What is the issue with the staff in this store? I attended just yesterday and as I was being served I witnessed the cashier and store manager making rude comments (which included swearing) about the previous customer they had just served - all because she politely asked why they were not allowing returns during a pandemic. I mean what planet are they on to think that’s professional behaviour?
I can’t imagine the impact their one size policy is having on young girls either. How is a store like this still existing in 2020? They really need to do better.

Lovely shop with a good selection. Friendly security staff and today 25 people were allowed in at a time. Quite a long queue. O e star removed as the cashiers are a bit miserable! A friendlier check out service would be appreciated.... as we spend a fortune in this shop!

Ok just queued outside for the store to open at 11 in pouring rain. One minute past 11 assistant sauntered slowly to open store. Once inside one person manning till absolutely no customer service. If asking for help a surly uninterested response. I observed this while standing at door while waiting for my own kids to do their shopping. Queue of 10 then they finally opened another till. Over the last 2 days I have spent nearly £400 in this store and the one in Covent Garden. Both times I oversaw over privileged young women who believe it is beneath them to smile or be courteous to their clients. Brandy Mellive needs to rethink and retrain their staff.

the store itself is very busy. The clothes are very nice though and accessories but some is quite basic and plain like you would get in Primark but some are very nice.
The customer service isn’t great, just below your average customer service. The staff seem quite stressed about how many people there are in the store. Absolutely packed in here though which made it difficult to browse and tell who the staff are as they do not have uniform

Thieving scammers!! Deliberately overcharging young girls spending their pocket money. She saved her money, knew exactly how much she had, handed over the correct amount & the woman on the till lied & said she hadn't given enough, but it was too late to check as it was in the till so she had to give more money. Then when talking about it to friends we found out they had the same thing happen to them - ongoing scam to rob children who go in without parents. Shameful behavior!

SHOCKING. Very rude shop assistants serving my teenage daughter. She had saved up for ages to buy something, can't try it on, gets home and it doesn't fit. How on earth can one size fit ALL? Literally the worst message we can be giving to teenage girls. Now we can't take the item back as we don't live in London, and can't return this by post. I get it that we can't try items on at the moment, but you surely can't impose this no refund/only return to store policy if you can't even try the item on?

THIS PLACE IS OVERRATED! I’m reaallyyyyy skinny myself and I can fit every clothes in the store, BUT the clothes are the most basic and boring thing I’ve seen. The fitting room was hard to find. AND THE CLOTHES ARE OVERPRICED. I felt kinda weird. There were mannequins with stomachs unbelievable skinny. That made me feel fat. The quality is not great, and the shirts are just too simple to cost 20£...

Awful, to say the least! Me and my friend and her younger sister got accused of shoplifting. Of course we didn’t have anything on us.
I wasn’t angry at the fact we were stopped and searched that’s fine, the shop is busy and the security guard was doing her job but what i believe was a manager who was not dressed appropriately for the workplace may i add or was dressed to blend in with the customers accused us and would not stop even after they did not find anything he wouldn’t give it up and then started directing questions at a 12 year old girl until her older sister had to step in and ask them to stop! We then got told to “ be careful next time “ I loved this shop, but i won’t be going back ever. Disgusting.

the store itself is nice and aesthetically pleasing. the clothing is good quality and I love the designs and overall look of the pieces. however, I came here on a Saturday and the store is absolutely packed. definitely not enough room to manoeuvre around the store easily.
the customer service was ok, nothing terrible about it but nothing amazing either. there are always long queues for the changing rooms so expect to be in the shop for a long time.

I went to Brandy Melville Carnaby Street yesterday at about 6.30 yesterday (the 27th of December), and it was quite an experience with both ups and downs.The store was really good and the clothing was adorable, however the line for the dressing rooms were REALLY long, and the girls that worked there (with the dressing rooms) seemed really ignorant and not taking their job seriously (gossiping, running around etc). The clothes in Brandy are also only ''One size fits all'' which they refer to XS-S. So if you're planning on going there I recommend doing some research on their measuring. And last but not least, the girls at the checkout were also incredibly rude. I several times greeted them but all they responded with back was a dirty look and starting a new conversation with another worker. To summarize it, the store is wonderful but the customer service isn't.

Love the clothes, but the staff always ruin the experience for me. I stood first in line at the fitting rooms, I could see there were many stalls available, but the staff proceeded to ignore me and carry on chatting amoungst themselves. They were also quite rude and weren’t willing to help, not quite sure what the bad attitude is about - and this is present in all the stores in London.

Manager is incredibly rude and surprisingly a lot of people I know say this. The staff as well are also really rude and unwilling to help. Poor service , the girls who work in the other London stores are usually nicer than the carnaby one so go to them .

I am based in rural Suffolk and took my 13 year old daughter to London for the day, with her friend on a shopping trip. The shop she was most excited about was Brandy Melville, she raved about it and couldn't wait to go. We let them loose on Carnaby street, arranging a meeting point later. When we met she told me she had had a horrible experience in Brandy Melville. She and her friend had tried on lots of clothes and had been in the shop for about 35 minutes. They were looking at jewellery before they went to pay, when the security guard approached them and said that they had been in the shop too long and that anyone spending that much time in the shop was suspicious and likely to be a shoplifters. He then said if they weren't out in ten minutes he would have to kick them out. My daughter was horrified, embarrassed and unable to respond ( as I would have ) as she felt that the security guard was an adult in authority. She then paid for the items she wanted to buy and immediately left the shop. I was absolutely aghast that a shop aimed specifically at young girls would treat their customers in this way. I went to the store and spoke to the manager, who was very pleasant and said this definitely isn't store policy and people can spend as long as they want browsing. Unfortunately, this was not the case for my daughter and her friend and the whole experience has been rather sour. Poor show Brandy Melville.

I like the clothes, but I'd rather shop online than in store here and, after experiencing their service, I'm not sure I want to buy from them at all.
Everything is "one size fits all", so you better hope that works for you because there's no choice. I'm an 8 and it fits nicely, but my mum and a couple friends (from sizes 6 to 16) can't wear anything from there. But the clothes are cute.
The service was awful, sadly. I went a couple of times and was served by different people, but everyone seemed irritated to be there. They ignored me to chat for a while and I waited patiently because no one was behind me. Eventually one of them said, "What?" so I paid for my stuff and she immediately ignored me again. I said thank you and they didn't respond. The second time was similar.

ABSOLUTLEY HORRENDOUS! i went here and the service was awful, no respect or warmth from any of the staff- i would not be surprised if they did no training! Rude staff that talk amongst themselves instead of helping- i bought a top and came to return it half an hour later because they charged me 5 pounds extra-their excuse 'we put the wrong price--no apologies,pure ignorance. It is obvious the staff are hired for their looks and brandy melville should be very ashamed and to all the people that work there-YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN OTHERS! I felt uncomfortable, judged and unwelcome! They don't even give refunds!

I can just imagine the meeting now: "Okay everyone, I have a fantastic idea on how to improve our chances of survival in these incredibly tough economic times. Even though human beings come in all shapes and sizes, let's only sell one size of clothing! And, let's not give refunds when they want to return a "one size only" piece of clothing that does't fit!" (bobble heads nodding around the table at the brilliance of this genius idea).
Here's hoping your brand(y) goes the same way as so many others have recently - down there toilet. They may not have deserved to fail but yours certainly does.

I absolutely love the brand and clothing- however, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGUSTING! some of the items are hard to reach (ridiculous visual merchandising) so you need assistance to grab them from up high I asked one of the sales assistants and she had a really bad attitude and tutted at every question I had - great garments POOR POOR service it's just girls prancing around in hardly any clothes!

AVOID!! Shocking customer service. Rammed full of shoppers, and a big queue to pay for anything. They have several stools and benches around the place mostly covered with merchandise. While waiting for my daughter to get to the front of the enormous queue to pay, I sat on an empty stool. A moment later one of the shop assistants came up to me and told me to get up as she wanted to put "stuff" on the stool and I'm not allowed to sit down. I said it was ridiculous that they forced people to stand while waiting ages to pay. Was told that apparently "you don't get seats in Zara". Same thing happened to several families while I was there.

Horrendous queue (in front of the jewellery display!) on a Friday afternoon (09.09.16) and two members of staff on tills. Both chatting, giggling and swigging from bottles of iced tea! No apology for wait and no customer interaction at all. Bought a dress, a top and a necklace but when I got home and checked the bag, he'd omitted to pack the necklace despite the fact I had been charged for it! Management really should be aware of such poor customer service and sort it adapt - perhaps starting by training their staff in communication skills.!!

I had to go in to pick up some clothes for my girlfriend, the girl behind the till had a terrible attitude. Snooty and impatient. Turned out the price she scanned in was wrong and I knew something was up, so once I pointed this out she threw the cash back down onto the counter. She then had to pick it all back up because I never said I wasn't paying by cash..
Management needs to work on training these girls better, all of your reviews are full of how rude the staff is. Please get off your high horses.

Was at this store on a Wednesday afternoon with my two daughters. The store is very hot and the queue was horrendous. We queued for nearly 25 minutes. It's ridiculous that there's only 2 tills. At least have one on the till and one person packing to make the queue quicker. While you're queuing, shoppers are trying to look at the stuff on the rails near you so had to keep moving out of the way. I was tempted to leave but daughter loves the stuff, although other daughter does but due to the silly one sizing (6-8 most of it) she is excluded from buying anything.
