From the outset the team at Evans Halshaw have been nothing but helpful. I spoke to a great sales rep called Alan Prior, who understood what I was after and made sure that all my requirements were met. I bought 2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe (only 47K on the clock), it was originally located in Edinburgh, Alan arranged for it to be brought to the Notts branch and was determined to not sell it to me unless it was up to the highest of standards... And it definitely was! Alan kept me up to date with the process, broke down the facts and figures throughout via email and phone. I had a few minor niggles a week later, nothing mechanically wrong. Just a service counter reset on the dash settings and a squeaky brake, they booked it in and dealt with it all without any hassle or cost to me to do the work. It was all so easy to book it in, get it fixed and collect it back. Less than a day. Both Alan from Sales and the guys from the Parts and Services Dept were both very accommodating. One bit of advice I would give to anyone going to Evans, be aware that it can be a little hectic in there as a lot of people visit it. Also the car park can be annoying as its so small, so any non-comfortable drivers may struggle to park. But don't let that put you off and there is ample parking on the industrial estate. Just like any other major garage forecourt, they are there to sell you a car, so don't be surprised if they .... err... try to sell you are car! Great bunch of people!

We had a really positive experience looking for a large second hand family car. Nick Wood really took the time to understand what we wanted and talk through our options with no pushy salesmanship. Having spoken to many, many garages during our search, he was by far the most respectful of me and my very many questions. We put a deposit on a car here but ultimately ended up finding our perfect car elsewhere, and he ensured that our deposit was refunded in a timely manner and kept me updated throughout. I was disappointed not to end up buying a car from here, and wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in the future.

I would recommend here to anyone. I applied for finance on a used Insignia on Sunday afternoon and was driving home in it on Wednesday. Matt was excellent from start to finish, even when I broke down on the way to part exchange my old car with them. First class customer service. If you’re after a new car then go see Matt. The car is there that i may want but ... . even though it was a rainy day and not many customers about. The gang of sleazy looking salesmen do not seem to want to help you. You have to go and find one who then passes you to someone else and waiting ages for him to arrive. I want to look inside the car. But first it's sit down, take your details, mumble about admin fees ? What's that for? Really really want you to have HP, warranties etc. I JUST WANT TO LOOK INSIDE THE CAR ! The original salesman I asked for help who passed me over was then seen fawning over a young couple looking at a brand new car. Needless to say, I will not be buying a car from here.

I expressed an interest in car on Cargurus. Within a few minutes I was contacted by staff at Nottingham Vauxhall. Not long after a video of the car I was interested in was sent to me. In these difficult times it proved very useful. I felt sorry for the operator of the video because the car had to cleared of snow and ice. I asked many questions over three days and eventually a generous deal was made with Aidan McCarthy and Chris his manager. Throughout the process I was treated with respect and courtesy. Because we are in difficult times the car is being delivered to me on the south coast some 187 miles away. Yet to experience the car as it will be delivered in two days time. I feel pretty positive the car will be as described by staff at the branch. Overall it was a positive experience, thank you everyone.

I was seeking a specific make and model and found one at Evans Halshaw Nottingham. Covid restrictions meant I could not travel to view however EH are offering free delivery during lockdown. Being naturally suspicious I had concerns that the car might not live up to expectations, however, Alan reassured me that if I wasn’t happy for any reason EH were also offering a no quibble 7 day return so I took the plunge and made the purchase. I needn’t have worried, Alan had given a very truthful and accurate description and the car is everything he had said and more. Evans Halshaw have branches nationwide should any warranty issues arise which is also reassuring to know. All in all a pleasant car buying experience which I would repeat without hesitation, thanks Alan.

Really appalling service and an absolute zero customer care. Bought a car and within a week warning lights started. Had to send for fixing and on return saw car scratched. Send the pics to the concerned team however someone by the name of Tom never got back to me in two months now. Warning lights blinking again within two weeks of fixing, and while fixing the warning lights the cabin lights stopped working. This is the care I got despite was asked to take an extended warranty Insurance. I would rather scrap my car than to visit Evans Halshaw Nottingham again. Pleaae never purchase even a thought from these guys.

If I could, I would give 0 stars. Wasted a whole day - drove up to Nottingham from London. We were advised by the dealership on the phone that we could take the care away the same day if we liked it. When we arrived, the car hadn't been serviced, MOT'd or cleaned. we were told that if we decided to buy the car we would have to come back to collect it or pay to have it delivered. Naturally we objected to that and they eventually agreed they would deliver the car free of charge. Therefore we decided to test drive the vehicle and it was appalling. The brakes were grinding and the clutch was faulty. We had to push the car during the test drive! Guess what? we didn't buy it! The dealership had very little to say by way of apology - really didn't seem to care. We felt pressurised to come and view the car very quickly (clearly before it was ready for us to ) as we were told that the price was going to increase and if we wanted it at the lower price we needed to reserve it and see it within 48 hours - hence our visit. If we had known it was going to be like this, we wouldn't have wasted our time Vehicle FN64 HKK - BEWARE Really really disappointed - not impressed with Evans Halshaw in general. Why are they increasing the cost of this car when there are clearly issues anyway - or maybe that IS why ....

As seen by other reviews on this establishment, their focus is very much on the sale of the vehicle. The aftercare support is next to none. If you are car savvy ensure you ask about every detail of the car you are buying. They will advertise the car has been ‘health checked’ prior to you picking it up, but this process is clearly a tick box exercise. I reported issues with a tyre within 24 hours of picking up my vehicle, the tyre pressure on said tyre was at 20 psi from the moment of pick up, indicating it clearly hadn’t been checked. Pumped up on the way home and a persistent slow puncture was obviously present. The complaint was ignored by numerous sales staff, clearly hoping I would just go away. When I finally got the vehicle checked they indicated there is nothing they can do and I will have to pay for a new tyre as your warranty doesn’t cover tyres, despite them acknowledging and being 100% aware of my previous complaint. Shocking aftercare service, trying to take every penny from you after clearly selling Sub standard vehicles, with no accountability.

Appalling after care service! There all nicey nice and your friends when your buying, test driving, even pick up day. But as soon as you leave the forecourt... Boom nothing but hassle. I have ongoing account, admin issues. Which are there fault, but there passing the buck. Now I'm stuck in the middle and 3 weeks later after getting my new car... There still not sorted. Not a clue. My new car feels like a piece of metal with issues. Don't use this garage guys, I'll be servicing and taking mine else where's now. Awful ???? My query is still ongoing with no answer. I'm updating this review to let you know that there complaints service is sectioned to the actual individual garages, totally bias and wrong. And their business manager is so sarcastic and argumentative on the phone. Not nice experience.

Appalling customer service from the so-called Customer Service Manager, Dave. Work van had an ongoing complaint with a faulty sensor under warranty which they failed to ever rectify. It’s failed the first ever MOT for the same issue and despite being in twice to Evans Halshaw under Warranty, am now left with a problem that has always been there since new. Warranty ran out yesterday and they won’t honour it - unbelievable!! Upon answering the phone I was met with a ‘what do you want me to do about it’ attitude. Not so much as a ‘bring it down, we will see what we can do’ at any stage. The man was rude, arrogant and thoroughly offensive. Will never use this place again and would strongly suggest people avoid buying a Vauxhall from them. I’ve never had a good experience when trying to deal with them and although ‘Dave’ said they have a 5 star rating online, judging by what I’ve read, this again is a complete lie. Avoid at all cost!

I would never buy anything off them again. Bought a Nissan off them. Within two months I had to pay £230 for a blown pipe in engine. Also took out a care plan with them. When I took it in for MOT less than a year later I was told it was going to cost me £1200 for suspension problems and various other issues. This was the same company who had given it a full check less than a year before. Very disappointed and had to sell car. I had driven less than 5000 miles in it. The biggest waste of money ever. I would say find another company to buy a car off. I would never trust them again.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Always welcomed with a smile. Only ever deal with Matt for car buying and he never fails to amaze me. Works around the clock to get me the best possible deal and completely understands if it’s not quite right for me. Never pushes anything for a sale, just re evaluates tries other options. Tom in the service department also is just a top man! Polite and genuine. When my car is in for service he Ensures I’m updated on its progress, and ensures I have everything I need whilst waiting. Both of these gentlemen deserve a medal (I can be a pain when I’m there) Although I’ve not had dealings with any of the others, everyone is always very welcoming (especially Al) Thank you And see you soon
