I use Miele appliances for more than 15 years in different countries. It was always the highest level of service. And I’m surprised how poor the Miele service in the UK. I'm waiting for their engineer for a week. They promise to call, and nobody calls. It makes sense to buy a new coffee machine from another producer tomorrow or to drink coffee at a petrol station...

£250 Premium Service was a complete waste of time and money. Miele engineer booked to repair an integrated tumble dryer. He turned up, declared that he was unable to check what was wrong with the machine as it is stacked and couldn't pull the machine out on his own. When I booked the appointment I wasn't asked if it is stacked and in the past the engineer just pulled it forward into a trolley. I then received an email to say the dryer is beyond economical repair. I found that interesting, the engineer must have had x-ray eyes as at no point did he check for faults. I suspect it's more economical for Miele to offer me my £250 against a new machine. A complete pain as the fit of a new machine is completely different.

Good looking products and they are fine till they last but they are very high maintenance and keep breaking down. And once they breakdown, God save you! Their customer service is horrible and it could take upto 3 weeks for their engineer to show up and charge you a fortune!

Good appliances however shocking after service and customer care. When you spend over £1000 on appliance you expect that they pick up their phones, don’t hang up on you and that you can get a an engineer in, in a decent time - Every time I call up, when my appliance has broken, it’s a minimum two weeks until they can get to me to fix it. Think carefully before buying as no customer support whatsoever.

I'd never buy from them again. Inherited an old coffee machine from the lady I bought my house off. Asked miele to come round and fix my coffee machine giving them the model number and everything prior to arrival. The guy comes here late and then after 2 mins tells me that they don't make parts for my machine anymore. That will be £130. So £130 for what I could have been told over the phone. Con artists. Hope the money was worth the review.

I had some issues with my Vacuum cleaner, called customer services and told them about the issues, the customer service representative told me to do some test on the vacuum cleaner while she was on the phone which I did. She told me the issues should be solved after the test, and she told me to call back if it doesn’t. I felt bit weird because I knew the vacuum cleaner is faulty. I expected her to arrange for a engineer visit. After a day I called customer services again and representative was more helpful,and she arranged for currier to pick up the vacuum cleaner. They took two weeks to deliver the vacuum back to me. but I was very happy, because they replaced all the old accessories which was faulty with the new accessories. Very happy with the service at the end. Thanks Miele.

Suffice to say, appliances are great, but 'Customer Service' is worse that shocking. After waiting on the phone for between 2 - 4 Hours, yes, really!! on more than one occasion, I managed to get an engineer booked for approx 3 weeks in advance for a 10am - 12 Noon slot. At 11am I receive a phone call that he's approximately 20 miles away, and has no idea what time he may be able to arrive, he's still at a job, and has another one to go to before he can get to me! He also advised that even if he did get to me, he didn't have the part I need, and would have to order it from Germany !? Still trying to get my head around this!! Thanks very much! Buy at your peril, and hope nothing goes wrong!!

Miele is the worst experience I have ever had. 3 our of the 6 appliances I ordered for my kitchen broke down. The hood broke down 3 times. To top this it is broken for 1.5 months and not yet replaced. The staff are rude and extremely uncooperative. If I could give zero stars , I would . I am going to take this up with a consumer forum. Has anyone else had a similar bad experience?

Miele Online shop has horrible customer service. I ordered a simple twin Dos spare container and have not received it over amonth now. Every time you call they say it will be with you in a few days. I think they are trying to basically steal my money . Should not be allowed to operate in the UK market. Horrible. Do not use that company

Deserves no stars I paid £1349 for a Tumble Dryer direct to Miele on 2nd Feb 2018. Delivery was scheduled for 15th. Quite a long delay I thought, but as I had already paid, I decided to wait as it is usually a very good product. However I became rather concerned as the drying times were in excess of 3 HOURS for even a small load. After a week it stopped working completely. I was told I was eligible for a refund or a new replacement. I opted for a replacement. On Tuesday 27th I was advised by Emily Holdsworth that the delivery would be on Monday 5th March and that the delivery team would give me a two hour time slot. By 11am I contacted Miele by email asking when I could expect it. Then I decided to phone. I was on hold for 50 minutes. The first advisor told me due to the snow no deliveries had gone out on Friday or Saturday so they were catching up with deliveries. Paul said I should have been contacted to advise it had been rescheduled. Then I was put in hold and eventually spoke to Tammie Cousin a manager there. She said no deliveries were sent out due to the weather and they were playing catch up. I drove from the south of England to North Wales and back Friday and Sunday and the roads were good. Plenty of traffic on the clear roads. It seems to me people have used the weather (couple of inches of snow) as an excuse for appalling service. They are in Oxford for gods sake not Aberdeen!!! A little bit of snow does not stop emails or phone calls being made. I wasn't prepared to wait another 5 days asked for a refund. She put me through to Fernandez. He has to arrange for a delivery team to collect the broken appliance, then once back at the depot a refund would be made. so if they collected the faulty appliance this Friday in 4 days time, it could be at least another 2 weeks before the refund.!!!! I demanded to speak to his boss. His boss Elizabeth Lake was , yep you guessed it , in a meeting. I am still waiting for her to contact me. I am out of pocket by £1349. plus the costs of my wasted time and costly phone calls to Miele customer Services. Have I been offered any compensation or a prompt settlement of my issues? NO Understandably I am not happy at having parted with such a large sum of money for a faulty product. No one at Miele was bothered with helping me achieve either a refund for replacement with any urgency. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY. MIELE IS NOT THE COMPANY IT ONCE WAS. GOODS ARE OVER PRICED, NOT AS GOOD AS THEY ONCE WERE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING. Different people tell you different stories and scenarios. I think they make it up as they go along. Despite their claims at efficient customer satisfaction they do not produce the service they claim. BE WARY OF USING THIS COMPANY. In future I will buy cheaper goods that may go wrong after a few years and just buy another cheaper replacement. I have learned from bitter experience that buying such an expensive item that is supposed to last for 20 years is a complete lie and a false economy

I have always dreamed of having the miele kitchen. Well at last I have it and to be honest it's turned out to be a nightmare. The products I bought do not do what they are advertising and after having several conversations with miele and being fobbed off by people without a clue I eventually got an engineer booked in. It was a 2 week wait but at least it would get sorted, well so I thought. Not only have I been told I have to pay for additional parts to make it work but I have been let down 3 times by the engineers. being let down the day before after booking days off work is not ideal but now they have told me they can't book anything in until the technician returns from sick leave, so I don't even have a date now to look towards. So until they decide they can do something I am left with a half finished kitchen and 12k wasted on miele in my house. Thanks miele

We bought a Miele W5748 Stainless Steel washing machine back December 2010, as Miele was running a 10 year guarantee Christmas promotion on this machine.. Its now 7 years on and the machine has a vibration issue So I rang Miele to report the fault and arrange a service call and they've said they have no record of my machine registration on their system.. How convenient.. However, they can see my Miele dishwasher registration on their system.. So it seems that when Miele run these special 10 year guarantee promotion offers, they somehow don't believe their customers when its time to rely on their services when their machines breakdown.. Apparently, these 10 year warranties are worthless unless when you register your machine with Miele, you chase them up and get proof of the online that their system actually records your registration or you take a screenshot of your computer screen at the time of registration. Miele, you should be ashamed of the way you promote these "To Good to be True" 10 year warranty schemes, and deny the existence of their registration when a claim is made against them.. Why refuses or not admit that there could be a problem with your registration system and some data loss could occur. Miele, your 10 year warranty promotion is as bad as any of the other Micky Mouse warranty schemes out their on the market and in my view, you've done yourselves a disservice to your brand reputation.

Reliability is not what we expected - already dealing with second mechanical fault on a very expensive Miele integrated washer dryer within the first 5 years. The machine is only used a couple of times a week and they only gave us a limited two year warranty. Now using the Miele Platinium Care package (£250 extra) to try and get it fixed but..... it took 16 days to get the first engineer to visit, who told us their system has changed and they are no longer allowed to carry spare parts!! Both pump and control panel have failed. Apparently, they must order spare parts from Germany and engineer has no availability to revisit for another 2 weeks! It leaves us over 30 days with a broken Miele washer dryer. That isn’t the service and quality promised in their promotional material and we would never buy from them again.
