Do not get your passport photos done here.
It costs £10 for a passport photo and it took 15 minutes for them to print them off (even though the store was empty). Meanwhile, there are dozens of self service photo booths around London (called Photo Me), that allow you to take, review and instantly print passport photos for £5.
I rarely leave 1 star reviews (this is just my 2nd out of ~100), but between the massively inflated price, the poor service and the owners weirdly aggressive responses to valid criticisms on other reviews here, this one is wholly deserved
EDIT: Shoutout to the owner for exemplifying my last point with their response to this review. The bottom line is that you're charging 100% more for a service that can be done in a fraction of the time elsewhere.

This is the first tim I write a review for a shop or anything and I don't get easily upset about customer service as I know it's not easy if you deal with clients all day. But this really pissed me off. I was ignored for 10 minutes whilst one staff was serving other clients and two staff members were talking to each other over a laptop. Then a fake apology. He took my passport pic in the most unprofessional and unflattering way. He was not at all interested in helping me take a picture that I liked. He took the picture without lighting and from a slightly above angle which is most unattractive. I had to tell him to change the angle of his camera to get a half representable result. He also insisted I took my glasses off, which is not needed for the passport I was asking for, as long as there are no reflections. He said this was the rule. I guess it was because he did not bother to work with the lighting to make sure my eyes would be visible without reflections. On the picture I have dark shadows all over different parts of my face and my eyes are not very visible. I could have had a better photo from a photo booth and for half the price.
As I did not have the time to retake somewhere else I will now have this pic in my passport for the next 15 years and it really pisses me off.
Please do not go to this place to get pictures taken for your passport... I should have read the comments here before...

A brilliant shop for technical advice and service. I have just had 42 old VHS tapes converted into MP4 files, and backed up onto a portable hard drive. All the work was done in house, that way i knew it was safe. I will certainly use them again.

(This has been my first chance to post a comment) I was in here last Monday to buy a frame , the gentlemen (older ) behind the counter seemed more interested in talking to an American woman than assisting me ,the woman had clearly had been served and decided to chat, when I proceeded to stand behind the woman with my frame, he called the younger guy with glasses (who is always nice ) to serve me ,
Not a nice way to treat (certain ) customers, there is a star for the guy that served me
Like most of the people that have reviewed on here and given the place a low rating , no doubt I will get a nasty response as well, but thank God for such things as head offices
Update : (3.7.2019) I have just had a message (7 months after I posted this review) from the gentleman who I posted the review about, telling me that the reason he ignored me was because the said American woman had lost both her parents, I sympathise with that , however the frame that I was purchasing was for a photo of my mother who had died a month previously to that and the funeral was the friday previous to this (this incident happened on a monday ) and I certainly didn't want to chat to all and sundry about my mourning as I was in a photo shop and not a councillors office and in response to the gentleman, I didn't speak to him on the phone (?)

A handy place to get passport photos done - especially things like baby passport photos which you can't easily do in one of those photo booths. The staff seem knowledgeable about the requirements for an acceptable photo, not just about the UK, but for some other countries as well.
On the downside it did seem a bit expensive - £13 for four identical photos was a bit steep, in my opinion.

Expensive rip-off! Asked the clerk to print a 1 page document in B&W and somehow she managed to split it into 3 pages and print it in color. What’s best is that she still charged me £3 for the joke. Thanks, not going back!

Rude beyond words! First time got smacked in a face with a door when came to print photos with my 2 year old! Btw, quality of the prints were horrendous! Second time a year later got called stupid for trying to get a rough quote for framing the canvas! This place has to get shut for good!

Awful! They own the monopoly of taking baby passport photos in the area but don’t have the facilities to take decent photos. The staff are obnoxious and unprofessional- two amateurs with cameras who can’t take a decent photo then charge £14 for 4 baby passport photos. Extortionate!

Went today to have a passport photo. Wasn't happy about the quality after comparing with a photo on my current passport - face incorrectly scaled against empty space, picture taken from the point when lens was positioned above the face, no additional lights used resulting in shades under eyes and grey colours all over. The overall result – I cannot recognise myself.
Came back couple of hours later and asked to retake photo explaining what I’m not happy about. Immediate response was “I’m taking passport photos for 15 years and know what I’m doing”. After couple of re-shoots the end result was still not good. The guy asked “How did you pay?” and then “I cannot bear it anymore”!!! When I asked his name he first refused then said “I’m the owner” and after my repeated requests to give his name, he reluctantly told “John”. I wander if it’s his real name.
To sum-up, avoid for passport photos!

Don't shop here! Just went in to buy a frame which I bought, took home, realised was terrible quality despite costing £10 (bought a much higher quality one of Amazon for £5 the other day) so unacceptable to use as a gift as intended. Took it back within 30 mins and was told they don't accept returns unless items are faulty by a very rude man. Terrrible customer service and terrible quality products. Photo printing also over double the cost of other providers (99p per print). Will never shop at Snappy Snaps again!
