid for - good luck to those that have ordered!
