Nice spot for a drink in a peaceful part of the city. The staff were very friendly. The weekday food menu we were given unfortunately did not have any vegan options apart from a starter of hummus with oil and bread.

A real oasis of a pub in one of the most tranquil parts of the city. Experienced, welcoming team. Sumptuous dishes and a plethora of fresh traditional ales and craft beers to explore. I was extra impressed with the effort they put in to make the venue accessible for disabled guests.

Friendly staff, nice food, good service & choice of gins but I'd say £7+ for a pint is a bit of a sting...only thing that lets this place down unfortunately! Some food options are perhaps a little overpriced too but otherwise a nice pub! Would be nice if it was more reasonable and we may visit more often!

Amid the weirdness of COVID the Preston Park Tavern still manages to give a little slice of normal. The garden is heated and covered whilst inside is still cosy, even with distancing. The staff are super friendly, food is great and there's always a wide selection on tap. Nice job y'all x

I had the tastiest roast pork Sunday lunch served by attentive, friendly staff yesterday. My partner enjoyed his roast beef too. Washed down with Blue Moon on draught. Great.
A good, well thought out covid system inside made me feel as safe as possible.

Saw some mixed reviews in the past but just moved to the area and thought why not give it a go for a Sunday roast. I have to say it exceeded my expectations! The pork belly was unbelievable and everything else was full of flavour, even the cabbage had a smokey deliciousness and the portion size was perfect. Looked at other peoples food and it all looked great too. Staff were all super friendly, Keep it up!

Excellent service and the food was mostly nice. The lemon sole fillet with king oyster mushroom sapphire lacked in flavour a little. Everything else seemed great though!

We had a works Christmas lunch. Service was excellent with friendly welcoming staff. The food was presented well, tasty and made the occasion enjoyable. Definitely recommended for food. A good old fashioned look inside too with lovely high ceilings and plenty of space inside and out.

Dog friendly, great gin, beer and wine selection and one of the best roasts I’ve had in Brighton! Lamb was divine, massive portions, crispy roasties and perfectly cooked veg. Also thrilled that they offer pigs in blankets as a side; they should definitely not only be for Christmas!

A traditional looking English pub from the outside but wonderful "gastropub " food and some "guest" ales and lagers available. The chef and his team were constantly busy and the food we ate was of a high standard. My son said that the beefburger he ate was probably the best he had ever eaten. Only downside for us was the furniture, old school chairs and tables which seemed tiny for my husband and son, but they are both over 6ft tall! Well worth a visit!

Tasty food and helpful staff. Unfortunately they wouldn't allow us to book a table with 5 people (had to be 6+) so when we arrived there was no where to sit and eat, however, they allowed us to sit at a reserved table until another table freed up which actually took less than 10 minutes. Still recommended for a tasty dinner.

Gastro pub is about right, though more pub than it used to be. They do some good beers and wines, and some v good Gins though not the largest selection you'll find in town - quality over quantity here. Food has always been good here.

I've been to this pub several times over the years. It's on the other side of town, so I'm not a regular.
I went tonight, to meet up with friends and noticed the place has had a refit. It looks good, with a pleasant, covered outdoor space.
I took a look at the menu and thought that it was a little overpriced for pub grub. But, having ordered, I was most pleased with the food. Cooked well, presented pleasingly and with a great deal of imagination and skill in the combination of ingredients. We were a four top and I tried a little bit of everyone's food.
The people working here are friendly and don't mind talking. I'll definitely go again. You can get here easily on the bus, which is a plus.

Great pub, lovely beer with the best pub food i'd had in years. Good atmosphere with a great mix of locals and tourists. Fair few dogs as well. Every table was in use when we left which isn't surprising given the quality and value on offer. Beer battered fish and chips main course and the white chocolate, amaretto bread pudding were delish

Had my very first meal in Brighton here after moving to the neighborhood last week, and left very happy that this gem of a pub will be down the street from our new flat. We had the lamb & chorizo pie and the fish & chips, both were excellent, and the pie was one of the best I've had in a while. A little spendy as others noted, but well worth it in my opinion.
