This track was a really important first release for Isak and we needed it sounding perfect. Tom is known for his expertise in mixing and mastering electronic music, however this needed something a little different. It was important for us to maintain the soul and dynamic of the performance and recording... The life of the track can be easily sucked out during the mastering phase but Tom did a great job and took this song to its fullest potential.

Second time around using them and it just keeps getting better! Mastering The Mix took my song and added life to it! It sounds good in my car, in my headphones, in my home stereo. Greetings Tom,
I hope this finds you well.
The song turned out great and I can hear the polish in the mix, you really made the vocals stand out better for me. “Faith” is a song that evolved through many transitions over the years starting out as midi tracks which preserved a lot of the instrumentation like the keyboard solo which was actually recorded back in 1989 in New York. Then I ended up transferring everything to two inch tape in Los Angeles back around 1992. I got some really talented musicians Michael Hyde (Big Mountain, Jermaine Jackson, Ziggy Marley) on Keys, Carlton “Santa” Davis (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Ziggy Marley) on Drums, Haile Maskel (The Rastafarians, Judy Mowatt, Sugar Minot, Israel Vibrations, Wailers) on Bass and lead Guitar, and everything else is myself on keys. I found some girls to do the background vocals, and the rest is history. So you are the latest addition to this track with your mastering mix nearly 26 years later. So it’s a vibe that has been a long time in coming so to speak. But music is timeless and it would seem that my lyrics and message have also withstood the test of time.
Thanks again for you help and contribution, and maybe after all these years this tune may make the light of day for the rest of the world.
