Fantastic service! I have needed their repair services twice in the last couple of months and both times it has been a pleasant experience. They are slightly more expensive than going to the average garage, but I think it is worth it for the speedy turnaround, great communication and they cleaned my car whilst it was with them!

Absolutely appalling customer service. Last year my car was given an MOT and service at the Nottingham branch and I was left to wait for 4 hours longer than the time I was quoted. This year my MOT was done in reasonable time but the return visit to deal with an issue resulted in waiting 3 and a half hours for what was quoted as a job that would take an hour to an hour and a half. 2 out of 3 visits with the Nottingham branch have been disgraceful. Either quote the actual time or attempt to perform the task in the time quoted. Not good enough. Edit: After 4 hours I had to go and ask the assistant why it was taking so long and explained the situation. The response was "What do you want me to do about it?" in an extremely dismissive and uninterested way. This is disgraceful customer care.

Outstanding customer service really went above and beyond and the pick up and delivery service was excellent, my car failed MOT because of 2 tires and they couldn't get them for 3/4 days so I picked it up sorted the tires myself and they squeezed me in the next morning first thing to get the MOT all signed off no hassles at all, I highly recommend them

Thank you so much to Matt and Chris as well as other members of the team for all the hard work they put into making my experience replacing my car pleasant and worry-free. When I first drove in I was expecting a small chat to discuss my options, however I felt welcomed, comfortable and treated like a human being rather than a customer. The team looked at my financial and lifestyle position at the time to (accurately) suggest the car I’d be best in next and I couldn’t be happier with it after one week of driving it. Matt was a pleasure to be served by. He shared interests with me, listened to me and didn’t act like he was trying to oversell anything to me. (In the words of Mr. Pratchett; “Sometimes glass glitters more than diamonds because it has more to prove.”) Equally, Chris helped solve my problems with the wrong plates and later the missing signature on the V5C even while he was busy himself. Together, along with a few others who’s names I didn’t catch, they proved a formidable team. Overall, I’d recommend it as a place to go for your next car. Thank you for a wonderful service. I bought my first car from Gemma at Evans Halshaw and received A* service. I remember being nervous and feeling completely out of my depth when walking into the sales centre, but Gemma was helpful, informative and above all honest! She helped me decide what car suited me and I didn’t feel like I was being pushed into a sale. I was so pleased that when my dad needed a new car, I insisted he went there!! In my experience, I have found that all the advisers there are helpful, friendly and honest - something which is very rare in car sales nowadays.

We have now bought our third family car from Evans Halshaw Nottingham, and can honestly say we would never go anywhere else. Our first one was a brand new one bought on finance with the help of Will Tuck and Chris Mainprize. Both Will and Chris were extremely knowledgable, helpful and honest! They explained the whole process and when we said we had a budget they didn’t try and push us to go above but rather helped us keep within what we could afford monthly. I have today just gone back to purchase myself a used car from Chris and am over the moon yet again! My daughter and I drove to another dealership however didn’t like it and we had to drive all the way back to Chris where we knew we would get A* service. Chris (like Will) is trustworthy, honest and a lovely person who has always gone above and beyond to help. Yet again I have come away as a happy customer.. if only I could buy another one from those lovely boys!!

I Contacted this company when in a situation coming off the Motability scheme. Gave all information of what seat height i would need in a vehicle, what difficulties i had. I was told that they would look into what vehicles would be suitable for me and contact me back within the hour after asking me what budget i had etc. The call was returned promptly with various options for me to consider, nothing was to much trouble. I live in Lincoln and they even went as far as to email me pictures of the car's i was interested in before i made the journey to view them. I dealt with Tom Allen ( Sales Manager) and Jason Jacques (Sales Assistant) they showed courtesy and professionalism at every point in dealing with Evans Halshaw. Would highly recommend.

More than two weeks after buying my car, I still have outstanding issues. I have made complaints and heard absolutely nothing. The car itself was decent. But I was slapped with ‘mandatory fees’ not included in the asking price, berated in the showroom and left out of pocket. I had an awful service, passed from pillar to post with no end in sight. Decent car but absolutely not worth the grief.

**DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME** We really did dodge a bullet. Following a 100 mile round trip and 3.5 hours at this place we left VERY disappointed after realising the car had accident damage. We asked the salesman several times throughout negotiation whether the body work had been repaired at any stage - their answer was “no, there is no accident damage recorded”. It had been raining for most of the time we were there so it was hard to see the overall condition of the bodywork until thankfully it stopped and dried up so was enough to see the damage. We were minutes away from finalising the deal but as a final check we decided to pop outside to have another look at the car. Thankfully we did not part with the large sum of money after seeing the very poor attempt to repair the damage done to the front bumper. Tactics used to keep you there for hours by talking nonsense over and over to the point where you just want to do the deal and get out! This wasn’t just our experience, several other customer in there for hours too! A very clever alternative to being pressure sales people - DO NOT BE FOOLED! Offered a test drive which consisted of the best part of 1/4 mile around an industrial state - speed limit 30mph. I really do dread to think had we have bought the car what else would have been patched up to last only the journey home! No apologies for wasting our time just back pedalling attempts. Further to this I was told my account details provided over the phone to secure the car with a £99 deposit had been scribbled down on a piece of paper and left on an open desk - very professional! A big lesson learnt for us, very disappointed, waste of time, feel very cheated but at least we didn’t part with our hard earned. This was my first experience here but enough to be my last.

First of all I came here as I believed using a large company like this I would have zero issues and get a car that had been fully checked etc... WRONG! If I owned this dealership I'd be there daily. Some of these reviews (including mine) are awful and just embarrassing. I finally understand the stereotyping of the used car salesman. For a large dealer no care was taken on the car. It was not even cleaned. Stained seats, food on the steering wheel and mould in the interior. I now suspect the car has been in an accident as driver's door is very difficult to open and squeaks. I did ask if it has been in any accidents and was told "No." The car came with no paperwork at all. I have bought many used cars privately and from very small independent dealers and never been sold a car that the seller hasn't mot'd or serviced the car (just to make sure they aren't selling you a car with problems), where issues have been hidden or that were soo filthy you need to fork out £50 just to clean the interior. Like many others, I had a long waiting time despite having an appointment (well over an hour, so two+ hours in total). No one greets you, staff are either sat or stood talking to each other, watching you wait by the desk and you have to approach them. The managers do not do much, but sit back and relax from what I saw. I wish that I had read these reviews prior to my purchase. The car has worn brakes (I was told on the test drive that the rubbing was due to being stood a while (three months), so it would wear off. A week later the brakes are still rubbing, so definitely worn). What dealer sells a car with worn brakes and mould, especially to a buyer who came with their children? No standards or conscience. There was mould on seat belts. The manager said this was due to the car being valeted and then stored (bearing in mind the car came from another branch hours away). The car needs a complete head to toe valet as is absolutely disgusting. Not even a mini valet was done. They want to charge me to get the brakes checked, although I have only had the car a week and I can see from other reviews no accountability is taken and this is going to be a stress for me. I will be taking this to court, if the issues are not rectified. And I have NEVER felt this serious about anything I have purchased nor written a negative review. This cowboy behaviour is probably because they know they will get custom as the general public naturally trust large dealers, so don't care once they have your hard earned money. I am very disappointed that I felt the need to leave such a review, but I feel strongly about this.

Having in mind what car I wanted and looking everywhere for the car at the right price,Evans Halshaw was the place to go as they had a few cars to choose from. The service was fantastic from the word go. I have received follow up calls to see if everything was alright with the car and contact all the way through. A lady called Jenifer at the Nottingham branch gave exceptional service and made it so easy for me. Thank you for a pleasant transaction and will defiantly shop with you again.

Words cannot describe the lack of communication and care for customers, not only was the car faulty and took me 2weeks to get it booked in after making a complaint via the website. I still haven't received my £200 reservation fee I originally made before purchasing the vehicle 3weeks ago. I was told a part would be ordered for my car and I'd be called regarding this and never have been. Ive had a few cars from all over the UK and this is genuinely the worst ordeal I've had dealing with a car dealership. If I didn't really like the car I'd of taken it back so I didn't have to deal with them again.

I dont know the name of the chap who has dealt with me yet as I've just dropped my car off, but I wanted to say thank you for the decent service, being treated with a bit of respect and doing what they can to help inc. giving me a lift to the local coffee shop whilst I wait which they absolutely didnt have to do. I'm a bit embarrassed as I went to EH Burnley to get my car (after they pressured me to go there and not deal with 'Nottingham' as they'd give me a better deal) and as there's now a few niggles with the car I've had to bring it to Nottingham as it's local to me to sort. I'm super grateful and it's a shame there's not more consistent service from EH across the dealer network. Considering I've also just bought a brand new car for my Daughter at EH Nottingham too - which went well, I should of known better - thanks to those at EH who care about the customer.

Won't be going back here again I went down with Mrs and her dad to look at the new mokka and grandland x when I went in I asked where I could park as staff was walking past my car and he told me there wasn't no parking on site I would need to go and park offsite and was very rude to me I'm guessing it was because how I was dressed and the car I was already driving a astra h that he treated me like he did but never mind ford never did that to us so looks like a kuga or ecosport will be the suv to get now very very unhappy so rude

This place is a joke... Was told my appointment was at 1000 for a free check on the clutch problem. Was then told I had to wait until 1300 for fault check to be completed. so waiting for the fully trained Vauxhall mechanics too look at the clutch problem I have (which by the way doesn't leave the floor once foot applies pressure) and in 15 minutes 'they can't find a problem'... Really... I strapped my left foot to the pedal in order to drive it to them here. For a further investigation it would cost over £100 in labour... Just to find the fault they could not 'apparently' find initially. So that over 2 hours of my life I will never get back. I say to anyone thinking of using this place to consider elsewhere a PRIORITY! Unless you don't care for money nor time. Seriously unhappy.

I have been sold a car with an oil leak! I got an opinion from another garage after being unable to book in with Evans Halshaw after being bounced around "called back" and on hold for a total of 3.5 hours within a month of buying the car. The other garage told me that they had fitted a new sump before I bought it to try and stop the leak, but the rear main seal had gone and that this was definitely a preexisting problem from before I bought the car. Never again buying from Evans Halshaw and warning everyone who will listen away from these thieves.

WOULDNT TAKE A CAR FROM THEM IF THEY GAVE IT AWAY TO ME!! They sold me broken car and completely lied about service history that came with it. I had countless arguments with them they wouldn't reply to me unless I went into the dealership and then lied and belittled me. It took me threaterning court action for me to get anywhere with them and after 6 months of arguments finally they gave me a refund. Not worth the risk any major problems and you won't get no where with these at all.

I had read bad reviews about Evans Halshaw but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt since I found exactly the car I wanted with them. I paid a £200 deposit to have the car moved from Stourbridge to Nottingham and was speaking with the sales executive who confirmed the car would be in 06.02.18 but said they wanted to valet it and repair a damaged parcel shelf so I booked to see it 09.02.18 (and was planning on buying the car!) that day I spoke to a different sales exec who called to confirm I was still coming etc then at 2pm I got a call from the general sales leader telling me that someone else has already bought the car!! Claimed it was "human error" but I have a strong suspicion that this other person was purchasing on finance and I was a cash buyer therefore Evans Halshaw would make more money off them! Absolute joke of a company and they deserve every bad review they get. I have requested my £200 be refunded immediately but currently still waiting...
