Great shoes, great staff and a really quaint little shop. I’ve bought, I think, three pairs of my loake shoes from here. I’ve also used them twice to have shoes sent back to the factory for the refresh / repair service when the soles were worn through. No reason shoes from here can’t last a very long time.

Fantastic customer service from Ottavio at Loake Bow Lane. He kept my new boots for me when they were out of stock online and even kept the shop open when I was running late to collect the boots

Be careful, Loake do NOT allow shoes REFUNDS to the SHOP. Even having bought the shoes at the shop, they asked me to send them via Royal Mail to their Head Office to get the refund, not following UK rules and even saying that at the back of the receipt.

Dealt with George in there a couple of times. It was his very soft sell, knowledge and general good nature that made me buy in store rather than shopping around online. His knowledge and quick understanding of the type of last that would fit my foot best saved me time, which is what i really valued. I would rate Loakes highly regardless of this anyway, as they offer the best balance between price and quality.

Just popped into the shop and what a great experience it was. Fantastic store manager with brilliant product knowledge about both Loakes and the competition. He had infectious enthusiasm and was a really nice guy, as was his colleague.

Staff were really nice and friendly and didn't press the sale which was so nice and refreshing - I felt at home... They even got me a beer, such a nice touch never felt rushed at anytime... I'd defo go back again just because of the service

I just went in for a pair of shoe laces and came out with a lovely Guilhall briefcase. I liked the shop a lot and the customer experience was excellent. I will be back.

I visited the Loake store on Bow Lane on Wednesday, and it was one of the finest examples of customer service I have ever come across. The assistants were both professional and helpful, and I left the store with an excellent product. I was provided with a shoe horn, spare pare of laces, some polish, and a cloth as a gesture. I will certainly be going back!
